I like Bulova and own a few, the Lunar Pilot and a couple Cpmputrons. But that's what kills me, they do classic designs that are large and thick. I was super interested in the Sinatra series until I saw one in person. LARGE. Still, that thing is classy and at 39mm I'm on board.
I love the dial on that watch. I am considering buying the cheap Calvin Kline with the eta 2824. And bUILDING A Watch with a vintage dial in the same style of yours. But with aged lume
You got bamboozled, bud. I got this watch for $166. Great little vintage style watch. Tried to get the gold version, but it has been sold out at Macy’s.
I don't find anything "silly" about the display caseback, they aren't for just decorated movements, you know. And a brown strap is fine for it, though I find the simulated alligator pattern rather cheesy. However, for watches of the vintage that this is stylistically recreating, that would absolutely have been an option. Gray leather would look great on it, but, as you say, not the one you tried here, as it is a clash, thematically. I love this gold version, it's just right for the style, but, sadly, I never wear anything to match it. Guess I gotta expand my wardrobe.
I have the blue face stainless version. I have several other watches but this is becoming my favorite
That movement is a Miyota 8000 series. My Tissel has a Miyota 90s5 or 9000 series movement. The difference is 9000 is High Beat and hacks

$166? You've been had, friend.
$112 delivered new in box. See what two years have done. How have you liked the watch?

"I definitely do not have a 20mm strap." What?! 😁
I don't! It surprised me too. I got a bunch of natos but no straps that actually go with that watch haha
it is a beautiful watch, but i just didn´t like how it felt, when you compare it with the orient bambino, the bambino definitly wins :D
Cool find.
