ash also performs insanely well with Silence from banshee and augment mod for said ability it gives 300% damage for finishing move which Ash`s spectors do, it works insanely well
Don't worry about this stuff. I get it because I've been off and on the game for years, but new players can't even do most of this, so you're basically in the wrong place to begin with lol. To make a warframe strong, just play the game and experiment. To make them stronger, look up a build guide. To make them absurd, farm archon hunts, seek arcanes, hunt eidolons, etc. You don't need to do any of that tho, not until you decide to start trying endgame content, which you'll know you've gotten to when you get one tapped by regular grineer or the like

I feel like this was their " sneaky asset early dump " before Kullervo's release. We saw changes and tweaks in some combat interactions before Duviri launched and the actual content drop was significantly smaller than anticipated on Steam. This could be permanent or an example of Spaghetti Code that will be shipped with Kullervo's release to make one of his abilities function with his signature melee.
I was maining ash from the launch of duviri and when I was doing some hour long survivals on Circulus for voruna and bladestorm was just deleting level 200+ steel path enemies on the first hit with my stropha equipped. I assumed it was just the interaction between savage silence but I do remember a few times when I didn't have silence up and it one shot anyways.
Man you're such a beast at builds in this game. Dude. Not nearly enough recognition. I love using your builds. Wish people would be nice and subscribe. Learning that ash back kinda makes me happy. Attack speed clone limit was so dumb.
@@excaligaming2435 his blade storm was, obviously norn was referring to using blade storm, so the comeback is that it is working again at higher levels. I doubt many people level capping with ash have been using blade storm lol
This one was a "bug" and was "fixed" during dagath update. i feel kinda sad that this shouldve been what ash needed as a buff. DE shouldve kept this mannnnnnn
To anyone wondering, yes this was nerfed. Bladestorm no longer uses your melee as a pseudo exalted. Ash is back to the obscure and mostly useless corner once again, thanks DE.
@@DappyPower2610 Just went out of my way to test it just then with all recommended mods on an innodem with the required build. It doesn't work, with or without mods the clone finisher attack damage is the exact same and its terrible.
@@glovely4119 just went to lvl 8k in void cascade with it just fine last night the build works fine it takes less than 3 mins to see that it does work in sim

Thank you very much for your video, I was testing blade storm yesterday, and I was shocked that blade storm clones were one shot kills lvl 190 corrupt heavy gunners, there were no damage numbers, no slash teks, just clone finisher and the gunner dies and his corpse turns black, I had to test it on exo officers to see the slash teks but still a huge chunk of their health bar just dissappears once a clone hit the officer. I didn't understand why or what is that, I thought it was simulacrom bug and went to test it in real SP mission and the same results occurred. I went to sleep still wondering why is that happening with ash blade storm, then your video was launched today, now I know that I wasn't even utilizing ash clones to their maximum potentials. Thank you for your amazing video.
Meanwhile, strenght is no longer a dump stat, in fact, from the testing i did, strenght is very important, specially when using silence with the finisher boost augment. Got 200+ strenght for around 700% finisher damage while silence is active.
Ofc, this build is outdated especially given the slash rework for armored targets, slash now deals damage depending on armor, so it's kinda useless unless you got some armor strip
So that's why there's a lot of Ashes in the Circuit right now, although they dont seem willing to last till at least reaching 1k+ levels in SP circuit even tho they can survive and last that long.

@@rinz5027 you need a statstick for the mechanics presented in the video to work. You can't guarantee a statstick to appear in the circuit and so if you ever see someone picking ash in circuit it's probably not because of the mechanics shown in the video
I highly doubt that's the reason, it's the same issue with Khora, she can't function well if her 1st doesn't have a decent statstick melee to support it. the one advantage Ash has is his invisiblity. so it's probably one reason why he gets picked.
The greatest thing about this is that it allows to keep a similar build to the thousands / million slash procs Bladestorms - which I like a lot - so I am already thinking of a build more of my liking, since I wouldn't like to dump the strength, as it affects Savage Silence's finisher multiplier, and don't think much range and duration are needed, plus Arcane Nullifier and Streamline I'd swap for Molt Augmented / Efficiency and maybe Rising Storm / Smoke Shadow, as the energy economy with this type of build is already very reasonable, and this would allow for comfy gameplay for also primaries and secondaries. Can't believe the amount of people crying over this going to be "nerfed" when it was introduced on Veilbreaker - apparently. Would like to see the level cap one shots you mentioned though, maybe as a clip for the next video or during a stream? Great informative work as per usual Azn :) (Though I know I'm most likely not going to try out the build just enjoy seeing the theorycrafting lul)

Why would you use Spring-Loaded over Primed Reach, by the way? You would need the Madurai polarity to minmax the raw damage build either way, right? Also, if you're not running endurance, would an Incarnon Dread Despair Hate build work fine for general use, with just a half statstick, viable Hate build?

