Mike was not only a hard puncher, but he was also an expert at avoiding being punched. Definitely the legend!
All of us who were alive in the 80’s were blessed to watch this man fight and bring all that excitement to the world of boxing. Tyson was vicious. What a legend.
There people now claiming that most of mike fights were against unknowns and he was overhyped . I watch this now and i am like wow...... They just refuse to acknowledge the mans greatness.
A pity he couldn't beat any top level opponent...and got KO'D every time he lost 🤣🤣🤣
@@tiniray08 dont know bout that. most of the guys mike beat got either their first loss or he was one of their few losses. others were ducking until after his peak. mike took on all comers.
@@kenzo7513 none of them where top level..he ducked top level or was KO'D by them..the only decent top level opponent was a 38 year old Holmes who came out of retirement to fight Tyson and had only one month to prepare for the fight..why didn't Mike fight Foreman, Morrison,Bowe, Moorer, Tua...these were quality opponents. What prime are we talking about?..when he lost to Douglas he was 24 ..how much prime than that...in fact a boxers prime is early 30's.
I tell you Mike 's problem..he had no fighters heart and he couldn't beat adversity plus he couldn't adapt..he had no plan B.He never avenged any of his losses all were by knockout.I don't see him great at all.His reign was short, he didn't proved himself as a great Champion..he won his belts from low level Champions ,not great champions(one was a light heavyweight)..if you want to be great you have to be a warrior and defend that belt as many times as you can against top level.
@@kenzo7513 what "people"??? That sound slike bullshit. I know of "no one" that thought that way.
Watching Mikes terrific offense you tend to overlook how good he was at avoiding punches. He made himself a hard target and just kept pushing forward and pounding away.
I remember watching him on the weekends in college. Every Saturday or two you got to watch another 30 second fight.
If I'm remembering right, I went to the bathroom when they got in the ring & touched gloves, & heard my friends yelling, "Holy shit!". I rushed back to the living room & it was over. I remember the news/sportscasters saying, he made something like $200,000 a second, for that fight! 🤣🤣🤣
Tyson was undefeated until he faced himself
"we lose to ourselves before we lose to an opponent" - Mike Tyson
Would have had losses anyway
Jordan s
Cujo Killjooh he was great but beatable.
Mark Rawson Not in his prime.. if Mike stayed focused and stopped with the drugs.. he would have left undefeated.
The way Mike Tyson hit was so scary. Never in my life have I seen someone hit so hard. It's like you can see permanent damage being done with every hit.
He have a good night punch
Life itself its so hard
Yes, and the speed at which thy come scary....... George Forman could knock out a bull elephant with his jab. Ernie Slivers hooks could send you to space, butter bean over hand right was nuclear...
But non of them are even in the same conversation as Tyson..... I don’t think there is a comparison to Tysons upper cut. Hands-down that punch would place you in the judgment seat.... It would separate the spirit from the body. Luckily never happened..
Every Tyson punch could knock you out, even if his feet weren’t planted..
He don’t get the credit he deserves for his footwork and body movement.
@@thespiritof76.. I agree, those are great fighters you named but Tyson was on another level. I'm glad our generation got the pleasure of watching him fight. I don't think there will be another like him.
Side note, I don't think aby athlete in this world made money faster than Tyson. He'd make millions in seconds, lol
Nostalgic Gaming yep. When he knocked out larry Holmes, left him dazed and confused on the floor of the ring....
Asked after fight: What do you think of the plan Holmes had to box you..
Mike Tyson:
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face....
Mike Tyson was very respectful to his opponents most of the time. Mostly after every knock out, he has displayed good sportsmanship
Maybe chewed off an ear here or there’
Don't. Tell. Holyfield.
@@clevertaco328 Maybe someone should have told hollie to stop headbutting. SSSHHHHSHHH
Watching his career as it happened, I was always shocked how brutal he could be, but almost apologetic to his opponents in victory.
I remember reading something about Mike being worried about killing his opponent in the ring and hugging them because he was happy they survived. He would say these people have families that love them. Lol he said his hands are a blessing and a curse.
Mike Tyson was a phenomenon. I literally remember every one saying "Will it last more than the 1st round." Iron Mike was that gd
Am I the only one who gets happy to read/see good comments on Mike Tyson ♥️...
Probably, yeah
Nope. Tyson is the best. Just broken like the rest of us.
Loved seeing him fight
No your not brother 👍😎
Not at all
Tyson gang members are here
I never get bored watching Tyson.
Tyson possessed relentless pursuit combined with excellent defense. His head movement made him a hard target to hit. Now add incredible power and accuracy, pretty much sizes up what it takes to be an Undefeated, Undisputed Champion. Those of us who are old enough to have seen his career unfold are the privileged ones for watching history as it was made...
Tyson was a monster. Anyone who fought him knew that they were going to get hurt. Best boxer that ever lived. No one will ever compare to him. Sure glad I lived through that era. 😎
Salute
He's not the best boxer lol that was disproved
I hate it when people who never watched Tyson in his prime think that he can't box and that it was all based on power and intimidation. Before he started slipping and having all that personal drama, he was a complete boxer. Tough punching power, yes, but also a good jaw, solid defense, and fast movement. Eventually, everyone was just melting at the sight of him, so of course he would just swing wildly for the heck of it.
They have no clue until mike blasts them in the face himself lol
I watched tons of his fights live. We did a pool at 5.00 a piece and drew round numbers out of a hat. Whoever got round 1 was usually the lucky one. Lol
It doesnt matter even if it was only power and intimidation (i think its not) in sports your the best and it doesnt matter how as long its legal
Rediculous foot work and head movement for a heavy weight. A very skilled and complete boxer.
He is a street fighter not a boxer
A boxer like Tyson comes along about every 100 years or so.
300
I don't know im thinking every millennia.
B&N Ferguson what about Roy Jones jr they are pretty similar
@@Tres-K-47 yeah Roy Jones Jr is really awesome and i am not taking anything away from him being one of the many great legends of boxing but iron Mike really stood out his era, his intimidation factor, the excitement of it all puts this man above the rest and besides Ali,Tyson is a house hold name most people know of him even people that are not fans of boxing know who he is.
In The Ring magazine's list of the 80 Best Fighters of the Last 80 Years, released in 2002, Tyson was ranked at No. 72.He is ranked No. 16 on The Ring magazine's 2003 list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Professional boxing pundits trainers knows more than you.
Tyson was so explosive!
Imagine being in the ring with him when the bell sounded.
ADRENALINE RUSH!!!
That's when you cried for your mama😄
Man, i miss Mike. Wish his career could’ve lasted longer.
Tyrell Biggs looked like he was rethinking his whole life after the knock down

