Im not a romance girlie myself, but i feel seen when you were talking about sapphic romance novels; i feel like as a sapphic reader, my standards for what i want in a sapphic romance novel are rarely met 🤷♀️
I also was so entertained by your rant on the superbloom, that does sound like a nightmare 😂😂😂🦋
LOL your commentary on this is making me laugh (and cheering me up while I’m sick)
As a 14 year resident of another valley in California, I honestly have never heard of someone refer to any valley as "The Valley" because there are so many valleys in California. Since moving out of California, when I tell people I lived in California, nobody has ever referred to a place in California as "The Valley", so the concept of "The Valley" is interesting to say the least.
I’ve struggled with every Casey McQuiston book I read, including RW&RB and tbh, I skipped this one all together because the plot sounded like the antithesis of a good time for me. I’d highly recommend Alison Cochrun’s romances - she also writes queer romances, but I like her emotional build up and characters a lot more.
unfortunately i find that alison cochrun also couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag and their novel kiss her once for me solidify that i should stay very far away from their work as i have yet to have a good experience that i wan trying to recapture. happy that others have been having a good time with their books tho
😂 "sex on the subway with a ghost" and "treading new ground" took me out.
good morning !
Are you speak on the The Tv show The Valley on Bravo? Or this book btw i have not finished the book just added it ro my summer TBR?
My ex and I use Achillean.
Imma be honest, i finished the book 5 minutes ago and i did not enjoy it at all. The storyline was weird, all the travel and food details did nothing for me and there was so little character growth. The supporting characters were so minimal. Someone said that if you take the food and scenery away you would be left with like 20% of the story. I hoped for a RW&RB kinda book but that was not it. Im honestly proud i got myself to finish it cus damn
Anyway, thanks for talking smack about it for/with me hahha i appreciate the vid!
