Great video, I cannot wait for your instructional video for the Heavy Grail as I anxiously await production to finish, keep up the great work and thank you for giving Topre keyboards a home they dont need but deserve!
Every board that you produce is stunning! Not a huge fan of full sized boards, but I'm definitely ready to swap my 87u into a Norbaforce when the next revision comes around!
@@RyanNorbauer thanks! I ordered a board that should adapt the fc980c to type c. Does the heavy 9 allow for a type c cable to be plugged to the keyboard then or does it require extra machining (since type c and micro usb have a different size/form factor). Thanks!
@@jd5787 I think you might need to file the hole open slightly larger. I’ve heard of other people doing this but of course it’s not my recommended approach. Why not use a cable that has micro on one end and C on the other?
The Heavy9 for 980c is a beautiful blend of form and function. End-game-worthy for sure, maybe one day!
Thank you for the tutorial for both the topre and mechanical versions! very helpful!

Typing this comment on my finished H-9. It's a pleasure to look at and to type on. Thank you, Ryan. :)

Each of your boards is a joy to build, especially with your exacting tolerances. The finalized board is so elegant. This is your best yet!
The packaging looks very pleasant. Great video Ryan.
Just put together my Heavy 9. Thought it was fitting that I use it's christening to say thank you. It sounds amazing.
Thanks Ryan! My case is due to be delivered this week - very excited :)
how likely would it be that there is another production run of these?
Hi, does the heavy 9 for the fc980c converts the keyboard to type c? (comes with the daughterboard/pcb). Thank you
It just uses the breakout PCB that comes with the FC980C/M

@@RyanNorbauer sounds like a smarter workaround than filing an expensive custom board! Thanks
Ha one more question, is there somewhere on the website where it is possible to see the different variations of colors by angle of view?
how the hell i don't know about any of these projects, I lost money to tons of other trash kit, and now I want 1x heavy-6 and 1x heavy-9
Is this coming out of only the right headphone for anyone else?
yes
That breakout installation is a two men job
It’s also somewhat easier if you don’t have to hold the assembly up on its edge so a camera can see.
I would buy this 2 times if I could, 1 to use and one to look at
Will this be restocked?
Yup! 😊 You can subscribe to my email list to be notified. norbauer.com/list
Put the keyboard on the thumbnail. Not your face. No offence bro
Thank you for taking time out of your day to share this cogent and helpful remark bro.
