Very cool. A couple suggestions: 1. It would be awesome if you offered your Aero uppers with Sgt of Arms hand guards (they interface with the Aero M4E1 enhanced uppers but feature an integrated arca rail) 2. For barrel lengths I'd suggest considering the divisions in the Quantified Performance matches, so a 16", 18 or 20", and then your 22" would cover all 3 divisions.

Anybody that asks why 22 DPC is any better than a 22 Grendel must not have ever loaded a 22 Grendel. Getting the Grendel brass created correctly is a huge headache, whereas forming the DPC is almost a no-brainer. Absolutely. Yeah I have a 224 Grendel and just got annoyed of the brass conversion from 6.5 Grendel. The performance of this wild cat is exactly the same with slightly less powder but way eazier to convert brass
If you are matching the performance of a bolt gun 6 BR YOU ARE WAY OVER PRESSURE! The reason for the 6 ARC’s lower pressure limit is the limitation of the bolt. To maintain the same bolt thrust of a .223 when using a PPC size case head the pressure level must come down, as it does with the 6 ARC. A bolt gun can greatly exceed the pressure level of an AR-15.
Assumptions are incorrect my brother. As I stated I verified loads with a pressure trace 2 system. 53K PSI. check out the other videos or posted results
@@EagleEyeShooting I’m glad to learn that you have done that. I am aware that the reason 6 ARC has the shoulder pushed back is to limit case volume and to prevent 6 PPC bolt gun rounds being fired in an AR which would cause problems. IMO Hornady messed up in not designing a new (stronger) bolt and corresponding barrel extension. I’ve discussed it with them and they did not object to my conclusion. 5.56/.223 bolts have enough problems of their own. I would expect even more frequent bolt lug inspection to be in order with any of the PPC case head rounds. May I ask if you used powder commonly available to end users?
Hornady factory 6 ARC is pushing 60K at 31gr of their properitary superformance blend. From my measurements and pressure trace testing. 5.56 can push upwards in the 62K. As long as the bolt face is 50+ RC. Pressures around 60K peak should not cause bolt face failure. Though it's just smarter to stay away. The 22 DPC builds the same pressure but also prolongs the dwell time and pressure curve making it more difficult to get on the backside of that pressure curve before the bolt tried to strip the cartridge. Hence my testing and why I settled with a Rifle +2 gas system. The load data and results will mimic 22 Grendel aka 224 Grendel at .3gr less
@@EagleEyeShooting The failure point of AR bolts is the lugs. I’ll accept that the hardness of the bolt face may well be an indirect indicator of lateness of the lugs. Better quality steel than “MilSpec” pieces is also crucial IMO. I still believe Hornady missed an opportunity by failing to redesign the bolt and barrel extension. I would be interested to learn the field experience of the “government agency” (Cough! SPECOPS) with the 6 ARC. That we haven’t heard anything makes me wonder if there were problems. Cheers

May I ask if you used powder commonly available to end users?
One other question. What’s the heaviest bullet you can use and stay within pressure constraints?
Cheers
I want a COMPLETE, READY TO SHOOT OUT OF THE BOX one. I would prefer 22 inch barrel.
Please contact me. Thanks, bill