Who the fuck is Tyler Biggs?
Tyrell Biggs
He was, Mike was going after that eye...
Hell ya bro 😂 he was like "yoooo wtf did I get myself into" 😂😳
I’ve always been the type of dude that would never give up my corn bread to a bully no matter how dangerous they were but young Mike Tyson can have my corn bread.

Mike Tyson was the best boxer I've ever seen.
When i was a young man Mike was like Superman to me and many of my friends.
Nobody before or after him can compare to the excitement and determination he brought to the ring.
We wouldn't bet on who would win the fight, we bet of how many seconds Mike would let him stand.
Boxing is boring now.
It's boring because boxing is like chess game. It was like this before Mike and after(reason you find it boring now). Mike was a brawler fighting chess players.

No one has ever fought like Tyson. His style, movement, speed and power was unbelievable! He is the GOAT
One of the greatest boxer of all time 👊 Mike Tyson.
Funniest Videos to me he's the greatest.
OscarG323LA i agreed .
Not in top ten
Not even in top 50 by boxing experts opinion and mine too!!
which boxing expert doesnt have him in their top 50?
I don't think we'll ever see another heavyweight come along and just dominate the division like Tyson did. He was special.
Wilder
absolutely nobody. I think espacially Wilder. With those swings and with the low covering he would have got knocked out of this planet.
Cruiser weights div.😂
Yep!
Tyson trained relentlessly...his work ethic in the gym was crazy..
Mike’s sidestep followed by an uppercut was essentially the “Kiss Of The Dragon”! There was virtually no defense for a blow you didnt see coming! Dude was a force to be reckoned with in the ring! I only wish Cus had more years with Mike to keep him focused...no telling how much further on top Iron Mike could have gone! #PunchOut
Very intelligent fighter indeed. He just found a solution to in fighting style. LOL
No doubt!
It is for the best that he went to jail, got fucked by king and destroyed himself. Look what kind of person he became now for his past mistakes. He had his prime champion story, his downfall, and now he is a better man
Sad, but after Cus death it all went down hill for Mike.
Peekaboo
This type of fighting back in the day is priceless compared to this boring shyt we have now. Such a disappointment 😒
Canelo is turning into Tyson. He's not as good but he's definitely getting better

