Mike, 1: What is in that big plastic-wrapped pallet feed for the impending food shortage or rock salt? 2: Love your videos, keep them coming. I watch every second of every video. I have a 2004 Discovery Series 2 because that's what a sensible person would buy in Macon, Georgia, USA back then. Love the thing. Its oil is in my veins and my blood went through its engine, gaskets, and onto my driveway. Can't wait to drive it up and visit you. I suppose I'll have to wait until I don't need the jab to get into your country. Lost the house to a fire on USA Thanksgiving 2021. Audi Q5 and Ford F-250 lost to the fire too. Fortunately, the Disco, which we call Nigel, was in the shop waiting on catalytic converters that someone stole.

Mike, around about 18:40 you have what looks like a 300tdi pulley driven by a belt, is that a PAS pump or something rigged up for something or just a pinched pulley for another task?
@@BritannicaRestorations Just you try it on a bit of scrap Mike but use .8 mild steel wire you will be surprised all my welder mates told me you have to use 316, no you don't it welds perfect I used argosheild 5 gas it may not be as strong but god enough for floor plates and patches on my old landy cheers mike keep up the good work making landrovers better, Oh i am looking at l322 td6 next but can't find one without rotten subframes what do you reckon to them mike your advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
What is the rocker panel spray you use and what’s it’s purpose? You mentioned that it will degrease the surface of the patch panels? I have the same job to do on my Series III and have the seam sealer, but not aware of the purpose of the rocker panel coating you used. Thanks Mike! You’re the best!
Matt - - the rocker spray is a HD plastic coat that bonds to metal and makes a rubberised coating that seals against water and abrasion You must degrease before using to make a 100% bond Been on my 130 10 years and no rust on the footwells
The plasma torch has a spring loaded tip, so when you pull the trigger the internals go back a bit to make contact with a switch - this sometimes sticks - hence the tapping
Good , Fast , Cheap Pick any two , but it will never be the third. ie , if its good and cheap , it wont be fast if its fast and good , it wont be cheap. end of lesson.
how much labor is a person looking to spend in a pointless RHD/LHD conversion? I was trying to get a paint or a wrap and dude wanted €2800 each to do it, I can't imagine how much money you've gotta throw at this project to make labor work out.
Economically? Plasticine. Properly is the way to do it, and make it last! A project like that deserves that extra 5% attention to detail, or the other 95% will be wasted effort!
I use beer case boxes for paper templates. The cardboard is a perfect thickness and beer!! Ha ha!! Nice job!
Hi Mike, you are a TOP guy. Great job.

Stocksbridge church car park gate was the best improvised metal bender I've ever used!!!
Really like your stuff Mike, excellent, particularly the comment about the spoiled brat, laughed out loud.

Nice job, with the pillar edge removed you can get a paddle foot slide hammer in to pull the bend out.
WOW you're really good Mike :-)
...I seriously doubt that anything would put a smile on that young ladies' face Mike...lmao!
so sad about this girl - so much to look forward to
Maybe a few Jameson's will make her see different!

Hi Mike try a carpenters pencil as they don't break easily
Hands up who now wants a plasma cutter!
Expensive, excellent tool BUT so fast and accurate!

Ah! if you saw that in the background that is my pump/steering box tester!
Hi, Mike, I did my series 3 footwells in 1.5mm stainless steel problem solved both sides and the battery box.
stainless is not too good to weld to mild steel

CZA4705L quite common
Do you think, now bear with me here, using the plasma as a hammer may explain the tips going all the time?

to do a full paint job here would cost me that for material alone - which is why I do not do bodywork now
