Thank you for taking the time to watch, and for your kind words. I am happy to share the little I captured on video back more than 30 years ago of the Southern Pacific and ATSF railroads - had I known that neither would be with us today I would have done more. I miss my favorite railroads.
Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to watch. I'm happy to have gotten the footage I did, but now wish I had gotten more, especially during daylight. Most of my cab ride footage was at night because it was easier to keep a low profile and the crews I rode with were more comfortable with it
Wow. Ok first off, I'm extremely jelious that you have this footage!!! This is very cool, and I appreciate you sharing this! I wish I could work Dolores yard
Both sequences, light engines, and container train that we were holding for were both taken just north of the wye to the Long Beach Branch. I think that would make the grade crossing PCH
I agree with you 100%. I have migrated all of my content to Odysee if you would like to watch over there, without being interrupted with annoying ads! I used the same ID so my channel should be easy to find. Thank you for watching, and taking the time to share your thoughts
UA-cam fed me your vid, and I'm glad, this is the finest railroad night photography I've seen. absolutely superb. thanks!

I miss the good old days at Dolores and on Alameda on the southern pacific line. Brings back memories of the 70s and 80s
Thank you for your comment. I think those years over which I was able to do these videos was the twilight of the best age in railroading/railfanning.
What a time gone by major!! SP and ATSF still at their finest in those days! Thanks for sharing this great footage again!
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
This was 2 years before the construction of the Alameda Corridor began.
Yes, the best of times. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Your footage came out fantastic in such low light! Thank you for sharing these scenes in SPs final year!
