If you guys ever need a hand with anything, feel free to reach out! Charlie and I would be more than happy to come by and help.
Something that I find strange is that I never see your videos come across my "feed". I've been subscribed for a long time, yet I still have to search for your channel, sometimes with difficulty, even when I search the exact name. Anyway, I'm glad we were able to get together for Thanksgiving, despite having missed the Diddy afterparty. Wishing you all the best for the coming year! -Dusty and Charlie
I’m from out the hot springs rd in the two rivers area out of Fairbanks Alaska and yes I have three chain saws lol
The hair next to the spinning motor 😮
Have a Merry Christmas ! Wouldn't it be smarter to have firewood very close to house and split already by Nov. / Dec. ??? Winter snuck up on ya ?? It usually takes about 4-6 cords per winter per other YT Alaskan off gridders. Don't know how long y'all been living up there ??
I have a little info for you. I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time. I just got a new phone and was adding my favorite channels and every time I put your channel name in This Alaska Life would pop up. So I went to my old phone and put Life in Alaska in the search and This Alaska Life came up again. To me you guys should have a lot more subscribers and maybe this is why. Can some other subscribers try putting the name in the search and see what happens. Maybe it's just my phone, hopefully.
Thank you!
Gasoline freezes at -40 to -58F: engine oil freezes at -4 to -58 F. It depends on the composition of the liquid.
I have 3 chainsaws and a wood splitter. I guess I am ready to be an Alaskan.
The bigger wood splitter electric start. 👍🏻
That sounds like a great setup!
Almost as much oil as a Diddy party!!
Your chainsaw per capita in Alaska isn't far off. We have seven, all in working order.
How do not have a wood shed? With all the other building on the property a wood shed seems almost as important as the saw itself… tarps lock in the moisture
Silly goats lol
So maybe you should stock wood before it snows I don't live there but i watch videos all the time people stock up massive amounts of firewood for winter
It's definitely a challenge to get firewood in the winter but we'll make it work!
What you call a garbage can looks like a burn barrel, you are not burning plastic right?
Why not do wood in early fall.
We do when we can, it's a matter of triage.
I don't know the backstory, it's the first I've seen your channel but you are somewhat unprepared I think. We live in a similar climate and when we burned wood we tried to have 2 yrs of wood neatly stacked for drying by end of summer. Cut most of it in spring.
Guns, chainsaws, generator. Every Alaskan has these. Or they should