I've tested the Bladestorm animation difference at +50% attack speed (Primed Fury alone) and +110% attack speed (Primed Fury + Quickening + Innodem's Evolution 2 perk). The animation speed difference looks virtually the same (including time-required-to-kill an enemy) between +50% and +110%. The only caveat that does in fact speeds up Bladestorm's killing animation beyond the +50% speed cap is sliding while bladestorm's killing animation is occurring. It halves the time-required-to-kill all the marked enemies.
Bladestorm +savage silence +stat stick is all you need to make him kill everything with a single button. You can also use epitaph to prime them before using bladestorm and you will do more damage! Also I think arcane fury also affects bladestorm, but I’d much rather have energize to keep my energy up.
I am so hyped to try this, and I love that I can have a build that keeps Teleport instead of Shuriken. I suppose Savage Silence for scaling, but I wonder which Helminths I'll play around with. Breach Surge is one I really like with this kinda thing whenever there's no armor in the way, but part of this setup's appeal is that it bypasses armor.
has this been patched or fixed? cuz in my testing finisher dmg mods arent giving anny additional dmg boost to blade storm. enemy health is the same as without these mods
It's interesting how the wiki still states that damaging mods like pressure points do NOT increase the dmg but strength does. + I'm interested if his 4 would trigger melee influence
Since weapon type affects back/front finisher damage multiplier , I'm thinking about two weapons that can be fun to play eventually, and that I will test out when I got time : - Destreza Prime, since rapiers have the highest finisher multiplier (x24, in comparison to x6 of daggers), and that rapiers finishers have a guaranteed slash proc. - Arca Titron, as Hammers have fairly high finisher multiplier (x24), and highest single-hit multiplier (x12), and that Titron's passive is so hard to charge while using a "classical" stance because of all the slams in their auto-combo, maybe the charges are triggered by clones, or at least by Ash when he joins, which would allow for a quick charging of the passive...
I know it´s an older video but how would you recommend to play him after the nerfs to his 4? Still build for his 4 with Silence since it still enhances the dmg or just full weapons platform in stealth (whereas my question why not just play Loki then). Ty :)
@@ashtonwebber843 mostly innodem incarnon perks and Finisher dmg scaling. It used to be enhanced by Finisher dmg mods but now only with ability strength and Banshees Savage Silence. Oh and combo X, and that melee dmg aura mod.
My question is now with melee arcanes which,if any,work? Crescendo would mean you wouldn't need the bladestorm augment but you could also run exposure to remove the need for corrosive mods. 🤔 Edit: Just learned Melee Crescendo does work. You do NOT need combo meter mods anymore as Bladestorm will permanently increase your combo count for the whole mission.
You didn’t need it anyways because the hits from the shadows already increase the combo counter so all you have to do is keep using the ability you build for
Now just add melee crescendo to melee and melee guidance to augment, adjust build acordingly, i'm using nourish, It's pretty fun. I also used the syam with or without tenokai it can work , use build 2 remove spring loaded (use nautilus) remove quickening, and 60/60 mods with status effect bonus and sac steel and heavy melee damage bonus mods like killing blow and primed attackspeed mod to speed up animation, it's quirky but really fun if you wanna cosplay as a ninja use ninjutsu with 4 and swing your blade, enjoy, 1 blue shard, 4 purple
@@penisboss5976 then how did they get 2500 kills and ~65% team DPS in a 90 minute Steel Path Circuit (1000 kills and ~75% team DPS in the first 15-30 minutes) with a Kronen Prime and no built guns, with Mirage, Mesa and Nekros barely getting any kills and only having a total of 1500, 600 and 700 kills respectively? You'd think Nekros' Despoil + Mirage's Explosive Ledgermain and Mesa Peacemakers would've killed the enemies before Ash's Bladestorm manages to kill all of his marked enemies, but me and the other two could barely even build our Molt Augmented stacks until way later on.
@@youraverageguy4930 Because there are bladestorm builds that work without a stat stick, and can deal upwards of 1m true damage per mark. I have one, and it has worked since the helminth update, without ANY bugs.
what i wish they would have made him, like in the old days, you press ult, and the bladestorm just activates within a certain range. I would be even happy if they made it to a 80 degree cone and everything gets just hit with teh bladestorm. because now its allways 3 marks on the enemy which doesnt make any sense to me. either bring back the old times or make it at least a cone right infront of him without us lock on every enemy.
As far as I know this wasn't a thing 5-6 weeks ago. I was trying to perfect an ash build at the time and this wasn't working, but I noticed the uncapped attack speed, so it might have been something incremental.
So I DID notice him doing more damage with Bladestorm the other day! I wasn't going crazy. Well, more crazy. I like to use Aqua Blades on Ash. Just run by and rub up against everyone and watch them all fall over. Throw in some viral and magnetic to speed things up. Good times. :D
Exposure (Corrosive) doesn't seem to, but needs testing. Crescendo (Combo) seems to, but stacking only seems to work on initial hit, but total combo has and does still apply

