Thank you, thank you for the video! Mine was doing this same thing. Removing the exhaust screen did the trick! Runs like a charm now!

Great tip on exhaust screen being clogged causing the hesitation and bogging down and not allowing the rpm to reach top speed

My craftsman said it had easy start. I haven’t really noticed any difference

@@EverydayJourney easy start winds something inside to start the motor so you don't have to pull as hard.😀 Just a nice easy slow pull and then when it's wound up it releases and voila!

Have you done a video on how to assemble the trigger assembly on the stihl fs 70 trimmer. I the trigger assembly came apart when I was replacing the spark resistor and replacing the spark plug. I can't figure out how to get it back together. Please help or tell me where I can go to see a video of how that is done. There's a spring in there which I'm probably not putting back properly. Thank you!

I haven’t done one on that. I can do one in a few days but you’ll probably have figured it out by then. If not then check out the video. I’ll try to have it up Tuesday night at the latest

@@EverydayJourneythat's cool as hell how you do that for people. Mad respect bro .
I've been a lawn care tech (mowing, weedeating, bed installation/maintenance etc etc pretty much everything. ) but am a novice at the repair and maintenance of equipment. I decided to learn to help cut maintenance costs when my equipment needs worked on. Your videos are helpful.
I've mostly used echo's and red max weedeaters all of my career but a client recently gifted me an FS 70-R Stihl. It needs a primer bulb, so, I clicked on your video.
Damn man. I'm amazed at how much you actually have to take APART though lol
On my echos (I have 2 SRM 230s the older models and a newer model SRM 250) I can replace the primer bulb without even removing the darn carb. (I remove the 3 screws around the bulb and wiggle it in. Which I realize isn't typically recommended for various reasons but it's worked so far.) They're easier to tune the carb on too. But damn it these Stihl's aren't Beasts. You can tell a hell of a difference running one of them compared to my echos.
      Great video man . Subscribed.

Them screens are actually not needed

The screen on the exhaust just muffles the sound a bit

    • @EverydayJourney

It’s a spark arrestor so it won’t throw sparks out of the muffler and possibly catch something on fire. Some take it out but I just leave it. Just in case

@@EverydayJourney oh yeah thats right The Stihls Have the spark Arrestors on them you right shouldn't be clogging that bad though might want to change your gas to oil mix your mixture has to much oil in it

    • @EverydayJourney

It might also be because I rarely hold it at full throttle. The heat from that would help burn it off
