Hey @liveloopers! Sorry about the pad label readability - will fix for the next update. The labels are white because if you have a really loud waveform, the background in the pad is taken up by the waveform which is dark grey. So there are 2 contrasting colours to fight with for legibility - I think maybe if I just put a dark box behind the text it will make it more readable and still fit in with the koala aesthetic
AuV3 is free now Alex, I bought Koala last week. I’m pretty sure JP had a way to integrate Koala straight into loopy. Checked the app and it’s got a MIDI setup page but I didn’t see no MIDI learn, but it’s like 4am here lol. All the best Alex 👍
Thanks for confirming that. I was pretty sure I saw a recent post from elf audio stating that the AUv3 support was going to be included in Koala going forward but I wasn't 100% sure I was remembering that right. I will dig a bit more into triggering Koala with Loopy. Pretty sure it can be done.
It’s got midi learn, I call it “Midi mapping” in koalas MIDI settings page. Press that button and it will put koala into an Ableton style midi learn mode

Man. We ride the same celestial brainwaves I have been running koala on andoid for a minute, got a pad, loopy pro and immadiate snagged koalla fx I grab all samples on phone. Best smokebreak time filler at work xD. But want to integrate into loopy from phone Got a portable interface (coming tomorrow. Mic work is go!) and im gonna aux phone to line-in! That thought just occurred to me yesterday... Today was "what would i gain by getting it on ios' and outside of integration WITH loopy, i can still use saved templates and sequenses as an external instrument Squee, man. Squee (Oh shit. Would that then use the same mic for recording to the phone live too? Hmmm tomorrow, the testing commenses) Any thoughts to other lost uses by line-in'ing?
Using a droid phone as a mic/sampler is a great idea. There are some really great droid value phones that are very affordable so it's like being able to add an extra screen when needed. Loopy Pro and Koala is definitely a powerful pairing. Would love to see/hear some of what you come up with.
I haven't ever had that use case. I will generally try to do things as simply as possible and with the least amount of gear to make for the lowest chance of malfunctions. So I have had audiences give me a sound recorded into koala on the ipad and then use the sound in what I will loop next. I have had times where I've used an iphone to remote control Loopy Pro. It's a tricky bit for me because I've very tempted to clean up and perfect my samples and that can get boring to the audience, and I've never really worked out cueing either (working on things that the audience can't hear in headphones only.) In fact I've never really worked out headphones or ear monitors at all.

A darker (that dark red/maroon color or black) rounded rectangle behind the labels would make a world of difference for us people with poor eyesight.

I like Koala a lot! I've not put much time into it yet, but I love the flow from sampling, sequencing, and then performance.
No doubt! It makes it really simple to figure out what to do and do it well.
