That pretty much sums up how I feel about this track. It feels like it's trying to be upbeat and action-y (I can't find the word), but the weight of everything that's happened is pushing it down into a sadder tone. I love when story is communicated through music like this. You don't even need to know anything about Dusttale to get the general idea from this track alone.

While I do think sans is a little TOO goofy in terms of his humor (it kinda feels out of place for him specifically), I do genuinely like his design here a LOT weirdly reminds me of brad armstrong in a sense that he’s just an extremely broken man, and both of them are just playing too heavily into their characters. I genuinely hate dusttale so seeing anything good come out of a take is impressive as hell, I really do like I miss you
Dusttale I Miss You is simultaniously poking fun of the fact that dusttale as a concept makes no sense at all and instead of making an edgy ahh take on it or stepping away from the core og it, it embraces the cringe and turns it into an actually good dark comedy wherr we get to see sans go through all 5 stages of grief and i love it 😎😎😎
apparently the whole cool trident, "I have a bomb!!!" nonsense is a byproduct of Sans considering if killing everyone to stop the player was worth it, which lead him to just entirely lose his shit, so tldr: the crazy.
