Haha I wish you would stop staying your vlogs are boring. They aren't! I watch them all and feel more updated about you and your gliders thru the vlogs sometimes than thru the main channel. No criticism I love both channels!
Awesome Sugar Glider Mommy so I have a question so I am about to get my gliders and I'm wondering what kind of bedding should I put at the bottom of their cage? What kind of bedding do you put Can you do a cleaning cage tips and tricks video. You make the best video ever!!!!
You can use equestrian bedding pellets, Cozy 'N Fresh small animal bedding... I simply use fleece blankets and wash them with baking soda, just like Hailleyscomment (it is easiest to carry and clean lol). I actually have a video on that! Check out my playlist :-)
I like to feed my gliders a good variety of foods. They get 1 of 3 specific produce blends I've created and pureed (usually 5-10 different types of produce in each blend). That way I know roughly what the ratio of calcium to phosphorus is in each blend. They also get a powdered food that gets mixed with water and a multivitamin. They get both of those at night while I'm at work. Then during the day they get their pellet food. I'm sure it's not the perfect diet but Krampus and Merlin seem very happy and healthy. They also have a large play tent that they get to spend a lot of time in at night before I leave for work.
THANK YOU 💜 we lost one of our boys to an unknown cause on Monday night... I can't tell if Gizmo, my remaining boy is severely depressed or may be sick. Definitely bringing him into the vet! He is still active, eating and drinking but he sometimes just hangs off the bars and stares... he seems to be sneezing a LOT, beyond grooming 😢 I'm hoping it's just a little sadness, and he will get better with the introduction of two new cage mates soon 💜
I am so sorry for your loss. For future references, you can always have the vet do an autopsy and find out why the suggie has died. For now it is good that you took Gizmo to the vet. How is he now? What did the vet say? I hope he gets his friends soon. I remember how depressed my baby Dobster was when he arrived and it still breaks my heart just thinking about it. Gizmo will be so happy when he meets his new friends. Make sure to spend a whole lot of time with him until then, prepare for proper intros and please keep me updated ❤
Hello, ik u said that I shouldn’t ask u for help but I’m in a country where it’s hard to find an exotic veterinarian. my male sugar glider is acting weird today his little front arms arnt working he looks tired and he isn’t like that usually he plays a lot and he isn’t eating or drinking ik I should take to the vet but I wanna know in advance
Great info thank you so much. To everyone out there that are thinking about getting a sugar glider. Please, please don't just get one they need a companion.
my sugar glider won’t eat or drink , barley moving and won’t respond. nothing i can do about. i’m holding her and letting her pass in my hands and letting her feel loved when she has her last breathes.
No, no bathing at all. Bathing your sugar gliders might make them ill. They clean themselves really well. If you have male suggies, having them neutered drastically reduces the smell. A good and recommended staple diet and a good cage hygiene keeps them smelling and looking good. If they are fed a healthy, nutritional diet, their smell will almost disappear. Consider watching the cage hygiene video to learn more about how you can reduce their smell :-)
I’m dealing with this right now with my heart glider😢 He’s already been to 2 different vets, had 2 X-rays and been put on antibiotics. They can’t find anything wrong with him. He looks really skinny to me too, I weighed him this morning and he’s 74g. Thought he was getting better but today he seems weak and he’s breathing fast.
My sugar glider became ill overnight. She started self mutilating and her sister attacked her because she knew she was sick. It seemed like she had a uti because she had been going after that area and I saw some yellow pus/stuff...I called every single vet that I could find...ofcourse it started the day after Thanksgiving and the only 1 exotic vet that was willing to see her was off until the Monday. They told me a few things to try and then bring her in on Monday but she died on Sunday afternoon. It was the hardest thing knowing that I needed to help her but there was no where I could bring her. Her sister started to get depressed very quickly so I had given her to an amazing person who rehabs a ton of gliders and knows everything about them. I drove pretty far away to get her to her because I knew that she was going to need another friend.... she was more crabby than usual but we knew that she was sad from losing her sister. About a week later I got a phone call that she completely stopped eating and had died overnight. Can they really die from stress and depression? We treated these guys like gold and ny daughter took it soo hard. We decided not to get any more if there aren't any vets in the area willing to see them(we had a really good vet but she left the state). Its just not fair. And I keep asking myself could I have done something better 😪
Yes, unfortunately sometimes depression hits sugar gliders really hard. Sadly many people refuse to acknowledge that. I am very sorry that this happened to you!
