Much better way to go. Didn’t comment last time, but was shocked. It’s hard to sometimes admit that you’re wrong, but this will be much safer. Never seen a wing removed that way. Usually I unbolt from the radiator panel and remove the whole wing as an inner/outer/top and headlamp panel as one…
Well done you have listened and heard. There is now far less chance of the bottom door hinge dropping off.😊 I would have been tempted to use the black repair panel with the top mounting holes, the wrinkles would come out with a bit of local heat and a tap from the small end of a panel hammer.
Have you guys thought about importing Bangin' Headlights from Australia? They do retro styled LED headlights that look like the original Lucas items in both RHD and LHD as well as resto-mod ones with daytime running lights etc. They're also ADR-compliant for Australia, 'DOT-approved' for the USA, and 'E-marked' so fully road legal everywhere else.
I dunno, I would’ve improved on the previous repair by folding a simple right angle piece up and welding it in instead of wire mesh and filler. It would’ve have been much easier and been less work despite having to take it somewhere to get welded. Sometimes taking short cuts take longer than doing something better. I would still plan on replacing the bulkhead because as well all know, the rust we see is usually the tip of the iceberg.
I’m sorry, but spot fixing that rusty bulkhead does not solve the problem long term. Only replacing it with a Galvanized Bulkhead would do that. Or removing the rusty one, repairing it properly and having it galvanized would do the equivalent trick. 😎
You have my respect for admitting you were wrong. Besides, think of the content for doing a repair!
100% agree..!!

I chose not to comment on the previous repair but it's great to see you going this way and having a good sense of humour about it.
👍🏻 do love a YRM panel. Glad you’ve gone for the pukka repair.
🤣😂🤣Thats a much better approach. It was interesting how to remove the top of wing and side. Your repair should be good for some years now.
Chuck Norris Approved! 👍🏻👊🏻
im glad you did the right thing i was horrified after watching the filler video

Good work. By a weird coincidence I had to take the passenger side wing off mine today.
thank god for common sense in getting it done correctly, its a 100% better