Mike is still my all time favorite. Can't wait till September. I'll pay extra to see that fight end quick. Mike is back.
What happened in September?
If I was going into combat and my life depended on it, Mike Tyson is who I would want by my side. He has character, strength, compassion, and is fearless. Very underrated as a person.
Mike made everyone look weak by comparison.
No, he only made bums, and average fighters look weak. Holyfield and Lewis pushed him around like a little bitch. Buster Douglas also seemed to have no problem.
Hassan Syed Michael Spinks is a legendary fighter.
Anon Omis don king ruined mike Tyson .. FACT .
He beat and destroyed guys like no other even as a teen fighter ..
there was no one better in 7 yrs of boxing than Mike ..
o bye the way Holyfield wood not fight him at his prime .. Holyfield put 25 pounds of muscle in 6 months and who trained him you guessed it .
Lee Haney juice of all juices ..
FACT .. .
If old man cas never died no one would have beaten him ..
So was Larry Holmes.
OK- bum may be to harsh of a word, but you have to admit that most of these fighters were not very good and any good heavyweight would make them look terrible.
An absolut tank at 21 years of age!
He is not tank.he is PANZER!!
He was a tank at 16 too
"They didn't have brain damage before they met Mike Tyson"
On Spinks' second knock down, you can see his eyes roll into the back of his head. You know he wasn't getting up.
Trying. Training was trying to take over even though the brain was out.
Fighting Tyson in his prime was like fighting a locomotive that could bob and weave.
@@therealwewin what you mean slow? All of them more or less average or above average on speed. Its just Mike speed is insane
@We Win Go learn boxing bud. Tyson was indeed a brawler, but far more so a boxer. Just try what he does, and I don't mean go fight, but rather just gain some basic understanding of his style. You might learn a thing or two. Cus was the master of chess, and you bet your sweet ass Mike learned a thing or two.
@We Win You're an idiot.
You mean Smokin' Joe, right?
in his prime, his biggest challenge was finding a neutral corner.
😉
Dude you made me actually laugh out loud. Literally EVERY time he walks back to his own corner 😂
That's so funny wtf lol
@GoodRiddanceGooglePlus Wow... great story
@GoodRiddanceGooglePlus Holyfield didn't want to fight him. He waited until Tyson got out of jail to actually fight him. You are a delusional hater
What I love about Tyson is that, he was fearless. When you fight opponents much larger than you and knocking them out just as easy as the ones who are your size. The way he moves, and those powerful punches. You got to be able to defend yourself against that kind of opponent, or it's going to end very quickly for you.
Cus ingrained that confidence into Mike. If you see the video's of Cus mentoring and giving Mike advice, he was building that champion in the heart and mind.
@@D33Lux I think Cus saw something in Mike and knew he was the one. That old man was smart!
My favorite Tyson trick punch was those famous dark uppercut! He'd go in for a clinch and out of nowhere POW!

Tony Recluse That's true. Tyson actually had to outbox the man. Which he did. Mike actually could take punches as well.

Yes, thanks for agreeing with me.
And Lennox Lewis
The last fighter, Mathis was skillful and fearless. Drawing close and impressively ducking punches. He is the only fighter i have yet seen getting a positive review from Mike himself. You can tell by the way Mike spoke to him after the fight. But his style was 100% Mike.
Totally agree
I watched Mathis a lot on ESPN back in the day, he actually was nothing like Tyson... He was purely a boxer and had very few KO's. He apparently tried to change up his style versus Tyson... admirable but it didn't work.
The little girl that he's holding at the end, was she the daughter that died tragically on the treadmill ?
@@randomname9758 When the part with the girl is really from the Buster Mathis fight, it can't be his daughter because she was born about 2005 and the fight against Mathis Jr. took place in 1995.
It's like Tyson was facing himself just on a lower level, mathis was short like tyson & made people miss, tysons foot work got him that specific victory.
I am so honored to have witnessed this Man become a King in his division. Tyson and Marvelous Marvin Hagler, will always be my two favorite boxers of all time.

It was over for Tyson when he fired Rooney ,
Rooney was the only one with balls to tell him no
@M R no he was robbed, buster got an extra two seconds when he got knocked by Tyson, had that not happened Buster wouldve been able to come back like he did