I'm glad I'm watching this one of my sugar gliders is sneezing and I do have health check ups made the day I got them to be sure if anything is awesome
I just got 4 sugar gliders a month ago...They are on the tsg diet...I put 2 ice cubes in the cage, also slices of apples, slices of spinach leafs, and tsg hard food I think breakfast brunch.....they eat all the apples, very few or none of the breakfast brunch, most of the spinach, and maybe only half of 1 of the ice cubes which worries me because they are not getting all their nutrients....should I only leave the ice cubes and nothing else?? Thanks
Hey well informed videos as always. I really wanted to get a pair of suggies but I have to go to work from 7am to 4pm. Can you please help me answer some questions: 1. How many meals do the suggies need for a day? 2. If you put 2 cups of food in there, would they be able to eat them all, or would they save the meal for later? And some advice from you would be great. Thanks and have a nice day!
They need 1 meal per day, mine get 2 fresh meals and a dried one in the morning for during the day. You just have to put as much as they eat plus a little bit extra so that they have leftovers :-) Before you leave for work you can leave a bowl with some dried snacks for them in case they want to eat something during the day.
😘 just writing back at what u said about asking for ur advice on my suggies sickness I just really was asking did u may know. Or ever heard or this wet tail. I took him to vet 3 times an I didn't know that thing with his genitals was normal w ow I learned a lot today from this video
Hi! Your videos are so helpful! I was just wondering if you have ever had problems with ants? I keep finding them around the room and in the cages. It's really stressful and I'm terrified that they are bothering them. I am going to move the room around (because they seem to be on one side), clean the walls with clorox, and spray vinegar around the edges of my room. I clean my gliders cage everyday and I actually can't find the ant colony in my room. I'm a new sugar glider owner and I'm not doing so well at it (as you can probably tell) but I'm really trying to do what's neccessary. Sorry this got so long, I hope the precautions I'm going to take help but I wanted your opinion. Thank you!
Hi and yes! I have had the same problem this summer! I think it's because of the heat, or at least that's what people have told me. I have found so many ants, especially around the cage since they love to throw food around and I freaked out a little bit :-D Thankfully I have managed to get rid of them by spreading diatomaceous earth (also known as diatomite or kieselgur) on the floor wherever I saw them walk by. I had huge blotches of d.e. all over my carpet, at every window, at every door, every corner of the room, every dark place (along the couch)...and left it there for 2 days, then removed it thoroughly with the vacuum cleaner. The d.e. is not toxic to sugar gliders or humans, it just kills the insects if they walk through it. I still made sure the suggies don't go anywhere near it, but I wasn't concerned that they might eat a poisoned ant. Anyway...it seems to have done the trick. I still find one or two ants a day, but nothing compared to what I kept finding a couple weeks ago.
Normally a male sugar glider will develop a bald spot on his forehead if he is not castrated. If he is bleeding from overgrooming, then you should have him checked by a vet to exclude any other possible issues.
Hi. I need Help. My sugar Glider Really just. Keep shaking like. Always. When I take her out. I know it can be Caused by Sleeping. Shivering.. yadadada. But. This is diffrent. She just keeps Hyperventilating for a while. And keeps shaking. Even when I want to keep her on my hand for a while. Just a few minutes she just screams at me. So I force myself to keep her In the cage. Even she always want to be in her cage. Even when Night. No. Seriously. My sugar glider Never finishes her food. She always scream untill I gave her food. She tries to sleep alot. Please help. My sister gave her Chocolate. Since the breeder said its 'Fine' even the smallest amount can be Deadly. But she just says. 'iT's jUsT a sMaLl aMoUnT' when I tried speaking to her. She just said. Don't act smart. She also wants to Sit in her Pouch all the time. She dosen't even drink water. We only give her Food and put water in it. The cage is small. My sister said its fine. Since the breeder said its ok. We tried to play on her in the evening. She just.. after a few minutes. Just scream at me. She always pee and poop on me. My sister even said not to clean the pouch. Water. And Cage. My sister always says. Its fine. And since shes so strict. Im always scared. She also zones out. Like always. So. Uh. Can you please tell me this Abnormal Behavior? Shes a female Sugar glider. And we Recently got her. She's 2 months old. I can't find the answer's anywhere in google. She also usally just cleans her hands. She's also usally Alone. She never scratches tho. Can you tell me? The answer. Ive been searching. Everywhere for the Answer. We also don't change her Diet.
