Great idea, starting over to make proper use of the things that have been added. Having to move blocks and blocks of stuff just to add a hotel/restaurant/iron tower gets understandably frustrating. So I, for one, look forward to seeing you start again and add the new stuff when appropriate.
Go out side, take a few breaths of fresh air, take a few moments to enjoy Mother Nature and then get your lazy ass back inside and make a beautiful city. Lol lol lol

I watch BECAUSE you are not a record building. Record building is boring and does not appreciate the beauty of the graphics.
I prefer your beauty building. Ive always played somewhere in between beauty building and efficiency. I care more about beauty.
I also restart like every time once I get to 5000 investors. There is just nothing to do anymore other than just getting more and more people to feed and produce more stuff. I don't like the artic and enbesa regions at all, they feel so isolated from the rest of the game.
Modular warehouse must be the worst dlc yet for me, I literally don't know why I should ever use it.
Endgame consists of rerolling items at vendors over and over again.
I also suffer from restart-itis! - I don't think I've 'completed' a single game...not sure what complete means mind you... Please just build...it is what I like to watch and what I do. Bugger! no mods... :-(. Use them islands! *hugs*

Hi i love the idea..that you are doing over. I was thinking of copying everything to get a beautiful city like yours. But i guess thats cheating hahaha. Anyways looking forward to it. I actually focused on efficiency and when i saw your city i felt so bad as if its the worst city ever. I was thinking of starting over too maybe do some nice models and forget about money and such things. But i dont know if i have time or effort to do it at this stage

I think this has been one of your best series ever. I do love beauty building, and i think you are the only youtuber who can offer it to us.
I think you should restart your game but this time without crown falls. Beauty building in limited space makes your effort worthwhile.

Taka, i think that's a great idea. I know the feeling for myself very well. I take a short break from anno 1800 and installed 2205 for the first time (played every anno exept 2070 and 2205 so far)

Hi @Takarazuka, I´m rather new to your channel, because I was looking for some inspiration on how to build my own cities in Anno 1800 and how to build like an organicly rising city. I love your work! It´s just beautiful and inspired me alot as I´m more into attractive looking cities much like yourself.
Anyway, how about add some challenge to your game? I´m currenty playing with the three difficult AI´s on expert difficulty and it´s not only challenging but loads of fun as well. I´m not only enjoing the game and the rise of my "empire" but I also value my efforts as I have to protect my islands against the AI. It just adds a little spice ;)
Maybe an inspiration for you in return for your great work! Keep it up!

You know which series of yours I really enjoyed though? When you were fixing other people's save games that were totally broken! With over 3000 hours played myself, I'm no novice, but it was fun to watch you fix it all :)
You build awesome cities and it's a pleasure watching you create and plan out your towns, and I've certainly learned a lot from you on designing a beautiful city. My only criticism would be that you make it too easy and it becomes boring for you and the channel after a while. I'd suggest ramping up the difficulty (starting with using harder NPC's than Quin and Bente) so that its harder to achieve your final goal. Plus the added risk of all out war with one or more of the NPC's would spice up the play through some. I'm looking forward to watching your new series when it begins.
I'm a new player and even myself, I constantly restart to try different things. Also, I'm kinda odd in the fact I only play with hard settings, and funny to admit it but I've yet to make it to engineers. Right now, I have a playthrough that is right at the engineer's level but I think I'm about to start over again because I'm on mostly expert settings and have half a million dollars already, so I can pretty much build a bunch of ships and wipe out the AI already..
As far as your vids, I tend to like the look of your cities a lot more than most of the other youtube guys. While I like some of their channels as well for other reasons but often the cities become so gridlike when they use the same layout structure all the time. Anno really pushes you into gridlike builds with city halls, trade unions and so on which is a bit disappointing TBH.. They need to find a better way to do this so you don't have to min/max everything..
Tough decision, but you need to do what you feel is right, anything else shows anyway. The episodes have a different sound to them when you are not happy with your gameplay and you are completely right, I watch on YT because I enjoy watching you enjoy the game that I love so much. If this is the right decision for you then it will be for all of us, too. :D Enjoy and have fun again! :D

I understand you and I’m happy that you’re trying to have fun with it. Maybe if you try to have at least a fair city with engineers in every island you have or having one harder AI as opponents you won’t get bored with it.
By the way, showing us beauty building is aways amazing
Maybe wanna try to play the game vanilla? I mean no DLC at all, it may seems refreshing for a change.
I thought about that but then realized you get access to NO ornaments from the DLCs either... so that was a deal breaker haha
@@TakaUA-cam well...you could get the ornaments..because it doesn't affect the gameplay at all, it's for aesthetics only..soo... you can get away from it imo
If I enable DLC but don't actually utilize the DLC you have no idea how many times I would have to answer comments about why I'm not using this that or the other

I would really love to see you tackle the Artic or Enbesa as soon as it comes available and beauty build in those regions without the unlimited funds you usually have in the late game

I completely understand. I restart for each DLC which is frustrating and fun at the same time. It seems like the mechanics and items introduced make me perpetually dissatisfied with whatever I am currently building.
This was a great series and I look forward to the next one.

Good stuff, Taka! I feel like docklands made the game easier and pointless to get more islands. I prepared for 2 weeks to beat the admiral, my last foe. When I got all of his islands I... had nothing much to do with them. Start over and most of us will be here to watch.
