Whens the last time you bought a new bra? Consider this your sign to audit your underwear drawer, I luh ya that's why I'm in your business with this video. Thank you so much. This is a powerful PSA. I pray it reaches the masses. Nothing disappoints me like seeing someone rocking a great outfit sabotaged by a bad foundation.
You described my current situation perfectly! Previously breastfed, now no longer breastfeeding...I'm going to get fitted and a tailor this spring. Thank you!!
Love this!! I would also mention an old school slip. They smooth you out, add a layer of warmth in the winter, and absorb sweat in the summer. The fabric feels good against your skin and can be sexy.
Okay, I know you have it listed somewhere in the discretion, but please send me the link for the barely there bra it's so perfect. I couldn't tell you had one!? 👏 👏
Counterpoint: find the underwear you really love and build your outfits from the underwear and outwards. I've recently discovered that I can get men's boxer shorts for cheaper with better quality than just about any underwear made for ladies, and they fit surprisingly well (disclaimer, I'm an overweight rectangle so I'm not that far away from a chubby man figure by default, if you're a pear or an hourglass YMMW). Furthermore, I can't stand wires in my bras, and up until recently I had a very active physical job where I regularly got two weeks worth of exercise in a day, so my underwear drawer is almost exclusively sports bras for the top half. As they are wearing out I'm gradually replacing them with regular bras now that I'm in academia and spend more time sitting still, but it's going to take a while before all of them have worn out. This does put some limits on what I can wear, but because I'm starting from a point of comfort I don't feel that bad sacrificing those styles that won't work with my underwear. I still have a decent enough range to work with, from the expected butch and tomboy styles to some really nice soft styles with long flowy skirts and button up shirts. (all that said, I 100% support and applaud the call to get measured and wearing the right size! having underwear that is too small is just as miserable as ill-fitting shoes, and we all deserve better than that)
Say it again for the girls in the back! Sidenote. I'd like your opinion on those dresses with the built in shapewear. I feel like they won't work on real curves. Thoughts?
It just seems really uncomfortable because I’d only wear a dress like that to lounge around and I don’t need to lounge shalwar it also seems like such a struggle to put on I’ve seen a couple thicker girls wear it on IG there are visible indentations from what I’ve seen
You said if you gained or lost 20 - 30 pounds you should be fitted again for your current bra size. I’m in a different category and also need to be refitted for new bra size. I gained 10 pounds and ALL the weight is in my boobs. No Joke.
If you have large breasts then you have to go the bra store that employs ladies with tape measures around their necks. These experts are generally over 50 years old and sometimes have their glasses on eyeglass suspenders like librarians wear. These women are true professionals so you must realize that they’ve seen it all. Set aside your shyness and let them do their jobs. The bras cost a lot but face it you cannot go to the clearance rack at T J Maxx if you have a large bust. One more thing, about panties. There’s a reason why granny doesn’t wear thongs. She wants full coverage for maximum comfort.
all the strapless bras ive seen tend to have a lil bit of padding however the Lane Bryant ones aren't too bad you could also go to the layering of a Bandeu trick to help minimize a little
