So kinda like Rayman in Captian Laserhawk, he will probably face discrimination due to being a foreigner and that might stir him to the side of Vampires and only Mina Hakuba can help him see the error of his ways.
Ehhh, it’s more like the actual way the IRL person was named. In Hungarian it was “Báthori Erzsébet” and in Slovak it was “Alžbeta Bátoriová” The Japanese name was likely a 1:1 katakana of the Hungarian name and then through translation was anglicized back into English’s “Elizabeth” 💀 “Bartley” is also distinctly Bri’ish sounding so maybe that was intentional
Hmmm…the ebony stone granted the possessor invulnerability and the ability to shroud their domain in perpetual night? Could be that Erzabeth Batory found a way to recreate the ebony stone. Would explain a lot.
From what I know ebony and crimson stones were two of the vampire Lord's treasures, one made the possessor invulnerable while the other shrouded the place where the possessor was in, in eternal darkness. Matthias used the crimson stone to somehow not only gain invincibility but also become the lord of darkness and Chaos's manifestation
I wish, oh i really wish, that Dracula shows up and goes "What is this bullshit?" And just eliminates erzabeth in a snap of a finger. Would be so satisfying.

Man, what is up with all the Erzebet copium on the internet? So far she's had to drink the blood of a god and obtain the obsidian orb just to do a few of the things a starving, suicidal Dracula could already do natively.
We haven't seen her at full power yet. But the few tricks she could do she completely decimated the protagonists. And we've only seen Dracula at his weakest and I don't think he has the Crimson Stone in this universe. Therefore its hard to tell whose more powerful but it would be interesting to have Ezrabeth be on par with Dracula. And even if he does win it wouldn't be an easy battle. Would really up the stakes for the protagonists.
I'm probably being nitpicky but I don't like that Nocturne was called a spinoff when it's a sequel, Rondo of Blood is a sequel and it still follows the Belmont bloodline it isn't a side story. Obviously the series was phenomenal but that just stood out to me and made me feel like I was thinking about the wrong game and time-line even though I've played them all
The reason why it was called a spin-off is because the director & the writer are not the same for Nocturne and the first animated series. The story behind it is that the director Adi Shankar for the first animated series actually wanted to directing the sequel and the story will actually focus on Simon Belmont, but due to allegedly sexual coersion case by the writer Warren Ellis caused the final season of the first animated series to be rushed and concluded as soon as possible to avoid IP damage. It is unknown what would happen to Warren Ellis, but Adi Shankar moved on to work on Devil May Cry Netflix animated adaptation.
Alucard and Leon Belmont gave almost the same response to Dracula, they wanted to fulfill the last wish of their mother and wife respectively. Dracula had the opposite: he rebelled at having his desire denied.
*What a great video! I also made some videos about Castlevania games, one of them is Castlevania order of Ecclesia Boss Rush only with Catwoman! Just copy paste that term and you will find it!*
You also forgot that the other japanese name you mentioned, the other dude that helped him as a guide and mentor? That was actually alucard under a different identity.
Nice video but you keep getting wrong the idea that Lisa was imploring Alucard not to harm the human race. She was imploring to Dracula not to Alucard.
Imagine this. God creates Lisa to return Dracula to the light. Then his own worshippers kill her in his name. Imagine the godly facepalm, and the ensuing salt.
I mean best franchise based on a video game ever. I dunno if it could be done justice, but I would like to see the legacy of Kain games turned into a series.
Is this lore from the games or the series? I get the feeling that the series is alot different as I would imagine Dracula is much older that he was in the games.
To be fair. It was Anette who said that, and she is from Haiti. She might not be up on vampire lords that lived 300 years ago. It was pretty clear Ritcher knew who Alucard was (as a myth) and he certainly is aware of Dracula. My guess is that Dracula is still alive in Nocturne, albeit Lisa is dead. But Dracula is probably living in that fishing village with her grave nearby, having found some measure of happiness and at peace with humanity. Hopefully we see him fight Bathory in the strongest Vampire cage match at the 11th hour.
Absolutely agree this was THE BEST video game anime adaptation of a series to date. If we cant get another season of the original story then i think Netflix should do a Legend of Zelda as graphic as Castlevania was 😎👍
This is definitely a nitpick to bring up, but Lisa was not crucified; she was burned at the stake. These are completely different forms of execution that were carried out at different points in history.
Idc what other say but this Anime is so fucking insane for everyone who like Vamp etc… Believe on them or not I would say that they are very proud of it 🤭

I honestly wasn’t expecting for the main antagonist in Nocturne to be related to Dracula, but it makes sense with the level of power she wields
Wonder if Nocturne will continue and she will attempt to bring back Dracula to its setting, Dracula’s power is so vast that even in a new era his influence is still felt through the series
Dracula was so cold he had DEATH working for him
I wonder if Alucard's parents ever visited him
Yes .....