Hi, it sounds like there are still many things that you can improve in her life. First and foremost, you should get her a cagemate soon. She also sounds like she is very, very young and it might still be hard for her to regulate her own temperature. She needs a proper cage, a proper diet and absolutely no dangerous snacks. Chocolate is really bad and I would strongly recommend you take the little one to the vet for a check-up, because she does not sound ok. Please watch my other videos, they pretty much answer in detail almost all of your questions and help you understand how you can improve their lives. They need fresh water daily, they should have a clean cage of course. And they need a healthy diet (I have more videos on this topic), a big cage, another sugar glider, enough toys and a good vet for emergencies. It sounds like your breeder made it seem like Sugar Gliders are super easy pets, but they are not as easy as some think. You should join a few Sugar Glider groups on Facebook and find a mentor. Please watch the videos and make notes as well. I hope the little one feels better soon, but it sounds like she should be seen by a vet as soon as possible so please do that! Take care.
@@AwesomeSugarGliderMommy alright though.. My mom and dad Will Definetly not Allow another sugar glider. My sister would not Believe me. All she belives is the breeder. She always says that the glider isn't sick. Ive been feeding her soup(baby sweet soup) She's also been Peeing on me and My big sister. My mom will not allow toys or another Cagemate. My sister dosen't believe me. At this point. Whatever you're saying is probably true. Just Is something You can't do.
Hi andra I do have question about the behavior of my suggies, I have 4 of them for about 5 years(and counting) 1. I don't understand why they are aggravated over flowers(like jumping and do everything they can to get their hands on that flower) And my suggies eat those flower petals once they get their hand on the petals. Is that something okay to eat or not? 2. My sugar glider used to be bonding to me(come when their name being called, sleep in my pocket) But when they got cagemate, I am forgotten 😢. And now every dawn they do choruses of barking and get angry(as in barking turns into crabbing) when I want to touch them Do you have advice on how I can get them to be bonded with me again? I do play with them but they prefer to chase each other rather than playing with me I just found your video and I love to talk about my gliders, they have bunch of personalities inside their tiny body😄
Rania Kurnia Hey! Sure, they love destroying and snacking on fresh flowers! As long as they are safe to consume (for suggies) and they have not been treated you can always make their dinnertime interesting and add some to their bowls! Secondly I believe that your gliders will most certainly bond to you really well as long as you spend enough time bonding with them during daytime. You should always make a "greeting noise", like a kissing noise or even a word (in my case it is always "hey, baby") and always use the same tone so that they know it is you approaching them. Greet with a treet and with the same noise and soon they will learn that when they hear that noise it is you and you are probably offering treats so they will come to you on their own. I have 4 suggies at the moment and can only say that bonding depends mostly on their personality and on how much time you spend with them in general. I like to take mine out during the day and either just carry them around in my bra or also play with them for 30+ minutes each day. I don't take them out for playtime every single day, but 9 days out of ten I will. But I still try to bond with them daily even if it is just keeping them close to me while they sleep and I do my chores around the house. Some of my suggies are very friendly and it gets even better every day, 2 of my girls are still shy even though I have had them for over 2 years. Still...they are much more friendly than they were when I got them. Just keep bonding with them regularly and in time it will get better, you will see 😊 Whenever you bond with them always encourage and reward good behaviour but never react negatively or punish bad behaviour. And make sure to not offer too many treats in the evening so you don't ruin their appetite for the staple 😊 All the best to you!
My suggie started limping and was very cold and at time would like convols by reaching out to grab at the air. He only lasted for a few hours lie that and he died in my hands. I don't know why this happens but yeah it's a scary thing to see a suggie sick and we'll die it hurt a lot
My glider is balding on the leg and has light brownish spots on it, I’m not sure what it is and I’m really worried. She is eating well though. If you know what it is please let me know thank you
Hi Natalie, I am not a vet so I cannot know what is going on. It does sound like he might have pain in that area so I suggest you bring her to the vet as soon as possible. Wishing you all the best.
