@@58RioO appreciate it! It’s been a few months since I posted this, got a new otk kart and sold this one. Still having some problems with physicality, and my times are closing in on where I want to be. Certainly a challenge this sport, but I’m willing to accept it. Good luck with Rotax!
This is why we insist people start in the lower power class kart. Beginning with a 35HP X30 or Senior Rotax is a disaster. Starting with a 9 hp LO206 is the best way to learn. When you start with the lower power kart, you can push the limit much harder and you will learn kart control much better. Going off track in a 206 at 40MPH is less violent than going off track in an X30 at 70mph. In the low-power class, you learn more about momentum driving and the benefits of a better line, corner exit, keeping speed up through the corner, etc. Once you have learned these you can understand the higher power class with a solid foundation of good kart control. I have seen too many drivers start with a powerful kart and their progress is stunted! Often they give up thinking they are not skilled drivers.