Fair play to Buster Mathis, that was some epic close quarter dodging & weaving (for a while) 😀
Right! You can tell my man likened himself after Mike... But....
I think Mike Tyson told Buster that he was the best fighter that he's faced so far
Mathis Sr. died 3 months before the fight. Jr went in there with heart.
I enjoyed watching mathis, it was a very unique fighting style. He wasn't really weaving like mike, he just kept his head down constantly like a turtle. Only uppercuts could get him in that position to bad they did
Tyson realized he only dodge downwards and had the opportunity to land a big blow. Both great fighters! As a heavyweight, Mathis has a good speed. Damn!
Mike is the most exciting fighter to watch in boxing history. nothing can compare to what he's accomplished at such a young age, and why he's my favorite boxer of all time. if Don King wasn't in the picture Mike's career would have had a better outcome.
Right on.
Agreed!
excuses, excuses...
Perhaps. I am a big believer in that if Cus D'Amato hadn't died before Tyson became heavyweight champion of the world and had lived and trained him until Tyson retired, things would have gone so much better for Tyson. Tyson really looked up to him as a father figure and I don't believe he would had as done as bad in the ring and out of the ring later on in his boxing career had he still had him as a trainer and someone who looked out for Mike's best interests. Seemed like too many around Tyson were around him for all the wrong reasons and didn't do so well in keeping him grounded and focused on the techniques that made Tyson so great earlier on in his career when he really kept his head moving. Tyson had a really tough life growing up. It was quite remarkable despite that what he still achieved.
That last fight was epic!! He stood and swung with Tyson and Tyson showed the respect after the fight!
People willing to fight Tyson in his prime had balls of steel .
The great fighter Tyson!

So fast n powerful cut n punches.
I gained alot of respect for Buster Mathis back when they fought...(obviously Tyson had already started his downhill slide at that point)...But Mathis had a great plan...He got close and stayed inside, trying to steer clear of Tyson's devastating left hook...He threw hard shots, and it was pretty clear that he knew that the only way he could beat Iron Mike, was to land one of his wild shots...Didnt happen, but at least he stood toe- to-toe and didnt run...Big props to Tony Tucker (a very underrated Heavyweight in my opinion) for taking Mike the distance when Tyson was at his best...Great vid
Tyson was on a whole other level in boxing. It's awesome to watch his fights
Mike could have been the greatest boxer of all time.
suman rajbahak to me he is
no matter what he will always be known as iron-mike , hardest hitting most dangerous boxer in history , on that note he is the greatest
mattgotsskill I heard Foreman hits the hardest
naaaa , theres a reason you hear tysons name and not foreman's anymore
Mike Tyson- The champion of "could haves". He was very good, but no where near the best. KOing a bunch of nobodies an old great and a light heavyweight does not qualify you as the greatest. Especially when he lost every time he fought great fighters. And yes, Foreman hit harder as did Shavers.
LOL the guy with the red shorts has a jaw of steel
Jed M Tony Tucker?
Its unfortunate to see so many people belittle Tyson's legacy. I think most of them who down talk him and what his did in the ring do it because of their personal disliking of him. I agree Tyson made it easy to dislike him due to his behavior during the post Rooney days. But put all that aside and judge him strictly on his abilities. He was the epitome of the word "Savage". People like to discredit others when they're talking about his prime years, saying he was still young and in prime when he lost to Douglas. Prime isn't defined by someones age. He lacked discipline and needed structure to keep the train on the track. When he was well conditioned and trained, he was hard to beat.
Tyson was a legend. Quick work in the ring. Amazing Mayweather was able to stay 50-0 with so much round exposure in the longer technical fights. Tyson had 15 1st round victories and most of his fights were less than 5 rounds. Iron mike indeed.
Tyson was so accurate, it's insane. He was so dominant, he didn't even train for more than half his fights.
Puro South that's easy to do when you fight bums bartenders and tomato cans but when he got in there with other Elite guys like Holyfield and Lennox Lewis he got his ass whooped
Give the man his respect
I miss me some Iron Mike fights a true boxing legend!!! One of the greatest boxers ever the hardest puncher in the history of boxing... He almost had the W before the fights. Look at the faces of opponents when they enter the ring!!! Much love Iron Mike Tyson💪💪💪
You see his daughter at the end of the video and I’m just thinking: “any man who dates her better plan to be on the up and up from here on out” 😎