Thanks for the video , my male suger glider just passed away and now the female is left with few weeks old baby .. I tried to play with her but she seems very sad and i dont know how to cheer her up ....what is the best thing to do ? buy a new one or wait few months until the baby is old er as i am afraid the new glider might harm the baby
I am very sorry for your loss! You should definitely wait until the baby is a little bit older and less helpless so the new one doesn't attack the baby.
Iam very sorry about ur suggies I haven't been on here for a while due to me being very ill but one of my suggies just died 3 days ago he was very young. My female got pregnant an had to babys an one was. Erg very small. I also noticed he didn't really know how to eat he was licking is food instead of chewing I did try to feed soft foods but then his tail was getting wet an then his genutals were ha I g out I took to vet but vet didn't really know what was wrong. Right before he died he had a lot of poop that was dryer on his butt I gave him a bath but died the next day iam sick so sick over this. I have 6 suggies an everyone is got great weight I just have no Israel what happen to him. He had got so so thin so fast I had no idea wen u said Cohen I was feeding corn a lot I had no idea Please if u have any. Ideas what happen can u let me know an also I feed watermellon everyday. These are things I was told was okay
Please don't use sawdust. You can use equestrian bedding pellets, Cozy 'N Fresh small animal bedding... I simply use fleece blankets and wash them with baking soda :-)
Not sure if you mention this in the video, but my colony of four has been sneezing on and off for a while. Not sure if it’s allergies or if I should be more concerned? I also have a male sugar glider that some what hisses when he is peeing… Should I separate him from the colony until I figure out what is wrong?
Sneezing often happens when they clean themselves. Have you tried keeping track of when and how often it happens? Regarding the male that hisses when he pees, that is something a vet should check to ensure that his bladder is ok. No need to separate while you & your vet figure it out.
What kind of toys do you recommend? And if i were to get another sugar as a companion for my pebbles how soon can i intruduce them or place them in the same cage
My sugar glider has been weird the last week when he wakes up from his sleep at around 10-11 pm he acts very slow and doesn’t move a lot almost lethargic but like 20 mins later he plays like a mad man it’s worrying me because he just started doing that? Did I do something wrong?
@@F3atherKat You should aim to get her a sugar glider friend as soon as possible. No matter how much time we spend with them, we cannot replace the comfort of another sugar glider 😊
hi I want ask you something I will go to my country in 2 months and I'm thinking of taking my sugar gliders with me but the weather in my country is hot however I will not take them out from my home and my Home temperature is moderate😊
The temperature should be between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Personally I would not recommend it get over 83°F and at 85 and more it gets risky. Over the last few days I have unfortunately read a couple stories from owners losing their gliders due to heat. Unfortunately, only a few days ago, a veteran owner has lost 8 sugar gliders in one day due to heat. It was somewhere around 110°F. So always be careful with heat and cold.
My baby sugar glider is around 1 month old, and when i take him out from his cage, he will roll on my hand and sleep the whole day. Is it normal? I prepared tissues , food and water, just in case he wakes up and wants to poop/ eat or drink. So yea. I just found out that his left cheek is a bit swollen... I need to bring it to the vet asap... Hope he is alright... Thank you for your video, it helps ❤
Hi! If your suggie is only one month old then he should be with his parents most of the time. Do you also have his parents? If so, then you should let him spend most of the time with them and only take him out for short periods of time once or twice a day until he gets older. In case there is a misunderstanding and your suggie is older (sugar gliders should leave their parents at 8 weeks the youngest, but better after 10-12 weeks) then keep in mind that they almost always sleep during the day as they are nocturnal. A swelling is never a good thing and should most certainly be checked out by a vet. I'm happy you are being responsible and taking him to a specialist. Please keep me updated, I would love to know how he recovers.
My baby suggie doesn't play and she sleeps alot I scared for her she has her sister with her but I don't know why she is not playing and she sleeps so much
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but my 4 year old male sugar glider seems off for me. My mom says he won't drink. He also does circles on the ceiling even though he has toys and a cage mate. Idk what's wrong and would like to know what to do.
