Salam alaykum It’s with a very heavy heart to inform you with this news that our Elder Muhammad Rufai sadly passed away this morning on 6th August 2021. A week after the death of Mzele Mardadi’s wife. May Allah grant them the highest of Jannah and put them amongst the pious, May Allah give their family patience and strength in this time. Ameen 🙏
Asalamu Aleykum, I am half Barawa(dad) half Somali, and live overseas. I am so interetsed in knowing our heritage and would like a pdf copy of that. Also, I would like to connect with our intellectuals and was thinking if the Chimini can be written. Please feel free to reach me at my email and hopefully, we connect.
Salam, this video is very important for all the young barawas growing up Jazakallah for creating and uploading. The names of places and people being mentioned are very familiar and dear to our hearts, I grew up listening all about it from My grandfather (May Allah grant him the highest position in jannah) he used to tell us all about barawa from his childhood, the leather company to the shangamaas tribes, barawa has a beautiful and deep history & we shouldn't let that die with the older generation. 💖💖
Mashaallah excellent initiative, it will help our young people to know the history of their beloved Barawa. Mabrouk to our respectful and down to earth elder Mardadi Haji Khulatein.

mashallah, thank you for this knowledge about the barawa people, amazing people wallah and may allah grant jannah to our 🙏, just wanna ask do they consider themselves as "just somali" like the other somalis do or as Arab-somalis ?
My brothers why do you edit the part where the elders speak Somali. The Bravanese have a heritage of both Chimini and Af Soomaali. While its good to support the Chimini language, its hypocritical on your part to deny the Somali heritage of the elders and the community. Both are important and should be celebrated.
@@thebanadirfactor306 Brother, there are various edits such as 8.35 and others where there is a transition when the elders start speaking Somali . Let's celebrate both heritages .
How come these people lived in Somalia and they can't speak Somali if we India we learn to speak Indian but they speak ing swahili they are not in Kenya don't give Somali passport those who don't learn the somali language
Bro wtf is ur point? Barawanis can speak Somali they just have another dialect and second India doesn't have one language called "Indian" they got hella languages and wym by dont give somali passport u got no idea how shit works so pls don't project ur cuqdad on us 🙏🏾
somalis themselves speak many diffrent dialect and all sound like different languages. you don't say this to garres who speak af garre which is more common to af oromo than it is to somali, be kind to your brothers their language is something they don't have to speak somali because that's not their ancestorial language. if you knew chimini also has somali words, you wouldn't make comments like this. all of us only have each other our country is ruined stop this bs

Maasha Allah nice program keep going brother, JEYLAN NOOR AAWO IS my grandfather 👴
Af somaali inuu kuhadlo maxaa udiidey. Haddii uu af soomaali ku hadli lahaa waa la sharfi lahaa waa la qiimeyn lahaa laakiin hadda da,diisa iyo taariikhdiisa waxba lagama faa, iidin wuxuu noqday shakhsi reerkisa ama qabiilkisa ku kooban. Reer baraawe cuqdada iska dhaafa oo taariikhdiina ha duuginina oo haqarinina. Haddii aad is qarisaan oo bulshada iska soocdaan waa tirtirmeysaan dhulkiinana umad kale ayaa qaadaneysa.
