Temporary Architecture is one of the new genre full of challenges. They are open in a short period. In this modern-day, the architects must be able to find ways that accommodate the current situation of the environment. I assume this is so challenging. If the situation changes, so as well as the installations and buildings inside. They can permanently exist, or being destroyed by alteration.

The temporary architecture and design is well a magical and mystic field but don't loose the instinct of building a shelter as it's the core of it.

Somehow I get the feeling the design presented in this video and the ideas behind it is rather a one-time admiring. As if it was created out of boredom or yet to reach the highest creativity point and the result looks like a B grade design. (if any of that make sense)

Obviously it is temporary. Temporary approaches are more fun and less boredom. It lets you experiment and see results instantly.

Not sure I agree with you just on the bassi of the first design, it is multi sensory and performative in nature, and I feel like you would have a difference experience there every time because it changes along with the environment and by occupiers action. I think leaving things to chance doesn't mean it hasn't 'reach the highest creativity point', it just means its open ended and rely on use to give it meaning. (If any of that make sense)

Although I agree with you in that they have hit or miss projects

I think you take something simple, add a thesis complicating things and then say, wow.

I love how the architects were in their own little shrink wrapped bubble and then those graphitie artists shook them up lol

How can sustainability be a core part of this inquiry and practice? It seems many of these projects are plastic based. This is a material that came from oil formed over millions of years, the effects of of it’s production will last for millennia or more and the material will last hundreds of years in the environment if left alone. What part of this is “temporary”?

Plastic is reusable and is responsible for a lesser carbon footprint than if it was concrete. The temporal nature of these structures make them more efficient for space as well considering their seasonal/limited use.