Yes, but if there are no reasons for him to be stressed out and he is still behaving like this, then it might be something related to his health. That is why you should take him in for a check-up, just so you can be sure that he is ok.
hey is it possible to contact u to speak cause theres a new activity between my s.g that I haven't seen since I got them 3 weeks ago.....I would def appreciate it if u can help me
Firstly you have to please get her a friend a.s.a.p. and secondly you need to let her adjust to the new surroundings. A bond between sugar glider and owner is build over time, it definitely does not come instantly. If you are concerned these issues might be in some way related to her health, please have her checked by a vet a.s.a.p. It's good to take a new suggie to the vet for a wellness check, that way the vet can make sure they are in good condition and also record info about them while they are healthy (like weight).
@@AwesomeSugarGliderMommy thank you! She does have a friend with her he is much more trusting with me. He was suprisingly comfortable with me right when i got him, im planning a vet visit soon i am just worried😞
@@trinityxo6825 I understand. I'm sure that a clean bill of health will help you feel better about it. Afterwards you just need to work on bonding. Some gliders are easier to bond with than others, that is nothing out of the ordinary. Be patient and kind and you will soon see results 🙂
I have a question for anyone, I have two sugar gliders and it has been relatively cold. We put in a heat lamp and they usually stay in their pouch a lot. I thought it was because the heat but I’m not sure. Also one of my sugar gliders is very jumpy/ shaky when out of her pouch as far as I’ve seen. She also bites a lot. Is this a bad sign? I have had them for almost a year if that helps.
Kiara, can you please send me a private message on Facebook or Insta (links in description box). That does not sound good, it sounds lile they need to go to a vet asap.
I’m waiting to get mine neutered. They’re both males but the one keeps injuring the other. I’ve separated them many times but it hasn’t helped. Do you have any tips? I can’t keep them separated until they get neutered because the one is getting depressed
Awesome Sugar Glider Mommy I’ve actually never heard of intro pouches so thank you!! I separate them by putting 1 in each cage (I have 2) and putting the cages side by side without touching. The older male still tries to attack my younger one. I’ve even tried having play time with them together but all the older one tries to do is bite the younger one and hurts him. But I can tell they are starting to get depressed and it breaks my heart. I’ve been spending a lot of time with them both but they need eachother 😞
I purchase most of my suggie related items from sugarglidershop.co.uk and if you are looking for good quality cage sets I have heard so many great things about www.deathpupgliderstuff.com/ :-)
can you please contact me and share with me what you use with your ssg staple diet please? I would really appreciate it. I have 7 gliders. I've had gliders for 3 years and have had them on a couple different staples. thank you. I'll explain more later in private if possible.
I have a whole video about the SGS 2 diet and you can see everything I add to that diet in the video. Feel free to message me if there are any more questions.
Hi andra. All your vids sure been much help for me. I have my own colony as well, 3 adult sugar gliders (1 male 2 female) and 3 joeys. I have a question : One of my female been acting weird lately. She often stayed at one spot doing nothing with empty stare completely froze. I tried to pet her but she didn't respond so much, just stayed still. Sometimes took her for hours like this. I see nothing different about her appetite but she seems less active than before. Is it a normal occurrence for SG to behave like this?
No, it's not something that should happen. She might feel ill, but you can't really see that from the outside and sadly they can't speak. Your best bet is to take her to a check-up, let a vet have a look at her and tell you what the reason is because it probably is something that can be easily treated by a vet. I know sometimes their behaviour changes minimally and we couldn't imagine an illness being the reason for it, but actually that is exactly how I realized Dobby was ill: He was just unusually quiet and laid back and the vet just confirmed he was ill, unfortunately. I hope she feels better soon, please keep me updated!
@@AwesomeSugarGliderMommy Thx for replying, Andra. And yes i took her to a vet today and the vet said she might had a digestion problem 🙁 sounds like minor problem since she told me not to worry about it. We came to conclusion that the problem might be those marshmallow and dried fish i gave them as a treat recently. Although she seems to like it very2 much (and the others too). Honestly i hardly believe this is what actually happened seeing the others had no problem as she does but maybe it just doesn't fit her digestion system i don't know 😅 Anyway i feel so damn sorry bout her and will give her extra attention from now on. And stick to fruits and mealworms for treat hahaha.
pure and simple I- what possessed you to make you think proceed sugar and f i s h was a good thing to feed a sugar glider?? W-what??? I'm not trying to be insulting here, I just really want to know why that idea turned into something you decided to do?
