- In this video i will do a full showcase of a new mod that adds a lot of stuff: YSD! Or YSDBirth if you want to call it like that!
As i mention in the same video, i don't know the context of the character, but his gimmick was too cool to just not showcase it!

Context time:
YSD is based on the Chinese Isaac streamer/speedrunner of the same name, and most of the elements in this mod is in reference to inside jokes of his streams, ranging but not limited to:
-Piano: YSD's video outros usually features an art of Isaac playing 2 pianos with each hand, this had been jokingly remarked as "手撕钢琴 (tearing apart a piano by hands)" because it looks like it
-Wire Coat Hanger: This joke originated from the infamous incident of YSD first discovering Death Certificate in his run, and before he can pick up any items he originally wanted, he opened a golden chest and picked up the Wire Coat Hanger dropped...but this was before the patch so doing that kicks you out of the Death Certif. closet as well, resulting one of his most iconic stream moments, and Wire Coat Hanger had been given the nickname "鸭架 (Duck Coat Hanger)" since.
-Wet Cake: On one of his birthdays, YSD was given a cake by his gf, who said that it grows when you pour water onto it (or so the seller claimed), but it turned out to be false advertising, and what is left as a result of him trying it out is him having to finish that wet cake by himself.
-Association with Envy (the boss): This originated from his series of streams of the AB+ troll mod "Abortionbirth" (which I personally tricked him into playing btw), in which a boss that splits into 3 whole Super Envy showed up, provoking a hilariously shocked reaction from the streamer. The appearance of surprise Envy occurred multiple times during this series of streams, making it another one of his most recognized inside joke.
-Also, dude sometimes (or mostly) uses a duck to reference himself, and he is indeed pretty loud...and noisy, of course.
The appearance of the shopkeepers is likely a self-insert of the creator of the mod 冬日雨猫

For real i feel kinda bad because i didn't said in the video that this is a reference to a streamer, and well obviously i don't watch their content, so it's even more awkward for me to showcase it
I kinda had the idea at first that it was related to some content creator but after doing some research i didn't found anything, so i just assumed it was an OC or reference to some fictional character

I mean laz's whole gimmick is revival so if he had a melody I think it would've a bit too op but I think for a way to balance it is to take all but one red heart and take 5 of either soul,black and or bone heart and then give the player one revival

I played the mod, and some of the melodies are OP. The melody of Eve lets you get Ultra Secret Room items so easily, and it's practically free.

Tainted ysd is just an entirely different character, and not in the good way
I absolutely hate these types of mods where they create the most op demon spawns of all time.
