Zenith amazing as usual. Especially love that they are top of the line with fit and finish, yet fly under the radar. Perfect for a humble watch enthusiast.
Thanks again and again because I have been looking at this video again and again, what an amazing watch, gotta get this, and your video about it rocks!!!
@@TheWatchOuts, it's bigger than the Mark XX, but worse movement?... don't think so. Who needs 120 hrs of power reserve anyway? I'll take the hi-beat. Plus, the El Primero is a true in house movement, unlike the IWC, which is based on an ETA 2893, made by ValFleurier, and shared amongst other Richemont brands. There's nothing special about it.
Hi @richpaul6853 - watches will often sell before they are posted, and in many cases they sell immediately after posting based on people that see the video. Please give us a call if you would be interested in purchasing this watch if the sale falls through or we get another one of these watches. --Team WatchBox
40mm with a 49mm lug to lug too large??? You're nuts. It's perfect for the most common wrist sizes. You may be an outlier with a 5 inch wrist but for the majority of people it's the perfect size.
I think he meant too thick at 13.3mm. The diameter and lug to lug are perfect. It's just the thickness could have been better. 13.3 is definitely wearable for everyday, but just imagine how lovely 12 - 12.5mm would have been. Ultimate comfort.
Not necessarily.... legibility and Arabic numerals are the main components of a good pilots watch. The original flieger watches were all three handers.
While previous Pilot extra special was funny, but it's design certainly belonged to the beginning of XX century; this one is bland mix of random elements, not belonging to anywhere - it does not resemble any epoch of aviation. Beobachtungsuhr hands, corrugated metal sheet imitating dial from 1920's , "Pilot" font from original watch, and desk alarm clock font for main numbers, not resembling any aircraft-related fonts, speedy's second hand, and a field watch case - quite something to talk about if it would come from Aliexpress. Ahh, and that helpless dash instead of six, interfering with the date window. Maybe it's good mechanically, as all Zeniths are, but after all said, I really don't care.

Please review the new chronograph version if you ever get a chance. The big date with flyback is one of my favourite chronographs out there.
A great watch from one of my favourite brands.

Zenith never fail to impress forbthe last 5yrs. Love Zenith infact is my favourite watch marker among my correction. Great review Tim.
I'll take this over the Mark XX all day
Mark XX 5 day power reserve, vs. 60 hours. I don’t see the advantage of the hi beat. The both are very accurate. This watch is too thick.
This costs almost 2x the mark XX, has a worse movement and is bigger and thicker.
The Mark XX is way better
@@rickjason215an average man can easily wear a 14mm thick watch. I’m guessing you have feminine wrists so yeah probably not for you

@@TheWatchOutworse movement lol the IWC isn’t even in-house. I prefer vertically integrated manufacturers
What happened with that Defy Lab series with the silicon oscillator? Did those turn out not to be reliable?
A honest watch. A good looking watch. A watch that often deserves more credit than others realise until its too late. I am ( guilty of said charge).
Classic looking but a few little details on the dial would make it that much better !
Why are so many of the watches you show that are for sale turn out to be on a wait list?

A do it all watch
Amazing watch
Nice, very nice but it's second hand should be capped.
I like it!
Love this watch, but unfortunately, it’s a little too large

49mm lug lug wears large tbh... a 47mm might be more suitable @@steelsteez6118
Too thick I’d say

Kaum herausgekommen und schon auf dem Graumarkt. Na das fängt ja mit den neuen Modellen gut an.
😂
Always thought a pilot watch had to be a chronograph😗
Nein. Meistens nie.

@@Angry_Gnome well-man -that’s-like-just your opinion 🤗
@@mjcruiser4238 not really an opinion, but ok...Dude👌🏼
Why would anyone wear a watch that says "pilot" with quotation, like an ironic statement that means the opposite.
This is my biggest gripe with the watch. I love the look of it but I can’t get past the quotes.
Omega Seamaster and Blancpain Aqualung had a fat baby.
male or female?
13.2mm thick....eek
No
Too thick !!! Why !!!
Kinda bulky for a real pilots time only watch. Besides pilots don’t really need a date in the cockpit do they?
I’m a pilot and having the date is generally useful when on a trip
Zenith has some nice looking watches. They just aren't practical. Giant stuff sticking out, bad proportions..
Lol yeah they’re not very compatible with feminine wrists.
It looks like a wall clock for your wrist.
No, it looks like a pilots watch.