I adopted a 1 year old rescue glider last week. She has been very ill for the entire time. This evening I noticed she woke wake up. I am almost sure she won't make it through the night...the vet cleared her the 2nd day I had her, and they won't be open until 10am. Any tips would be so appreciated. Thank you
If you already know that she is so ill, then the only advice I can give you is keep her warm and take her to an emergency vet right now. A vet is her only option at this point. Good luck!
Omg I’m sorry to hear about your little guy. I just stumbled upon your videos since I just got two of these precious little guys myself.
Thank you :-)
The video title scared me, I thought "OMG does Andra have another sick glider already??" * whew *
Let's hope that will not happen ever again...or at least not in the next couple years :-)
That helped refresh somethings I new but I learned some new things 😉
Can't wait tell your next video!

Very helpful, knowledgeable, and responsible video! Well done 😊
Thank you! ❤
Thanks so much for the information
could you give advice how to reduce sugie smell?
should we really need to bath 'em?
ty in advance
No, no bathing at all. Bathing your sugar gliders might make them ill. They clean themselves really well. If you have male suggies, having them neutered drastically reduces the smell. A good and recommended staple diet and a good cage hygiene keeps them smelling and looking good. If they are fed a healthy, nutritional diet, their smell will almost disappear. Consider watching the cage hygiene video to learn more about how you can reduce their smell :-)

I believe you can also use red light bulbs in glider rooms so you don't have to be in the dark. The red lights won't effect Gliders.
Honestly? I know. I've just been too lazy to buy some :-D

Thanks
Hi, Jeffrey. What is the TSG diet? I have never heard of it. It depends on the diet you feed if you have to add anything else or not.
Hey well informed videos as always. I really wanted to get a pair of suggies but I have to go to work from 7am to 4pm. Can you please help me answer some questions:
Great video and I also get annoyed when people call sugar gliders rodents instead of marsupials
Is there a meaning where my sugar glider has a diamond bald spot at his head and he itches it alot of the time and it bleeds like abit
Hi andra
I do have question about the behavior of my suggies, I have 4 of them for about 5 years(and counting)
1. I don't understand why they are aggravated over flowers(like jumping and do everything they can to get their hands on that flower)
And my suggies eat those flower petals once they get their hand on the petals. Is that something okay to eat or not?
2. My sugar glider used to be bonding to me(come when their name being called, sleep in my pocket)
But when they got cagemate, I am forgotten 😢. And now every dawn they do choruses of barking and get angry(as in barking turns into crabbing) when I want to touch them
Do you have advice on how I can get them to be bonded with me again? I do play with them but they prefer to chase each other rather than playing with me
I just found your video and I love to talk about my gliders, they have bunch of personalities inside their tiny body😄
Just keep bonding with them regularly and in time it will get better, you will see 😊
Whenever you bond with them always encourage and reward good behaviour but never react negatively or punish bad behaviour.
And make sure to not offer too many treats in the evening so you don't ruin their appetite for the staple 😊
All the best to you!
what is the name of the big cage you own? :)
Name and link are in the description box! :-)
What do you keep at the bottom of your cage as bedding can you use sawdust ?
Hi! I have a few videos on toys, if you would like to check those out.
I also have a video on intros! 😃
What kind of liner/bedding do you use? What kind of paper is that?
I use fleece for the bottom of the cage :-)
My sugergland die for it to she was only 4year
What if you sugar glider sneezes and have a wet nose? And what do i need to do if it is not good?
If you are concerned your sugar glider is ill, please take them to the vet! :-)
My sugar glider has been weird the last week when he wakes up from his sleep at around 10-11 pm he acts very slow and doesn’t move a lot almost lethargic but like 20 mins later he plays like a mad man it’s worrying me because he just started doing that? Did I do something wrong?
Did you ever find out
I only have one sugar glider but I play with her alot is to okay?
