I miss ash's instant cinematic 4 so much. Many warframes are great weapons platformers, but his ult was special. It was like a murderous trance with the coolest kill animations. Now it's just so tredious to see those animations again that I just don't bother. Still hope they revert his ult one day though and give him some real changes. Maybe if he gets a proto frame they'll care about him 🙄

Ash actually currently performs an additional hit during Blade Storm that utilizes many mods. Summoner's Wrath, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Base/Melee Damage, Elemental Damage, Finisher Damage, Attack Speed (capped at 50% for finishers) are all mod types I've seen to work. The critical chance and seemingly critical damage of your melee weapon are what is used for this hit. Finisher Damage from Silence and Radial Blind affect it the same as the blue numbers. Have over 100% critical chance on your melee and you'll notice yellow and orange crits on Blade Storm attacks separate from the blue numbers. Blood Rush doesn't work. This phantom hit also doesn't seem to care about what combo you're at so you can get damage upfront. Unfortunately this does not fix the problem with Blade Storm being it's extremely slow kill rate and tedious targeting mechanics. He needs more clones and a more streamlined way to mark enemies.
I feel like if it was a toggle and just immediately started executing as soon as you highlight enemies, it would help with that a lot. Even if they didn’t increase the kill speed.

I honestly think there are so many abilities that are hindered by the augment mods for abilities because they unnecessarily take up the main mod slots. Ive been thinking about this for a very long time, ability augments need their own unique slots for each, meaning we can use augments for each 4 abilities without compromising the main mod slots. In regards to Ash's abilities, his Seeking Shuriken augment should be baked on to his Shuriken by default, it's a useless skill with a sub-par augment at best, but probably make the amount of shuriken he throws out scale with Duration [to synergize with Invis] or Strength. That's on QoL on his 1st Ability done. This then opens up DE to make a new augment for Shuriken; my thought for the longest time is that Ash throws X number of shuriken, this new mod then makes those shuriken explode on impact or punches through, which then spawns another 4 shurikens from a single one that hits which seeks additional enemies around the first target hit. Meaning, if Ash throws out 4 shuriken and all of them connects, those explosions will grant another 16 shuriken that seeks nearby targets, meaning we effectively have a modern AOE armor strip for Ash. They additionally can also make it have guaranteed status depending on his melee or secondary element [by default or with the mods] It also bugs me tf out why Stalker, having the same normal abilities from other frames, have Fatal Teleport BUILT-IN with his 3, while Ash needs to sacrifice a mod slot for this simple ability behavior. DE, we void sling, bullet jump that can do the same thing without expending energy and getting animation locked with more control and precision. Invisibility can probably benefit more from Duration, and I just hope his 4th ability targeting becomes simpler and not a hassle to use, maybe an circle on the ground for faster group selection or a cone so we dont have to brush the entire screen just to use it.
I moved on to dante as my main, bladestorm is just inefficient, slow, clunky. As a weapons platform ash still is strong but a lot of other frames do it way better. Ashs 1 should hit a lot more targets and mark them for his 4 and bladestorm needs a tremendous speed buff to keep up with modern warframe. His 3 was cool once when it killed harder targets in one hit...
I get that these might be his “best builds” but in my opinion bladestorm builds are the least fun with Ash. I much prefer smoke shadow + helminth abilities. I am on my 5th ash prime and all of them are min maxed for certain playstyles/helminths. Some of my favorite Ash builds to play are the mega face tanks with Gloom or Nuetron star(fun fact, Ash has a surprisingly high base EHP meaning you can build him into quite a formidable face tank), the armor strippers with creeping terrify, or fire blast/purifying flame or orphanim eyes, dark verse spam caster,and wrathful advance when you want to go melee only. Obviously your roar, silence, and nourish builds are going to be extremely strong for weapons platforming too.
Surprised you don't use Arcane Crepuscular for one of the 3 platform builds, I imagined it could be very good for that type of builds. Final crit multi and strength while invis is pretty much the dream no?
would love to see an augment for bladestorm (or in base ability) that when a mark enemy die, a new ash clone come into the frenzy. would be cool and also make arcane camisado a good alternative to molt augment because right now, only 2 clone are here so... +12% strength at best We could also go wild and say that for each remaining mark on the enemy when he die, a new clone come to the fray. Would be awesome
Have been an Ash main for years, every single time DE do an update he gets bugged out. Sick of how neglected Ash has become, I love the fatal teleport style and mostly build around that. When i first played him his 4th took my breath away, was incredible. Now it really is nothing like it was. Ash is an assassin, and that is how i play him. Thanks for this video, also enjoy using the Slaytra at times.
I wonder if maybe DE should either remove the old shuriken augment or make it base kit and remake it to then with the augment you instatly spawn attacking shadows on marked targets from your 4, and maybe increase the amount of shurikens from 2 to either 4 or make it moddable to a cap. This would make ash much more mobile and active.
According to the wiki, Ash’s clones count as summons for the new arcane and aura mod. I haven’t had a chance to test to see if they really do affect the clone damage and if so how much.
Any reason why not merge the roar weapons with the silence build? Also, would the silence build be able to get it's stacks back up in case of full death at level cap enemies?
Also, the shards don't make sense to me. Why not run two more red shards for +30 strength and then run equilibrium? Your total would be (+30% strength & +110% replenish) Instead of (+24% strength & + 60% replenish)

honestly bladestorm should be turned into a psuedo exalted imo and it wont make it op since you still have to hover ur crosshair on the enemy to mark them def would use the invis arcane crepe yes i will call it crepe also fun fact the ether daggers have 900% stealth dmg multi rather then the normal 700%
If they’re gonna keep the targeting mechanic for Bladestorm, the reticle needs to be in a cone in front of Ash so he doesn’t have to manually mark every single enemy. He’s strong, he just needs a ton of QoL

Marked for death, it is a helmith ability you get from the helmith that allows you to mark a target, stunning it. Once the marked target is killed, a wave of damage is then released spreading status effects and damage to other enemies around the target.
What about the survivability ? , if i got hit by the heat eximius or the toxin eximius for example how can i survive this cuz I Know even when ash is invisible he can be damaged
The aura mod does not affect Ashe's shadow clones, even though it is said in the wiki that his clones are considered as such, might be a bug cuz Ashe's clones proc Acrane Camisado, arcane that give a % power stenght when a summon attack
It affects a seemingly new phantom attack that Ash's clones do alongside the blue damage numbers. It's capable of using a lot of mods including this aura.
I built a bladestorm ash build last week using the innodem and with lots of base damage and finisher mods, I saw it hitting around 350k on armoured steel path scaldra. I only had 144% strength for the armor strip so I'm pretty certain the weapon damage is still factored as if your weapon itself was performing the finisher
Honestly I finally got to mr14 and had a riven for innodem waiting to try blade storm ash again. But at this level I realize it’s so slow 😂. I can just easily whip out my dual toxycyst and clear the room and any enemy.
@jpmorgan6146 yeah, I had to build my Ash to solo EDA which is why I went so hard on it. Other weapons are definitely ideal compared to blade storm. If the clones immediately began executing once someone was marked and the aim cone was a bit bigger (or scaled with range) those would both be great QOL buffs

II just tested in simulacrum and Slaytra doesn't work on bladestorm :(

Can you tell another ash main why my fatal teleport is just not doing the execute on anything? Very rarely works, and i cant figure out why.

They dont work thats why you see a "sad pet build" tab in my builds lol, tried them, they do nothing sadly

They did, but then they unpatched it, but nerfed it, so now marked for death is capped essentially nerfing it for every frame
