Been watching tons of your videos recently and finally bought a safety razor! 1962 Gillette Slim Adjustable, Astra SP blades, got myself a brush and some soap....holy crap after the first pass I'll never go back to cartridge razors! I've only been shaving for a few years now and I absolutely hated it. It would always leave horrible razor burn and tons of ingrown hairs. I put off shaving for weeks because it hurt so bad, even using an expensive Gillette fusion Razor! But now shaving is actually enjoyable and something I look forward to. I can't thank you enough for making these videos, they're very informative and completely changed now I shave. Can't wait for the next one!
That’s the razor my Grandpa gave me. It never hit me that it went through the pandemic. My Grandma got the flu in it but survived. So this is quite the reminder. Very tough razor to use. Nick City! I’m impressed.
Haha that was a funny, nice video. Very entertaining! When Covid first hit all our hotels, pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. All had to close for 4 and 1/2 months. I was lucky enough to receive three kegs of beer and borrow a temprite for that period of time.
Thanks for keeping our spirits up, SinatraLennon. I was reading about a now defunct product called Burmashave and their interesting roadside advertising from the mid 20's to 60's. Also the song title of a Tom Waits song.
I bought 8 gallons of paint as part of my preparation for this a couple weeks ago. Listening to classic rock and blues while painting the inside of my house. "Alexa play the blues" 😷👍💈
Excellent shave!!!! I'm using this time to try and learn the banjo. I was watching "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and I was inspired to learn my banjo, which I hadn't gotten around to playing yet. Life kinda gets in the way but I have time now lol
What's up Sinatra Lennon !!! I have always thought that safety razors open comb, should be used with a different method than regular, for example, subjects who regularly use straight razor use it with a suitable angle to shave since any poorly executed movement will lead to a slight scar . The point is that the safety razor open comb must be used with the same angle of attack and will give us an incredible shave, says someone who uses Mühle R41 daily. Cheers ⚔️💯👍🏻👍🏻
Good shave!!! I find that walking around in a Michael Myers mask has helped me with social distancing, so that's an added plus!!! Hope you and your family are doing well in this rough time!!!!
I wish I had something cool to say. I don't play the piano at all, by the way. There's other instruments I play, mostly woodwinds. My favorite instrument of all of them is probably my clarinet. Today, I finally got something in the mail. A synthetic reed. My first. But I was down to my last two (natural) reeds, and one of them was a dud. Even Vandooren sometimes pack duds in the packs. I tried my best for a week to make it playable by tweaking, playing, resting, etc. But I was never completely satisfied. Well, today, the synthetic reed came, and it sounds just great. You don't have to wet it, you don't have to play it in, it just works. One synthetic is supposed to last just as long as 10 natural ones. They better do, because they are expensive as hell. Also, rumor has it that Légère (the Canadian company that makes them) is phasing out German cut. I guess I belong to a dying species now: Players of German-system clarinets. Well, this species includes all professional classical clarinetists in Germany and Austria, they play Oehler or Viannese system (refined German systems) but the rest of the world plays Boehm-system. Whenever I'm not playing my licorice stick I still have a collection of recorders and penny whistles, and a ukulele.
That little comment about the “90s strike that caused reality tv” (paraphrasin) really, really intrigued me. i looked into it a little bit and it’s kinda bizarre. thanks for that little comment.
If y’all want to know how much better organized the international medical community is today as compared to 1918 read The Great Influenza by John M. Barry. Great shave Trooper! Way to bleed for the Wet Shaving Empire. ⚔️
Buy some witch hazel it’s great! I also bought some after splash executive man scent from stirling and poured some into the witch hazel bottle. I don’t like the smell of witch hazel.
I know you like to mix it up but it looks like the 1918 Gillette razor continues to nick nick nick, was looking recently at a few vintage razors, I think I’ll stick to my Rockwell at this present moment, no nicks(so far). The Fine snake bite aftershave will cure the nick’s. Cheers🥃
Sinatra, did you see the latest release from Phoenix Shaving? It's "EPIC PEPPERMENT"!!! Go to phoenixshaving.com and it should be right there on the home page. Great video! I always think, "Quit hitting yourself! Quit hitting yourself!" when you do that. Have a great week.
You’re the Internet personality with the old fashioned morning show personality!

That’s great! You’ve done well finding this kind of shaving method early on. You’re ahead of the game! Good luck and happy shaving.
....the 1918 razor has lasted long enough to witness the "spanish" flu pandemic in 1918 and now this one....amazing

Hitting the nicks and burning like Emily Dickens. Surreal shaving in corona times. Great video.
Nice one. I have a 1917 Gillette which should be the same as this one, except for the ball end. Excellent little razor.

Great shave Trooper! Way to bleed for the Wet Shaving Empire. ⚔️
I read that a Witch Hazel based aftershave is just as effective but doesn't sting.. did you try one of those? Cheers, be well!
I have a witch hazel bennys of london aftershave, alcohol free... and it stings for sure
What’s your favorite razor blade? I’m using astra but do you recommend one that you like?
Feather or BIC

Did you pick a 1918 razor since that was the year of the Spanish Flu, or just a coincidence?
That’s right!
Who's that? Oh it's you! 🤣🤣
Awesome!! Thx again!!!😂😂😂
Should have opened the video with the "Imperial March" theme from Star Wars.

Next time wear Darth Vader mask and you won’t bleed.
I might cut off my arms and legs!
The mask would be a sure way to keep people 10 feet away from you and you wouldn’t have to say a word !
HA HA HA nice mask ,
Idiotic thing to wear a mask like that. Very silly.
Silly like a fox!
