on the pigs having more features, they should introduce a creeper mimic who is disguised as a pig. you know from the development lore of creepers coming from pigs lol. and they should have a very rare chance of spawning so it doesnt get annoying
Something I would like to see changed for the texture of the leaf litter is how "blocky" it looks. Instead of only filling each subsequent quadrant of the block, the different stages of the texture could also place even just a few pixels of leaves on the rest of the block's surface so that the transition between quadrants isn't so jarring. I also like the suggested name of "Fallen leaves", since it sounds a little more autumnal, which would also encourage a little bit more color in the texture, a little green, yellow or red, would maybe hurt the utility for gradients, but a few pixels can liven it up a lot and maybe you wouldn't even notice from afar. Great podcast! Keep it up! :)
On the topic of temperate variants of Mobs.. Perhaps goats would be another good option. White mountain goats are cool, but maybe having different coloured goats in other hilly biomes, like black or brown goats with less floofiness. Since functionality was a consideration, maybe there could be new horn sounds from different coloured goats. 42:51
Yeah, Leaf Litter is a dialect thing. Leaf litter is a common term, but I've mainly heard it applied moreso to the thick "carpet" of dead leaves found in forests than the sparse cover shown in the snapshot. No objections to changing the name to something else though!
On the topic of movement speed, I’m not playing Minecraft to be in a walking simulator. I want to build and explore. I also only have so much time play. Doing something that gives a noticeable difference in speed helps me think I can get more into a session.
Personally I’m not a fan of removing XP from killing zombified piglins by a non-player source (e.g. iron golem); I considered this a feature rather than a bug and often use it at my gold farm to repair my equipment while I’m AFK. At least I can fall back to my spider XP farm; I can’t _completely_ AFK from that, but at least the spiders will wait until I come back to kill them.

I am not sure if you guys didnt know but the video is also available on spotify! :)
Having leaf litter generate under every leaf sounds like it would get hard to look at fast.

Very nice.
Idk if it’s just me but it seems like the warm pig actually has little tusks in the texture!
Totally with ya Joel on "litter" feeling a bit wrong
Leaf litter is standard english for for what fallen leaves are.
Where? I have never heard it until now lol
@@TheWanderingTrader_ in british english at the very least it's the only thing i've ever known them as
@ In the US, at least in Natural History or Botany or similar contexts, leaf litter is what is on the forest floor.
If you're both just walking you can keep up....where's the fun in that!? 😅
The most annoying movement change for me was the removal of sprint sneaking. It allowed me to move quickly through ancient cities or anywhere at all.

It’s always bothered me that pigs don’t drop leather and llamas don’t drop wool. Such a ripoff lol
