I didn't read much about him before. Recently I read one of his book 8-10 page max . I have not made such disagreement with him . But I read Gandhiji, Neheru , Bhagat Singh, Netaji. But I think I have seen only one true Nationalist may be Nataji Subhash Chandra Bose. But it's true that once Netaji warned both Savarkar and Jinnah for communal Speech. Also verious times he threatened against Shyama Prasad Mukharjee, who was a A Founding Father of BJP because of Communal speech and politics. Also he send some of his man to Stop him . Both are bengali but Shyama Prasad Mukharjee was a Communal person. And he was a indirect reason of Bengal Division ( which is a reason for India's Partition also ) . It's actually a sad time, cause we are getting the info from different UA-camrs/social media/traditional media (who are only humans), instead we should get our information from books and self study. A youtube video is only good for developing the initial interest in a topic, but further self study matters more for fundamentals.

Dr Ambedkar and Veer Savarkar both had great, mutual and life long respect for each other. Dr Ambedkar helped Dalits by writing our constitution and Savarkar did it by writing Hindutva. One bought equality into law and other into people's hearts and mind. That is why both of them respected each other so much.

Coming to Savarkar his motive was to serve the British to get ultimately to freedom (through mutiny)and Gandhi also supported British in WW1 because they promised to give India dominion status after WW1 (and then British did a flip after the war), so both support British temprorialy to attain something for India and neither succeeded.

Not sure about country but my household always downplaying Gandhi and spoke highly about the likes of Savarkar brothers, Bose, Bhagat Singh etc. And I'm from Gujarat. We know when we see a real freedom fighter. My grandfather always stood by his belief of Gandhi being a mere negotiator. A stoog being planted in South Africa and then brought to India. Gandhi was the lubricant to make sure things dint get violent between the angry Indians and the British govt. Hence the ahimsa BS. Us being Gujjus ourselves don't rate Gandhi as much as the world wants us to. We're a dry state but we still drink. Sab naam ka Hai, no one gives a toss about Gandhi on the ground.

Savarkar articulated 7 shackles that kept hindu society chained. As a person from Maharashtra, I am really happy that the rest of India is finally recognising the brilliance of Veer Savarkar. His contribution is not only as Nationalist Freedom fighter and Social reformist, but his also to modern Indian literature and language. The two greatest Philosopher of Independent India are Veer Savarkar and Dr. Ambedkar. Unfortunately, both are misunderstood and their work has been discredited.

He is not very wrong. Dr Ambedkar and Veer Savarkar both had great, mutual and life long respect for each other. Dr Ambedkar helped Dalits by writing our constitution and Savarkar did it by writing Hindutva. One bought equality into law and other into people's hearts and mind. As Maharashtrian I read about him from my childhood. My father always said if all bhartiya have 1% of his patriotism for country then our country will be at top no riots, no brashtrachar etc all those things which make our country weak

@@wolfeinstine6677 revolt of 1857 was nothing like what you making it up to be, it was fought by Hindus & Muslims because of their religious sentiments (kings & queens for their kingdoms) and not for a nation, it wasn’t planned nor organised which is why it failed. Coming to Savarkar his motive was to serve the British to get ultimately to freedom (through mutiny)and Gandhi also supported British in WW1 because they promised to give India dominion status after WW1 (and then British did a flip after the war), so both support British temprorialy to attain something for India and neither succeeded.

Not sure about country but my household always downplaying Gandhi and spoke highly about the likes of Savarkar brothers, Bose, Bhagat Singh etc. And I'm from Gujarat. We know when we see a real freedom fighter. My grandfather always stood by his belief of Gandhi being a mere negotiator. A stoog being planted in South Africa and then brought to India. Gandhi was the lubricant to make sure things dint get violent between the angry Indians and the British govt. Hence the ahimsa BS. Us being Gujjus ourselves don't rate Gandhi as much as the world wants us to. We're a dry state but we still drink. Sab naam ka Hai, no one gives a toss about Gandhi on the ground.

As a person from Maharashtra, I am really happy that the rest of India is finally recognising the brilliance of Veer Savarkar. His contribution is not only as Nationalist Freedom fighter and Social reformist, but his also to modern Indian literature and language. The two greatest Philosopher of Independent India are Veer Savarkar and Dr. Ambedkar. Unfortunately, both are misunderstood and their work has been discredited.

He is not very wrong. Dr Ambedkar and Veer Savarkar both had great, mutual and life long respect for each other. Dr Ambedkar helped Dalits by writing our constitution and Savarkar did it by writing Hindutva. One bought equality into law and other into people's hearts and mind.
