Huge flaw I noticed in this video is, Tagging all savings to retirement is NOT a good planning. 3 main goals (anytime) to be discussed are, - kid's graduation - kid's post grad - Retirement plan One should understand the corpus they need w.r.t grad/post grad and retirement. (Corpus is the amount you need after X years considering Inflation YoY attached with a Goal) Having 18 cr/30 cr is too huge. (It depends on current expenses vs inflation). Anyone's investments should be tagged to their goals. For example, (One should have the discussion around, How should I invest if I need as below) Grad - 50L after X yrs for 1st kid & 70L for 2nd kid after X yrs. PG - 1 cr after Y yrs for 1st kid & 1.25 cr for 2nd kid after Y yrs. Without knowing the corpus you need, if you investment - it can lead to over saving / under saving.
Hello. Thank you for bringing this. At the end, we discussed on having two separate accounts for Nagendra and his wife where Nagendra's account is for retirement and his wife's account is for meeting children's education and marriage. Saving is the first and foremost thing. Whether he do it in one account of 4 accounts. Once he have that mindset of saving, then he can think about tax saving ways by splitting the money into multiple accounts. Also it is risky to put all the amount in market, hence he is going for SSY. Also it is important to note that, the 18Cr that I called out is amount calculated without inflation. FYI.
@@PersonalFinancebyChanduI think, you couldn't relate to what I explained above i.e., the goals are to be split. I don't have a problem with saving through tax saving schemes/by keeping in 2/4 accounts. (It is not about accounts when I say, it is about the 1-2 Mutual funds are to be tagged to one goal, may be PPF can be tagged to another goal and so on, but not the bank accounts) I also understand that, 18 cr is not by considering inflation which is fine. (This is again a problem which is too much of over saving towards retirement, which I can explain if you want) But, what I wanted to state is - Retirement is not the only planning that you should talk / help him in planning. There are 2 major aspects on graduation and post graduation. Education inflation is more than 10% year on year. For ex. BITS pilani's current 4 yr fee including hostel fee, sem fee and all goes for about 20L as of 2024-25. So, the corpus one should need after 15 yrs if one kid's graduation has to be planned is about 80L after 15 yrs. So, don't just concentrate on corpus after 30 yrs. but split it into categories, defined years, expected corpus and the way they have to be met.

That's what Im saying.. Make sure to enjoy present without worrying about the Retirement plan.. and also if possible earn soo much that you dont need to think about retirement plan..To do that find a job which you enjoy and you dont need to retire..For example my grandfather is 82 and he still goes to farm daily and not sure if he has a bank account.. Ofcourse we shouldnot compare with them as the environment which we are growing is completely different.. My conclusion is that we should involve into a work or hobby or business which gets us into a situation where we dont need to retire and if we have to retire then we need to have someone to live for.. If both of them are not possible its better to die than wait for it😅

Why you are suggesting stocks bro
It’s absolutely a game
If he don’t know when to exit or when to buy def he goes to loose
And you said 2.5 cr for retirement
Who told you , are you guaranteed for the stocks profit
You never
So if it’s in mutual funds , it’s another story
Stocks market portfolio are not designed for buy and forget
We have to make sell and buy to get liquidity
Don’t do this
And he is buying a car
Don’t know in future weather he disturbs his portfolios no clarity
Give proper plan to buy a car if you know
PPF AND SSY are basics
Keep hold
India markets are def going higher that LSE AND NASDAQ
carefully do in stocks
Need very strong mindset to survive in stocks or mf
Because everything is done in one click
I entered in market 2013 no one is with me now
Very hard to stay in the market for years and years
All depends

Stocks markets are not guaranteed for 12% returns
I don’t care it’s good or bad
It’s works in mf
Stocks not
Currently am holding near 1.5 cr portfolio
Very danger
Have to follow time to time quarterly
Note - you can’t predict stock market with some x returns
Game is Game
If we don’t know how to play stay away is good
Coming to diversification

He told that his Employer share for PF is 18,000..
That means his basic salary is 1,50,000??
Sounds doubtful..
Even I had the same doubt. But he clarified and showed his payslip. For government employees, basic pay will be very high.
Thats is basic + DA and i think its a NPS tier 1 account. Please clarify.
It’s 12% of BASIC+DA of employee and employer contributions.
When it calculates 2-3k may differ due some other things also present.
Electricity employees salaries are more than other government employees. It's an corporation, employees are less , salaries are more. Pure government employees ki antha salaries undav for your information. Iam also a govt employee

No tax cut in ppf at maturity we have to remember it
How much CAGR can expect in NPS over 30 years horizon???
14%
12
If you properly do active choice, you can expect average of 12%. Also it depends on when you are adding your investments.

Early retirement gola enduku perigindi ante, idi varaku laga, manam 60-62 varaku work cheyyalem. All software people want to retire in their 40s and 50s.
But I completely agree on maintaining relationship. Its very important to have loved ones.
But we need to plan our salary in such a way that, Enjoy today. Save some for Future as well. And maintain good relations and love your family. Spend quality time.
