Those laughing at 2030 production date . It's normal for jet to go for 5 yr testing period .
By then world shouldn't change and only complain on DRDO is that they are slow, so they should atleast try making it possible by 2023 or 2024 at most

With the technological advancement, we have, now the timeline must also be improved,ie 10 years to have a jet, is old normal, ,AMC's by 2026 , must be in the sky, then only, we will be able, to take our defence exports over 10 billion dollars, we can invest now, and will get returns in near future
yes but in India's case 5 year is the interest paid on 50 years of development

4. If everything goes according to plan then production will start in 2031.
According to the recent article if everything goes on time, the production will start from 2028

An ancient mig 21 out manuvered and killed an highly upgraded f16. Before this f16 had never lost a dog fight. Giving lots of headaches to designers, reaserchers and engineers at lockheed martin. Giving them sleepless nights about how to improve their platform.
As our drdo chief always makes it clear that Indiahas become really strong in area of missile technololgy, radars, sonars, electronic warfare systems, communications and guns. We can make great nuclear submarines. India is neck deep in building 5.5 generation fighter jet. Tejas our 4.5 generation jet will be precured by indian airforce with a deal worth over 4.5 billion dollars. Wingman drones swarm drones unmanned combat ariel vehicles are all projects that are being developed on a mission basis. On army day this year india showcased swarm drones technology powered by artificial intelligence.
During balakot air strike and when para commandos went deep into pakistan. Using drdos electronic warfare systems their entire radars, communication systems, drones sensors etc were all jammed from miles away. By the time they came to know what happened in balakot and what para commandos did to their camps indian fighter jets and para commandos had already returned back to their base safely. Isros cutting edge satallite also did many types of communication, visual and others types of surveillance from above to collect electronic intelligence on the targets.
This year idea forge won the contract to supply its swift dtones to indian armed forces. This drone is just marvel of technology. Such a tiny drone with very good endurance and equipped with state of the art surveillance gathering capabilities. Very smart artificial intelligence is built into this drone. We will not know it's true capabilities due to security reasons. The ceo of idea forge is from one of indian institute of technology. He built his first drone when he was doing his engeering. Infosys has invested heavily in idea forge. Like the Ceo says this drone is built like a bird and tested like a tank. These chiense drones cannot compete in any way shape or form with swift drone built by idea forge. Idea forge beat many foreign drone companies from america Israel to win this contract. It out performed all of them.
Today thanks to drdo iaf has integrated all sensors, radars, aewcs, air defense system, aesa platforms into a network system called the integrated air command and control system. Thanks to which iaf has seemless air space surveillance across entire air space. India has built a potent network centric capabilities.
Moreover indian companies have developed for iaf electronics maintanance management system which has become world largest such system deployed against many types of platforms and equipment across indian air force. And entire system is completely automated.
Artificial intelligence tools have also been developed to enhance air force capabilities.
And test of scram jet powered hypersonic vehicle last year together with high powered micro wave and laser weapons developed by drdo will play crucial role in amca 5.5 generation fighter jet. Anti drone systems have been already developed by drdo. One such system was deployed during trumps visit to India.
Just like sukhoi carry brahmos suoersonic cruise missile and tejas will carry brahmos ng. Our 5.5 generation fighter jet amca will carry scram jet powered hypersonic missile. And host of non kinetic weapons.
Taking about secure communication. Last year drdo shocked the world by sucesfully demonstrating quantum communication. So indian air force is gearing up for future warfare with a lot of complex futuristic technologies that no one will share with you.

these platforms were basically developed and used in 80's with better upgrades in passing time. these jets are exported to third world countries for profit only. these are bogus planes not used by them in risky operations . Its time we make jets which are cheap and compete with the upcoming 6th gen planes to get a good export market like lockheed , boeing , otherwise developing jets for regional superiority will get us little far. HAL developed jets cost us more produced locally than an importd mig plane . The situation is really bad in aerospace engineering russia and china have almost developed their civil aircraft industry like airbus , boeing and we are nowhere in that area
A Mig-21 cannot outmaneuver an F-16, it got a lucky shot when the F-16 was fleeing. Stop being inane. The Balakot air strike only saw SPICE bombs neutralizing about 300 punks. No para commando operation happened then, you're confusing Balakot with the aftermath of Uri.
China steals tech and makes slightly inferior copies in high numbers, they have their own drones too, the whole world is on AI these days. Don't underestimate anyone, see what Azerbaijan accomplished against Armenia recently. DRDO did not shock anyone, quantum communication is all over China, forget the West which leads the world. What is the benefit in fooling yourself?
US, UK, France and Israel are world leaders in the game. If you keep your head grounded, you will accomplish a lot more.

design looks awesome If we can have hand on good Radar absorption coating and it can go to stealth mode . So the cockpit and nose cone and most of the fuselage is from is from a su57. The nose cone does slightly resemble the upturned design of the Tupolev jets, this was a uniquely Soviet solution but it may just be the angle of the video. The intakes resemble the f35 but that's a common intake solution.
Am I hating? Nope but remember that India had part in the su57 development until they pulled out to continue/pursue development of their own plane. This aircraft is just how India would've completed the su57.

They are working amca mk2 which is referred to as 5.5 gen or you can call it a 6th gen aircraft because it will include every thing of a 6th gen aircraft. But the design will only be of 5th gen.
Only US will have 6th gen fighter , other NATO countries wont match that capability

The AMCA is a concept while the F35 is a fact. One is talking about what it can do while you can see what the other is doing. You cannot compare as the amca is not functional. Lets revisit this when we have a plane that can function first.