@@F3atherKat You should aim to get her a sugar glider friend as soon as possible. No matter how much time we spend with them, we cannot replace the comfort of another sugar glider 😊
hi ❤
where did you get your sugar gliders? Or do you know any good breeders? We have been looking around but can't seem to find the right one.
Join Gliderslist on facebook for good breeders :-) I live in Europe so I can't help you with names.
Awesome Sugar Glider Mommy thank you so much!
hi I want ask you something
I will go to my country in 2 months and I'm thinking of taking my sugar gliders with me but the weather in my country is hot however I will not take them out from my home and my Home temperature is moderate😊
So always be careful with heat and cold.
will sugar gliders drink from bottles? im new and i just switched from a bowl to a bottle bc he keeps on pooping in it
Yes, they will! :-)
My baby suggie doesn't play and she sleeps alot I scared for her she has her sister with her but I don't know why she is not playing and she sleeps so much
If you are concerned about her health you should really take her to the vet for a check-up!
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but my 4 year old male sugar glider seems off for me. My mom says he won't drink. He also does circles on the ceiling even though he has toys and a cage mate. Idk what's wrong and would like to know what to do.
You should take him to a vet as soon as possible if you are worried about his behaviour.
Awesome Sugar Glider Mommy well we adopted him from a home that had lots of pets. Idk if that effected his behavior.
Yes, but if there are no reasons for him to be stressed out and he is still behaving like this, then it might be something related to his health. That is why you should take him in for a check-up, just so you can be sure that he is ok.
Awesome Sugar Glider Mommy we will if we find a vet that can take sugar gliders.
Btw is that thumbnail Dobby? I'm sad now :(
hey is it possible to contact u to speak cause theres a new activity between my s.g that I haven't seen since I got them 3 weeks ago.....I would def appreciate it if u can help me
Feel free to send me a message on my facebook page or on instagram :-)
awesome I will msg u on Instagram since I don't have f.b
I just got a new glider but shes not eating or drinking and she is very frightened of me and im worried, do you have any tips?
I love your videos 😍😍
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy them! :-)
I Also Have This Same Problem. What Do I Need To Do?
@@shylowdooley9850 Increase the heat in the whole room, not just the cage. If concerned about their health, always consult with a vet 😊
Why does one of my suggie stay in the corner and barks and the other one stays in the other corner without moving.
Sometimes when they hear an unfamiliar noise they start to bark :-) Or they want attention.
My sugar glider sleeps in Day time and evening but at night time after 12 am it is very active.. Is this normal ?
Yes, very normal. Sugar gliders are nocturnal so they usually wake up when it gets completely dark :-)
Where did u buy your cage ?
You can find the link to the stores in the description box, under the video!
Question.... will you be getting another glider... or not?
I have already added another girl to the colony, we are still going through intros :-)
I’m waiting to get mine neutered. They’re both males but the one keeps injuring the other. I’ve separated them many times but it hasn’t helped. Do you have any tips? I can’t keep them separated until they get neutered because the one is getting depressed
How do you keep them separated? You can try purchasing an intro pouch and see if that helps them become more friendly to each other.
What website do you like/prefer to shop from for toys and cage bedding & materials?
I purchase most of my suggie related items from sugarglidershop.co.uk and if you are looking for good quality cage sets I have heard so many great things about www.deathpupgliderstuff.com/ :-)
Are strawberry’s good for my sugar glider
Yes, they are! 😊

can you please contact me and share with me what you use with your ssg staple diet please? I would really appreciate it. I have 7 gliders. I've had gliders for 3 years and have had them on a couple different staples. thank you. I'll explain more later in private if possible.
I have a whole video about the SGS 2 diet and you can see everything I add to that diet in the video. Feel free to message me if there are any more questions.
Hi andra. All your vids sure been much help for me. I have my own colony as well, 3 adult sugar gliders (1 male 2 female) and 3 joeys.
I have a question :
One of my female been acting weird lately.
@@AwesomeSugarGliderMommy
Thx for replying, Andra. Honestly i hardly believe this is what actually happened seeing the others had no problem as she does but maybe it just doesn't fit her digestion system i don't know 😅
Anyway i feel so damn sorry bout her and will give her extra attention from now on.
Good luck!