How would a regular 5 out 5 disposition Karyst with a stat stick riven compare to innodem? The riven is melee damage, finisher damage, toxin, with a negative.
Ceramic dagger or any high stat low damage, but in innodem can be earned through zariman. It’s okay to join a little underleveled. Join a clan and get the ignis or even better the ignis wraith through the dojo. Those should carry you through the zariman.
Im a returning player and trying to catch up to everything new. I dont understand the strength dump? Testing in the simulacrum I can definitely tell a difference when I have strength mods in.. what am I missing?
It has, I don't know why people are acting like this is brand new. I had to do a double take and go check because there has been no updates since the end of may everything is on hold while the new update is being vetted for consoles.
Does this still work or have they reverted the changes? Using your max DPS Innodem build and having tried a few variations of the ASH build I am getting nowhere near this type of damage. I've even tried it with Savage Silence and this plain will not kill a 150 Steel PAth Corrupted Heavy Gunner. Never mind the clone one shotting them
They patched it, but i can still kill reasonably well with 264% strenght and silence in his 1, with the augment for 892% finisher damage. Plus molt augmented. I will also add some archon shard for even more strenght and then it is going to one-shot almost all.
@@JuGMod Where can i find an updated discussion on this? I'm fairly noob and ash has been the most complex frame to understand how to build until now because of how convoluted AND changed things are. I learned how to build him in two different ways only to find it is outdated.
Don't call it a bug or broken please. Ash can finally use this as a saryn style nuke build and be more relevant than that guy hiding on a different tile from the squad to do anything.
Awesome video. These seem more like "mis-shipped, unfinished experimental changes" than random bugs to me. Question about elemental damage: according to the wiki, elemental damage is normally applied at only 50% value on finishers. Does this not apply to the clones, or are you already factoring that in your calculations for best mods in slot? (Apologies if I missed the answer in the video.)
now if they would revert back to old bladestorm so you don't have to mark targets manually. It was a dumb change. Every other warframe nuke is 1 pop laziness why do I gotta spin around 10 times to mark everything with ash.

Try looking into Kengineer, both these guys are insane when it comes to testing and had a lot of community helping them too~

I would agree that Ash was already VERY strong. Stealth + armor strip before even considering the helminth system is good enough to be A-tier MINIMUM.

Strength only buffs the slash proc and the silence buff. Because it buffs silence, it indirectly buffs the clone damage and not the clones themselves.

@@rinz5027 you need a statstick for the mechanics presented in the video to work. You can't guarantee a statstick to appear in the circuit and so if you ever see someone picking ash in circuit it's probably not because of the mechanics shown in the video
I highly doubt that's the reason, it's the same issue with Khora, she can't function well if her 1st doesn't have a decent statstick melee to support it. the one advantage Ash has is his invisiblity. so it's probably one reason why he gets picked.

