From Superman #20 being Williamson best work yet, canary being overly verbose, justice league unlimited killing the game and and pick of the week being absolute W.W.!

I'm a new turtles reader and i find the books very engaging. I found each issue to have a very interesting and thoughtful approach. Also being new I want to dive more into each character and have a reason to care about them. I think the writers done a great job in my opinion.

Bro you missed the best book of the week! Spider Boy. Ringing back that all ages charm that no other book has. As a reader since the 80’s, Im over the rehash all in, ultimate, dark, too mature comics that are trying to be hollywood movie scripts. Just give me good ol superhero comics that are fun, wider audiences, with a good balance of stories and character development 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻😎🙌🏻
The rumor mill is indeed very active. I’ve heard Dan Slott’s name being thrown around as the potential new Superman writer. I’m not religious, but I’ve started praying that this doesn’t happen. If DC feels compelled to give him a series, let it be a new title that doesn’t conflict with Action Comics or the main Superman series. That way, I can skip it right from the start. As for Action Comics going weekly-this will change. According to the new DC Connect for February 2025, the series will return to a monthly schedule. Thank goodness… 😅

I read Justice league unlimited and it was Chaotic. All over the place with multiple teams going full blown "Save the world!" Makes zero sense cuz why all of sudden things go crazy soon as the league returns? There is many different ways to make your point across that we have many heros to save you without 4 different crises at the same time. It needs to slow down and give me something to connect with.

Gotta say, the first story of Action Comics is so much better than the second, I lose focus on the Supergirl story more and more each issue to the point I don't much care about whatever is going on in the Kara story.

I remember buying his first Dragonball Book at the LCS and this little dude finished it before we were home! Comics are just not what kids want these days.
Not necessarily true. I have three kids, one of them is like yours in that he prefers manga (still reads some mainstream comics), one could not be less interested, but one of them has really gotten into the hobby with me. Just depends on the kid I suppose.
Well, i should rephrase. The vast majority here in germany doesn't read western comics anymore. Or read at all which is even worse. If they read anything comic or related it is by far mostly manga. If i go to a book store they usually have no or just a small space for Marvel and DC Stuff but loooong shelves with various Manga.
Ultimate xmen and Uncanny xmen are trying so hard to appeal to the younger audience. I totally get why the comic industry needs that, but man I can smell the desperation.
Absolute Wonder Woman story is interesting but that artwork, I really don’t like it. Especially the harbingers design are just awful looking. The last creature at the very end looks like a butthole

I read the dogman books with my kids. It's a good starter if you want to get them into comics and graphic novels

I got a 5 year old. I read them comics when I can but there's a lot that isn't age appreciate but I read any age appropriate books I can to her.
