I love how simple it is to teach a dog to come without involving treats, any aversive tools or force. All you have to do is practice this simple exercise and you will soon get results.
Thank you so much for this! I’ve been looking for something that doesn’t use treats because it gets the dog too excited and dependent on them, but I don’t like using tools like e collars etc. thanks for this!
You're so welcome! My channel is full of videos and ideas of how to train your dog without using treats. Please feel free to explore, subscribe and get involved with the community. Don't forget to ask questions as well. I'd be happy to help.
Saro my family surprised me a week early with my new puppy sweetie. I have been joining your live sessions and reading ur training tips. Guess what first day no accidents in house pee outside in grass waited less than 5 minutes carried sweetie outside right after her nap. I leashed her prior to goin outside and she peed. You are right. I praised her very much no treats like you said. Whole time raining outside. Brought her back in house unless and she ran to her couture doggie bed. Bayou are best trainer. Thank you Saro!!!!!
Thank you so much for your feedback and comment. Sometimes simple things can become the most challenging things for us. Thank you for sharing your experience with everyone and proving how simple dog training can be.
Thank you!🙏🏽Ruby and I will have fun with this for a while. She is doing really well walking and playing outside on a long lead. We avoided the aggressive dogs at the park.
I teach the recall or come command to puppies a bit differently without the use of treats which you can learn here: ua-cam.com/video/KsLxV5UxYWk/v-deo.html
I have a six-month old beagle-labrador named Bayard. He already knows how to sit but I hope it's not too late for him to learn more such as "come" & "stay" commands.
Saro I have a 6 foot leash and a 50 foot one Sadie does come when called "in the house" not when someone is at the door she barks like crazy till she see who it is doesnt come when called out side when distracted
Absolutely love your videos!! I have just one issue....my 2 months old beagle doesn't like wearing a collar. Every time I make her wear the collar she starts scratching it and starts barking and whining so as to remove it. Can you please help me with this?
Thank you so much for your feedback. It could be just a learnt behavior which she has got used to it. First of all, make sure that the collar is not too tight. Second, Try putting a harness on at the same time to redirect the brain and use the harness for sometime and then start using the collar.
Hai saro I just started training two dogs for a friend I was using treats but I've decided it's time to stop how do I transition softly and the dogs listen to me but when the owner comes they stop listening I really want to be a dog trainer so it's very important to me I get this right any advice for me I'll really appreciate.
Start learning how to be a teacher for humans. Work on your communication skills with humans and work on changing the dog owner's mind about the negative effects of treats and food when it comes to training them.
You can start at 10 months and older just by introducing the obstacles and start teaching at 1 year and older. It also depends on the breed and individual dog. This is to prevent physical and internal damages as puppies tend to finish growing up at 12 months old. I will be starting to introduce agility to my puppy soon (7 months old) soon and will make videos about it so make sure to subscribe and click on the bell icon to be notified all to get notifications for my future videos. Here is a video of me showing the very basics of agility. ua-cam.com/video/pYIzl8OivcU/v-deo.html
My dog loves to play fetch (lab + standard poodle mix, 9 months) but whenever I throw the ball she will run after it, move to the side, lay down, and start chewing on it and forget about the game. I use another ball to get her to come over but when she does, she jumps and lunges at the ball until she makes me drop it, scratching my hands with her teeth. How do I get her to come and drop the ball after throwing it? Any advice?
You can use a long leash at first and also focus on improving the main 3 commands before playing this amazing game. More info in this video: ua-cam.com/video/POe3LCP5Zy4/v-deo.html

Yes, definitely. I have actually made a video about it. Watch the following video and let me know if you have nay question. ua-cam.com/video/WrrRkIWdOIw/v-deo.html
Yes, sure. Try to start in the living room so there are less distractions for a week or 10 days before going in the backyard. Backyard is level 2 of training which follows with front yard, street and level five is the dog park.
@@SaroDogTraining Actually my dog is an outside dog so we don't really let him inside the house but the backyard doesn't really have many distractions.
Please help Saro, I’ve messed up bad, my dog only wants treats no praise, just treats, her life is literally revolved around treats, and we don’t want her to get fat, she will not drink, move or do anything we want her to without treats, she just eats all day and will run away if we take her out and won’t come back without treats, she owns us! But in all seriousness help! My dog has learned treats nothing else no praise, and when we praise her she wags a little but then she gets mad and looks for treats. Help!
Your dog has trained you well. First of all watch the following video because I answer a similar question as you have asked: ua-cam.com/video/wtVXHokZaJQ/v-deo.html Then also focus on providing your dog's daily five essential needs which I explain whet they are in the following video: ua-cam.com/video/7PLTj5zNSVw/v-deo.html

What do I do if my puppy ONLY comes to me if she sees I have a treat in my hand if I don’t she simply won’t listen to me she just stares at me and doesn’t do anything
Since your dog has gotten used to treats, you need to undo it. It starts with changing the way you approach the dog training so start with watching these videos. ua-cam.com/video/6h6XK_E4Flk/v-deo.html
It doesn't have to be. If you don't have a deep connection with your dog, you will feel that way. Focus on improving your relationship deeply. Here is a formula which will help you do that: ua-cam.com/video/eQAEhbXvenU/v-deo.html

I absolutely LOVE that you say, "I train dog owners"... after all it's the human that needs the education, right? LOL

You have a beautiful dog
Joanie is one of my client's dogs but you are right, she is beutiful. Thank you.
What if the dog does not want to come do you pull the leash? I have a very defiant puppy?
Tap your legs, make funny sound, be more animated and invite your dog to come to you instead of pulling the leash or forcing it to come to you.
I'm 11 years old. Do you think i could pull it of to train a 5 month old Golden retriever?
My method can be used by kids, adults and anybody who wants to train their dogs.