The greatest thing about this is that it allows to keep a similar build to the thousands / million slash procs Bladestorms - which I like a lot - so I am already thinking of a build more of my liking, since I wouldn't like to dump the strength, as it affects Savage Silence's finisher multiplier, and don't think much range and duration are needed, plus Arcane Nullifier and Streamline I'd swap for Molt Augmented / Efficiency and maybe Rising Storm / Smoke Shadow, as the energy economy with this type of build is already very reasonable, and this would allow for comfy gameplay for also primaries and secondaries.
Can't believe the amount of people crying over this going to be "nerfed" when it was introduced on Veilbreaker - apparently.
Would like to see the level cap one shots you mentioned though, maybe as a clip for the next video or during a stream? Great informative work as per usual Azn :)

Why would you use Spring-Loaded over Primed Reach, by the way? You would need the Madurai polarity to minmax the raw damage build either way, right?
Also, if you're not running endurance, would an Incarnon Dread Despair Hate build work fine for general use, with just a half statstick, viable Hate build?
It's because I have Innodem builds that use both PReach and Spring-Loaded, so I have leftover polarities from older builds

I've tested the Bladestorm animation difference at +50% attack speed (Primed Fury alone) and +110% attack speed (Primed Fury + Quickening + Innodem's Evolution 2 perk).
The animation speed difference looks virtually the same (including time-required-to-kill an enemy) between +50% and +110%.
The only caveat that does in fact speeds up Bladestorm's killing animation beyond the +50% speed cap is sliding while bladestorm's killing animation is occurring. It halves the time-required-to-kill all the marked enemies.

Bladestorm +savage silence +stat stick is all you need to make him kill everything with a single button. You can also use epitaph to prime them before using bladestorm and you will do more damage! Also I think arcane fury also affects bladestorm, but I’d much rather have energize to keep my energy up.

I am so hyped to try this, and I love that I can have a build that keeps Teleport instead of Shuriken. I suppose Savage Silence for scaling, but I wonder which Helminths I'll play around with.
Breach Surge is one I really like with this kinda thing whenever there's no armor in the way, but part of this setup's appeal is that it bypasses armor.
has this been patched or fixed? cuz in my testing finisher dmg mods arent giving anny additional dmg boost to blade storm. enemy health is the same as without these mods

I tested most of the features in the video now, and none of them work. At the time of writing this everything seems to be like the wiki says.
It got fixed during the dagath update, so its not working anymore

It's interesting how the wiki still states that damaging mods like pressure points do NOT increase the dmg but strength does. + I'm interested if his 4 would trigger melee influence
Melee crescendo made this build 1,000,000,000 better and easier to use.
Since weapon type affects back/front finisher damage multiplier , I'm thinking about two weapons that can be fun to play eventually, and that I will test out when I got time :
- Destreza Prime, since rapiers have the highest finisher multiplier (x24, in comparison to x6 of daggers), and that rapiers finishers have a guaranteed slash proc.
- Arca Titron, as Hammers have fairly high finisher multiplier (x24), and highest single-hit multiplier (x12), and that Titron's passive is so hard to charge while using a "classical" stance because of all the slams in their auto-combo, maybe the charges are triggered by clones, or at least by Ash when he joins, which would allow for a quick charging of the passive...
ash 4 has its own finisher multiplier

I know it´s an older video but how would you recommend to play him after the nerfs to his 4? Still build for his 4 with Silence since it still enhances the dmg or just full weapons platform in stealth (whereas my question why not just play Loki then). Ty :)

@@ashtonwebber843 mostly innodem incarnon perks and Finisher dmg scaling. It used to be enhanced by Finisher dmg mods but now only with ability strength and Banshees Savage Silence. Oh and combo X, and that melee dmg aura mod.

I feel like this might've been a WIP change meant for a mini-update/rework that slipped through unintentionally.
So it's what I was doing a year ago with a blade storm and fatal teleport combo but with only bladestorm now.
I’ve been using ash for a long time and I did indeed notice that the melee did affect the dmg
My question is now with melee arcanes which,if any,work? Crescendo would mean you wouldn't need the bladestorm augment but you could also run exposure to remove the need for corrosive mods. 🤔
Edit: Just learned Melee Crescendo does work. You do NOT need combo meter mods anymore as Bladestorm will permanently increase your combo count for the whole mission.
You didn’t need it anyways because the hits from the shadows already increase the combo counter so all you have to do is keep using the ability you build for