Me too
You missed Mina Hakuba, the love interest of Soma Cruz. She's said to be the reincarnation of Lisa Tepes.
Or E - *lisa* - betta as well.
I never hear people talk much of soma Cruz. Did people not like him or something or is he just not popular enough?
@@jbgaming3221 If you've played the non canon multiplayer Metroidvania "Harmony of Despair" you would know Soma IS quite popular within the fandom both due to story as well as gameplay reasons which makes him one of the fandom's most favourite protagonists within the series's cast. The reason he's been ignored in current conversation is simply because the Netflix series has yet brought him into the spotlight as everyone is solely focused on the Richter bandwagon until the series moves on into the next storyline.
@@jbgaming3221 Soma is absolutely amazing. It's also heavily implied that he's the strongest character out there.
@@javiervasquez625 But he will be added, if this series does well enough. Adi Shanker, the producer of the show wants to go to the Aria and Dawn of Sorrow games, so he will get his own series probably after Nocturne. Given that they adapted a lot, I think they will make changes to him as well and his backstory, maybe he will be the son of a Vampire Dictator who started a whole world war in 1999 or from Dhampires...Personally I think the biggest changes would be his ethnicity, since the devs made him deliberately as non-japanese as possible and it would allow for a more elaborate and interesting backstory than a simple transfer student. So kinda like Rayman in Captian Laserhawk, he will probably face discrimination due to being a foreigner and that might stir him to the side of Vampires and only Mina Hakuba can help him see the error of his ways.
"Waltuh..... give me the stone Waltuh"
I just realized Erzsebet is just Elizabeth with a Japanese accent
Ehhh, it’s more like the actual way the IRL person was named. In Hungarian it was “Báthori Erzsébet” and in Slovak it was “Alžbeta Bátoriová”
The Japanese name was likely a 1:1 katakana of the Hungarian name and then through translation was anglicized back into English’s “Elizabeth” 💀 “Bartley” is also distinctly Bri’ish sounding so maybe that was intentional
Isnt the name pronounced Erizabesu
It's because she is based from Countess Elizabeth Bathory of hungry,
Ive always liked to compare Alucard to being the Rebis (in a way) thats talked about in the show.
Dracula really said
"I REJECT MY HUMANITY, LEON!!"
Well,
Phantom Blood came out like a year after the first Castlevania, so...
Hmmm…the ebony stone granted the possessor invulnerability and the ability to shroud their domain in perpetual night? Could be that Erzabeth Batory found a way to recreate the ebony stone. Would explain a lot.
I dont think you can recreate ebony stone. It was a treasure of Walter.
The ebony and crimson stones are faulty versions of the philosopher's stone, an attempt to make it so it's not impossible to make another of these two
@@motivation7982 where was that stated?
From what I know ebony and crimson stones were two of the vampire Lord's treasures, one made the possessor invulnerable while the other shrouded the place where the possessor was in, in eternal darkness. Matthias used the crimson stone to somehow not only gain invincibility but also become the lord of darkness and Chaos's manifestation
@@adriantepes4355 lament of innocence
I wish, oh i really wish, that Dracula shows up and goes "What is this bullshit?" And just eliminates erzabeth in a snap of a finger. Would be so satisfying.
Never played the games, but from watching the series, I'm dying to play if they make a new castlevania for next gen consoles.
I personally looooooooved both. I have not and dont plan on reading the books, Ijust enjoy good vamp anime cartoons. The dialogue is somewhat foreign to me. Its interesting how you all know your stuff from CastleVania to the Nocturne. I think its great. But i know ill never know it like this. Im just ready for more. 🤗💯🤗
0:56 new fan bc of the show :)
played SOTN on my phone to start and the next game i have access to is Curse of Darkness thanks to a friend letting me borrow his PS2 and the disc/memory card
_...my favorite vampire is: Drolta Tzuentes...i❤the voice actress Elarica Johnson..._ 🦇🖤...
Dracula is very strong! Imagine he fought the trio famished. 😮
can you do one over Drolta? Ive tried finding lore about her and its like it doesnt exist. is she an OC tied specifically to Nocturne?
I had a feeling Erzsebeth was related to Dracula
Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes, what a middle name lol
Dracula had the opposite: he rebelled at having his desire denied.
wait a minute, you're saying that the main antagonist of Castlevania Nocturn is the niece of count Dracula?!
But who is Mathias Cronqvist aka Dracula’s father and mother they never mentioned or talked about his parents
Lisa was shown in SotN, but briefly, well a doppelgänger of her, it was actually a succubus trying to trap Alucard.
I think Dracula did the right thing to wipe those bastards who killed his wife for their so-called reasons.
*What a great video! I also made some videos about Castlevania games, one of them is Castlevania order of Ecclesia Boss Rush only with Catwoman! Just copy paste that term and you will find it!*
Belmont Clan ain't nothing to mess with!
