- Ah, normal issues for a change! Welcome to the turntable office! Our cozy little nook dedicated to working on, setting up and servicing turntables.
Despite my "LP12 from Hell" which is truly an exception, they are not a difficult table at all if, and I do mean if, you know what you are doing and why.
So, this is just a little journey through my repair station and I add the common example of changing cartridges and pin sizes, this one being on a Rega but it is a very common problem for many.

A tooth pick does the pin connector widening job also very well.
Interesting idea. I think I will do a video on widening pins.

@@jensbondarenko9195 Well, thank you kind sir. A lot of it really comes from having screwed up before. Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. That's why I have to show this process with a hemostat clamp or needle nose pliers.
Rega pin tags are awful - the ones on the earlier arms were stiff and corroded easily. Rega told me that they had an in-house machine which made them. Later arms have different ones which are softer and more durable. If I have to close them a bit to accommodate narrower pins I use surgical scissors and gently tap against the edges. Exactly. But I will have a more detailed one that involves installing all tags on any cartridge. Thanks for the info.