Now just add melee crescendo to melee and melee guidance to augment, adjust build acordingly, i'm using nourish, It's pretty fun.
I also used the syam with or without tenokai it can work , use build 2 remove spring loaded (use nautilus) remove quickening, and 60/60 mods with status effect bonus and sac steel and heavy melee damage bonus mods like killing blow and primed attackspeed mod to speed up animation, it's quirky but really fun if you wanna cosplay as a ninja use ninjutsu with 4 and swing your blade, enjoy, 1 blue shard, 4 purple

Huh, so that's why that Ash player was outdamaging a squad consisting of Nekros, Mesa and my Ledgermain Mirage in the circuit the other day.
No, this doesn't count as player damage because it's not from the player, that's just something ash could always do with bladestorm
@@penisboss5976 then how did they get 2500 kills and ~65% team DPS in a 90 minute Steel Path Circuit (1000 kills and ~75% team DPS in the first 15-30 minutes) with a Kronen Prime and no built guns, with Mirage, Mesa and Nekros barely getting any kills and only having a total of 1500, 600 and 700 kills respectively?
You'd think Nekros' Despoil + Mirage's Explosive Ledgermain and Mesa Peacemakers would've killed the enemies before Ash's Bladestorm manages to kill all of his marked enemies, but me and the other two could barely even build our Molt Augmented stacks until way later on.
@@youraverageguy4930 Because there are bladestorm builds that work without a stat stick, and can deal upwards of 1m true damage per mark. I have one, and it has worked since the helminth update, without ANY bugs.
what i wish they would have made him, like in the old days, you press ult, and the bladestorm just activates within a certain range. I would be even happy if they made it to a 80 degree cone and everything gets just hit with teh bladestorm. because now its allways 3 marks on the enemy which doesnt make any sense to me. either bring back the old times or make it at least a cone right infront of him without us lock on every enemy.

As far as I know this wasn't a thing 5-6 weeks ago. I was trying to perfect an ash build at the time and this wasn't working, but I noticed the uncapped attack speed, so it might have been something incremental.
Really wish other Frames got love. I'd love for Rhinos charge to be affected by melee mods as well.

I like to use Aqua Blades on Ash. Just run by and rub up against everyone and watch them all fall over. Throw in some viral and magnetic to speed things up. Good times. :D
Do any of the new melee arcanes work on the clones?
I am thinking of unlocking the arcane slot but not sure if its worth it.
Exposure (Corrosive) doesn't seem to, but needs testing. Crescendo (Combo) seems to, but stacking only seems to work on initial hit, but total combo has and does still apply

How would a regular 5 out 5 disposition Karyst with a stat stick riven compare to innodem? The riven is melee damage, finisher damage, toxin, with a negative.

Ceramic dagger or any high stat low damage, but in innodem can be earned through zariman. It’s okay to join a little underleveled. Join a clan and get the ignis or even better the ignis wraith through the dojo. Those should carry you through the zariman.

Im a returning player and trying to catch up to everything new. I dont understand the strength dump? Testing in the simulacrum I can definitely tell a difference when I have strength mods in.. what am I missing?

It has, I don't know why people are acting like this is brand new. I had to do a double take and go check because there has been no updates since the end of may everything is on hold while the new update is being vetted for consoles.

Does this still work or have they reverted the changes? Using your max DPS Innodem build and having tried a few variations of the ASH build I am getting nowhere near this type of damage. I've even tried it with Savage Silence and this plain will not kill a 150 Steel PAth Corrupted Heavy Gunner. Never mind the clone one shotting them
They patched it, but i can still kill reasonably well with 264% strenght and silence in his 1, with the augment for 892% finisher damage. Plus molt augmented. I will also add some archon shard for even more strenght and then it is going to one-shot almost all.

Awesome video. These seem more like "mis-shipped, unfinished experimental changes" than random bugs to me. Question about elemental damage: according to the wiki, elemental damage is normally applied at only 50% value on finishers. Does this not apply to the clones, or are you already factoring that in your calculations for best mods in slot? (Apologies if I missed the answer in the video.)
IIRC, in the stream where he was testing this i heard clones take 30% of your elemental damage

now if they would revert back to old bladestorm so you don't have to mark targets manually. It was a dumb change. Every other warframe nuke is 1 pop laziness why do I gotta spin around 10 times to mark everything with ash.
