I checked with out DNR and they said this specific plastic pipe is great to build cover. If you see spools of this pipe on the side of the road , just ask them. They have to send the short pieces to the dump
I mainly fish reservoirs also, do you have trouble with these in current? I set some last year and I am pretty sure they are gone, I cant find them. The lake definitely has some good current during times of the year.
I’m almost sure it’s legal here in South Carolina. I’m defiantly putting some out this year. Tons of it out in Santee, only problem is I can never find it.
Please stop calling it structure!! That would be cover. Structure is the ledge, point etc. where you place it. Sorry just a pet peeve of mine. Good video though.
Dude.... I like your channel but.... that stuff you are dumping in the lake is an environmental nightmare.... It is estimated it takes 1000 years for a plastic bottle to decompose ..... that stuff looks like it is made from stronger material than plastic bottles !!!
Please don’t comment about things that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. This exact method is used around the world, fresh and sea water, to create aquatic habitat.
How was the fishing there now?
What about a shallow lake 8 to 9 ft

Is that legal?
Interesting design. How do you lock in the sticks/innerduct to keep them from pulling out if they loosen after the concrete sets...??? Thanks
So did fish come to these? Got any updates?
So did these work
Awesome video. I’m going to try setting some of these structures out myself. Thank you for the info.
You should bring your boat up to the Madison lake chain you can stay at my place or the crown point resort my buddy owns on the lake.
Excellent video! I was wondering if you could suggest where I could go to find this interduct? Thanks, Sam
Is it legal to drop stuff like that in the Lake?
A liberal comment of course - Let's Go Branden!!!
@@salinger007 how's that a liberal comment?
watch out, in Illinois it is illegal to put out your own unless its a private lake
Illinois, New York, California - of course it is.
did this end up working to hold fish?
That interduct looks like it would be perfect for making bank poles.
Where was the Livescope view of it. Side imaging isn’t Livescope. That didn’t really show much on the sonar. Good video other than yhat
What is the yellow pencil looking thing hanging on your vest
called a toothpick. its a hook remover tool i use while crappie fishing
Thanks you have furthered my education
Crazy putting plastic in the water.
I would like to know what kind of boat your in?
homemade. i built it
Wheres the build on your boat?
Thats awesome. Great idea. Re purpose, re use, recycle.
I made 20 of them this summer. I'm going to set them after Christmas.
Nicely done
Better check with your local dnr, some states do not allow it period. But it does work hehe
Id like to know how those work! I got miles of that stuff!
Basically it allows the fish an area to bed crappie like structure my lakes here in Oklahoma are full of these they really help the fish
don't know about that plastic..but Christmas trees are great.
Thanks for the triangle setting of structure.
Do you need permission to drop structure and who from?
Great video, I’ve been doing the same thing for a few years now. Glad to see our system is pretty similar.
Try and fish this next spring so we can see if the fish respond.

Nice boat!
Great vid.
In california it's considered littering.... Unless you pay for permitssss.....then you pretty much have to clean up the mess...
who gives a crap about what California requires?
Great video, im interested in learning more about placing structure!
Like the boat! What size boat is it?
Hey Jake check out his videos on the boat build! Believe it or not he made that in his shop. Awesome videos!
Good information. Making some similar.
Cool video sir! Thanks! Subscribed!
Good looking structure, going to let my brother know about using that stuff. Al
Surprised the state allows plastic made structure into environment.
A LOT of state agencies use this EXACT same kind of structure. Nothing new here!
They don’t if it’s a water supply lake....unless permitted by local government..
Guys... That conduit is made of HDPE. So are modern drinking water pipes. As far as I know, HDPE does not leech chemicals into the water.

Make a video showing how to make them
Great job!
If you're in the trades, don't say masonary. Its masonry.
I passed by a spool of it the other day and had this exact idea so I’m definitely gonna try them now thanks for the conformation 😂😂
Probably another way people cheat during tournaments. Placing structure they know will get them fish months later in a tournament
All that shit in the lake costs me a lot of money and time while drifting.
When do you pull that trash back out of the lake
Only bad thing about those which is good for u my side imagine don't pick plastic or pvc up worth a dang
Isn't that Littering... 😁
Indeed!!!
No
Are you a member of I.T.A.?
Please stop calling it structure!! That would be cover. Structure is the ledge, point etc. where you place it. Sorry just a pet peeve of mine. Good video though.
That is not structure! That is cover! The whole bottom of the.lske is Structure!
Get a life Champlain!
I am shocked environmentalist are not having a shit fit!!!!
"how to litter the public water " - this guy
Dude, you can’t do that 😂
how about you don't litter in the lake, I can tell you it doesn't need more plastic. It's fine for a private pond, but this is ridiculous.
Dude.... I like your channel but.... that stuff you are dumping in the lake is an environmental nightmare.... It is estimated it takes 1000 years for a plastic bottle to decompose ..... that stuff looks like it is made from stronger material than plastic bottles !!!
Good, the fishing will be good for 1000++ years!
Material chosen so as not to decompose....get to fishing
How many people you know been around 1000 years to run an estimated study on this fishing structure. Stop being ignorant.
Do your research. the DNR (biologist) use PVC fish structures like these all over the country, they don't use wood.
Please don’t comment about things that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. This exact method is used around the world, fresh and sea water, to create aquatic habitat.
Most of the time you need permission to do this
