    I'm from silver spring maryland But I live in south carolina now And I would definitely make the trip back and forth to see them play at the RFK Site I can remember going to those games as a kid I loved it And I would definitely come back for that. HTTC!!!

    Also I do want the stadium to be at the RFK site and I want a retractable roof so DC can host Super Bowls, NCAA Basketball, Neutral site college games, bring a major bowl game to the area, friendlies between major soccer powers.

      @@Rio_Robinson91 I would love for the opportunity to see a neutral site game between say Georgia and USC......to expierience MAJOR college football would be awesome. Same goes for NCAA tournament basketball, that would be awesome. UFC, Boxing, concerts! Having not just a stadium but an event center would be a huge boon for DC as well from the tax revenue to all the cash influx into the local economy.

      @Rio Robinson Definitely will be nice when we do make a return to the playoffs to not have to play on a muddy asf field. Swear that and Shanahans ridiculous decision to play RGIII, cost him his career depriving us of a Franchise QB. Still pisses me TF off to this day.

    I would like them to knock down the DC armory and include that in the plans to build a new stadium complex at the sight similiar to SO-FI where you have the stadium and a smaller venue that replaces the DC Armory all under one roof.

      IDK, look at that geography. A lot of people that live along side area will be coerced to move. I am NOT in favor of rich people building out of nostagia. Plus, although DC Armory replacement is probably a necessity, they also have to build over a river, the Anacostia I believe? Nasty ass Anacostia, one of the dirtiest rivers in America?!? Ewww. As much as it would rest my Granddad's soul to have the Commanders in Washinton again, VA, IMO, is a better option.

    • @Bellthorian
      @Bellthorian Рік тому

      @@garytucker3563 I am all for gentrification and redevelopment of distressed areas. Letting entire areas of a city go to crap and become third world slums should never be a viable option. Rivers that are dirty today are not always so. The Anacostia River's return to swimmable and fishable is well underway with its waters receiving a passing grade for the third time in four years in the 2021 State of the River Report Card.

    Good to see you come around on where the stadium should be. A 65,000 seat stadium at the RFK site is what I want.
    But I must disagree as strongly as possible on the type of a stadium. No damn domes. Part of the home field advantage that Washington had was inclement weather in December and January. A dome makes your team soft especially in January (see Cowboys, Dallas). The people that really love this team and know football were always hale and hearty enough to show up in awful weather. And you mentioned it, but why was the seat cushion game iconic? Thay cold rain falling on Hammer and Prime's head as the Hogs ground the Falcons down to dust. Mark Moseley's record breaker to beat the Giants in 82. Snow. When the whole league is going the wimpy direction. The right move is away from that

    • @gregsteele1921

      @Greg Steele They want a Super Bowl. In the dead of winter when everyone in government is there and when the fewest tourists come. I want to come home and see Halle Berry waiting for me, that ain't happening either. If they compromise our ability to win the SB to host one Super Bowl (and it will only be 1) this group will damn themselves as owners who can't see the bigger picture

    I know there was a study done several years ago and the bulk percentage of Commaderskins fans/season ticket holders lived in Virginia. Their training camp has been in Richmond, their home offices/practice complex is in Ashburn. Why not build the new stadium in Virginia? DC is too crowded and compressed with bad traffic especially with Nats Park and Audi field too. Virginia fans have commuted long distances for far too long.