Ali change boxing for ever and break the sports rulls and split boxing history too before and after Ali , he was lion far far better than legends like Jack Johnson, dempsy , SRR , Joe luise , Paterson , Marsiano , Fraizer , Foreman , Holms , Tyson , SRL , Duran , Roy jones , Lennex , Holyfield , klichcos , .... and todays bum joks AJ , Fury , wilder , he fight and win very of his big fights after his prim robbing by us gov and with a very sick body that show how lionheart he was ,only 3 time lineal heavyweight champion in history , he fight in golden heavyweight era when many of those days boxers are legends of history of sport and easyly beat fighters of other era and Ali rull that time , he is not just best heavyweight of all times but greatest boxer of all times and sport man of last century no one can even close too him , he win trilla in manila , norton 3 , spings the3 lineal championship and... with parkinson. He was champion even out of ring the man with honor who gave up his title and best years of his career for peace,Ali rull the era with gods of HV history and beat all of them at least once even after his prime , legends whome distroy today joks Fury , AJ , Wilder , Ali fight 25 top 100 fighter of all times and beat 24 of them at least once , Fury fight just 2 top 150 , one 38 old (velademir) two who not know how to box (wilder) his other oponents are not in top1000 an these are facts. Even my faverite Mike Tyson fight with some boms and he lost too Buster Duglas a3 level boxer and Holyfield twice and Lennex . No one in history even close too Ali , he will die in the ring but refuse losing like Foreman fight and trilla in manilla that his wife told docters before the fight seeing signs of parkinson. He was lionheart he is THE GOAT.if there was Mount Olympus and all boxing gods of all weights live there , Ali is god of gods he is The Zeus.
He has admitted though that he knew sonny liston could match his abilities or even above it.
When his trainer died it changed him. At one point, he could of beaten Thor's hammer in round 1.
Bobby Bob facts
Bobby Bob Which trainer?? You mean old man Cus D'Amato? Nah, he died in '85 BEFORE Tyson was even champ. Tyson didn't lose first fight until '90
Bobby Bob; you mean when he fired Kevin Rooney
Tyson was never the same after cus died... Still a legend in our eyes!
Wait, I thought Tyson was Thor's hammer who started a boxing career when Thor became Unworthy....
Iron Mike was unstoppable, epic Fighter, Respect for the Legend!!!
New subscriber, great video 👌 and a obvious GREAT FIGHTER. Appreciate the hard work into making the video. I seriously cringe
at every clean body shot Tyson land's. It is beautiful to watch. I always laugh at Spinks'
face. Dude just knows what's up.
Mike's bob & weave combined with footwork & power were always great to watch.
Mike Tyson was undefeated until he faced Don King.
Lmao you wrong for this comment
Achilles lmao you know nothing about boxing pathetic ignorant fuck
Lol true
You forgot Robin Givens😂😂
@Achilles I understand what you mean, Don King somehow convinced Tyson to fire his trainer Kevin Rooney who was with him since his adoptive father/trainer Cus D'Amato took him in. It was down hill for Tyson boxing career since then.
I fee like he’d just hit dudes so hard that they just have no will to get back up
“Everyone has a game plan, until I punch them in the face”
All Tyson had to do against some of these dudes was walk into the ring and say : " Which one's the referee? Cause I'm going to kill the other motherfucker".
"In the mouth"
The Greatest Boxer ever..!! Respect from year 3019.
Beautiful footage 🦶
Use to have Tyson parties during ever Tyson fight back in high school. Good times, good times
AL Can Best 93 seconds ever.
No shit i remember those days it was an family& friend event!
Mike Tyson was hands down, the greatest boxer that ever lived!!!! ❤️😇😁
You are so right
Rofl not even top 10
@@adventurefishing3190 - How many other boxers have an average match length of 3.5 rounds after 35 victories?
@@allahspreadshate6486 and that means what?
@@adventurefishing3190 - What??? If I told you a 100m sprinter had a career average of under 9.9 seconds you wouldn't ask me what my point was. You do understand what boxing is, don't you? Have you ever had a fight? It's not the aim to drag it out for as long as possible...
Tyson beat me in a decision….. I’ll take that as a win🤣 thanks for the great video.
A very impressive performance of a boxer. I must admit I am one of his fans until now.
Tyson still is a savage. Everyone talks about his losses when they were against people in their prime vs him at retiring lol. Look at Tyson in his prime ain't none of these bums showed up to fuck with him than.
CS over 9ooo was at the right time to dominate. Had he fought in another era then prime or not he would have lost. Not how we are now. Coz todays boxers aint half as good.
Alljon max I agree he actually beat Buster Douglas so I don't even think of that as a loss he was cheated. The rest of his fights other than the Holyfield losses and Lennox Lewis were flukes cuz he was out of shape and didn't even give a s***
Donnie Clifford he lost to douglas. No excuses.
Mark Rawson well obviously it's in the books but if you go back and watch the tape and do the count Buster Douglas was down for 12 seconds but if Mike Tyson had not underestimated him and trying to drive and gave a s*** it wouldn't have mattered he would have knocked his ass down again
Donnie Clifford he gave a shit. Just thought he didnt neat to train and underestimated him.
Bruh... That last Buster Mathis joint was fire.
Shout-out to that dude.
What a ferocious, hungry competitor he was. He beat himself really, its so hard for a young man with no father figure to be the undefeated, undisputed baddest man on the planet at 20 years old. He was awe inspiring in his prime
Yes indeed sir.
For me , he was , he is , and will be the best of the best , we all love you mike !!!!
