Not quite sure, I would say bring your amp when you go to the store to try it out.. or if you are ordering it online, make sure there is a good return policy. It is a very good sounding pedal, however it may not be what you are looking for.. you may be happier with a blues driver, Duke of tone, nobles odr1, Wampler belle, klon clone, plexi amp in a box, etc, all have a very good low to medium gain sound.. hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
@@MarshallGTV I mean it was kind of a Christmas gift somebody ordered for me so I'm kind of stuck with it now y'know? But the amp already has a drive setting on it and it sounds horrible but this pedal has a lot more settings I can adjust maybe I can get it to sound better than what the amp can do by itself. I haven't owned a pedal before so this would be my first one but given that my amp already doesn't like overdrive from its own setting kind of has me losing hope for this pedal as good as a pedal it maybe
@@fordthefox9870 if it’s the small lyx amp, dial the drive to where there is a very small amount of gain, to where the breakup only happens when you lean into the strings. Then use the hustle drive to bring it to the desired gain level. I think you’ll be happy with the results.
I cannot buy a Fulltone OCD, sorry for being poor. So God Bless China and it´s strugle against poverty!!!!!!, even though it´s not exactly the same, chinese things are good enough to play with them for a cheaper price.
I have not. I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish. When I set up a pedal board I generally follow a specific signal chain. From the guitar I will go to a compressor then a boost pedal (tube screamer) then to a distortion pedal, then to a clean amp. This pedal I would use as a distortion not as a boost, but there are no rules. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. If you just want added fizz for solos and you’re happy with the base grind from your amp and the tubescreamer(green mile) then sweet! Just check the gain staging and throw this on the front end.. personally I try to keep the gain pedals to 3 or less due to inherent issues from the noise floor. I’ll start with the distortion pedal at unity volume with the lowest usable gain setting in the 11-2 o’clock range and set the tube screamer in front of it at slightly above unity volume and gain at 8-9 o’clock. I would use the compressor at the very beginning of the chain at just unity volume and working very little (comps usually just for clean sounds).
MarshallGTV answers everything!!!! Thank you so much :) then My green mile will act as my boost, then for the Hustle drive it will be my lead pedal for me to have a higher gain for a solo. Thank you so much!
I bought one and it's basically unusable due to the severe click when the footswitch is pressed. It's more of a bang than a click, completely ruins a transition from cleans to overdrive. Have tried it with different power supplies and amps, in and out of a chain and it is crap. The tones are great if you don't mind the horrible bang. Perhaps I just got a bad one that slipped through QC checks.
Double check your pedals, if you are running a bunch of true bypass ones, put a boss pedal at the beginning and end of your chain. With a lot of TB pedals the capacitance might be too much, and you may need some buffers. Cheers!
@@MarshallGTV thank you! i did check and i have a pedal with a buffer near the end of the chain, but when i connect only the hustle drive to the amp it still sounds way too dark to be usable, maybe it was a defectuous run?
@@diegopalominoss no problem. Even with one pedal straight to the amp when TB you are still introducing capacitance.. If you are able to, try to use a buffered pedal before and after.. there is a video Pete Thorn did with buffered pedals to illustrate this. Also I think there is a roll off switch on this pedal. I’m not sure (I had to sell this pedal a while ago) hope that helps!
@@MarshallGTV wow thank you so much! that clears a loooot of doubts i had about tone suck, it was always the cable length, so in theory if i had a buffered pedal first in the chain my problem could be solved? i guess so since i have a boss chorus buffered pedal before my delay which is last. Also do you mean the low peak and high peak switch?
Really an incredible pedal for the money. One of the best pedals out there for Stones or Aerosmith type material.
Definitely a fun pedal, thanks for watching!
Great demo, thanks.
Mooer makes very good quality gear
Excellent review, thank you.
O.C.D. germanium is great, I love this pedal demo O.C.D. I will get a Hustle Drive. (High Pass filter, Low pass filter)
And by the way, thank you for this excellent review.
New demo video for the Mooer Audio Hustle Drive. Enjoy!!
Will this pedal sound good on a small amp I have a lyx pro and it's a smaller amp so I'm not sure if it'll sound good or not

@@MarshallGTV yes the small red one "AGL-20" thanks bro 🤟🎸

I WANT to say I'd be embarrassed to have this next to my JHS Double Barrel, but I'd be lying. It just sounds good in this video.

Very nice demo! I enjoyed listening. Is this a good pedal for a solo drive?
Ivor Revelo yes! You can use it as a boost to an existing drive pedal or amp but I prefer a tubescreamer style pedal. Thanks for watching!