You also forgot that the other japanese name you mentioned, the other dude that helped him as a guide and mentor? That was actually alucard under a different identity.
💀
I am the Prince of Darkness... I am and will be, forever, a thorn in His side! That... is my vengeance!
Not a big Castlevania fan but this fills in a lot of gaps. Thanks.
Damn now I want a prequel
are we not gonna talk about how alucard's middle name is literally FAHRENHEIT?? like what were vlad and lisa thinking
Same genre
I wonder why Erzabeth didn’t claim the world when Dracula died I loveeeeed Carmilla but i don’t see how she would of allowed her to take the world
So this is probably a dumb question but would Erzsebet have any chance against Dracula even in her final form?
I dont think so
Nah. Dracula is too powerful.
Yes she is a God if what she claims is true but her transformation and feats align this to be the case.
@@notshockwavedemon7543 Dracula ain't a God.
@@TheCourtsOfLove Yeah
But he defies God and the belief of one
Sure she could claim to be a Goddess but man Dracula can wield the powers of Chaos.
Is this lore from the games or the series? I get the feeling that the series is alot different as I would imagine Dracula is much older that he was in the games.
To lose two wives like that, it's messed up
The fact that they said Dracula and nobody knew who he was is disgusting
I absolutely hated that.
@@Amann0407 Dracula vs Ezrebth 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Dracula REDEMPTION
I don't care! Alucard is gay, Maria is Lesbian
This varient kf dracula is somewhat like gilles de rais (minus certain aspects) where the loss of his love broke him, turning him against god.
I'm actually okay with nocturne getting a second season. Maybe it'll be different
I would like to see how Cassidy look on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X see how Dracula look the Belmont Clan looks and everything
Thanks for the video. What about "D" son of Dracula and Mina.
I honesty wouldn’t mind seeing alucard in love >>>>❤
I was today years old when I learned Alucard is Dracula backwards 😂😂
How was this found out? The game? Is there comic books?
Who would have ever foresaw Indian Dracula arc
Absolutely agree this was THE BEST video game anime adaptation of a series to date. If we cant get another season of the original story then i think Netflix should do a Legend of Zelda as graphic as Castlevania was 😎👍
This is definitely a nitpick to bring up, but Lisa was not crucified; she was burned at the stake. These are completely different forms of execution that were carried out at different points in history.
Idc what other say but this Anime is so fucking insane for everyone who like Vamp etc… Believe on them or not I would say that they are very proud of it 🤭
At 15:25 which animated adaptation is that on display for Soma Cruz?
Is that the Crumson Behelit? 3:13
After Nocturne is finished will they have a series with Simon?
Nope, we'll have devil may cry
@@Im_Vergil I understand most studios swap series after finishing one... Have they came out and said they will step away from Castlevania once Nocturne is finished?
Still can’t beat castlevania on the DS and I literally go back to it every couple months 😭 that shit actually starting to piss me off😂
I was wondering if vampires can produce offsprings with humans and those offsprings can resist sunlights why didnt they do it all the time, I mean sleeping with your food isnt the weirdest thing
Depends if you find the food attractive or not before sleeping with it?
How much those castlevania have to do with Vrising???
Well, I wouldn't say the first Netflix series was a "flawless" adaptation. Season Four definitely rushes to tie up a bunch of plots that Season Three left open, without really taking the time to let those plots breathe, and as a result the series conclusion feels very sloppy, like there was a whole season's worth of story that got skipped over because oops, the studio decided they weren't going to give the creatives enough episodes to wrap it all up...
...But it is a very, very good show, yes.
Isn’t Dracula the 1st vampire?
no, that goes to cain well depending of the myhtos.
If we go by videogame Lore he's just a guy who got pissed at God for forcing him to kill/impale to defend his land only to loose his wife to illness while he was away. To forever troll God he became a vampire and the closest thing to Satan as revenge for God's "betrayal".
@@javiervasquez625 Lord of Shadows lol just replace Mathias with Gabriel Belmont

Apparently No but he’s the most powerful one for some reason.
Can't wait for 2
Wish the makers of castlevania would do a Diablo show
"I'LL KILL YOU AND THE NIGHT!!!!" CASTLEVANIA IS A BADASS SERIES.
Well…. Arcane is amazing as well.
Now you’re lying. Trevor beat Alucard. Then after he explained himself they joined together.
So the main bad in nocturn is draculas niece?
As far as we know she isn’t.
In the games and in real life they were related she’s his niece in the game and in real life in a historical context they were distantly related like how most European nobility are or were now whether or not they mention that in the show is still up to debate
@@christopherwilliams8229 but I thought she was some goddesses incarnated

Elizabeth Bathory looks like Carmilla in drag.
To people saying this is a sequel,to the canon lore its not,to the first net flix adaptation it is,canon wise it has characters that never existed, net flix canon then most likely is canon.
But it's a sequel to Netflix's Castlevania.
@@melonsauce1474 that's what I said...
