Adie Bartolome Antiseptic is a reference to a well known alter ego of Jack called Antisepticeye, or his nickname, Anti. Antisepticeye has appeared in a few of Jacks videos, and hearing the reference myself scared me. Once you’ve seen him a few times, you’ll get it. But still, it gives a lot of people the chills still!

Okay, i've only seen this playtrough of this game so far, and here's my theory. In this universe, Germany actually managed to conquer Britain. However, when the USA and Canada showed up in Europe, they forced the Germans to flee from Britain. The Germans, then, decided to take British children hostage, taking every child in the UK under 13 to Germany and spreading them across the country. (Where Percy got on the train, and Arthur talked his way out.) With British children spread across Germany, Allied forces now knew that bombing Germany would result in countless innocent British kid's death, but my guess is they did it anyway. This caused a massive uproar in Britain, as everybody's kids were suddenly dead, as well as people across the nation falling into depression. The government, now controlled by Jack (perhaps a fictional person ("Union Jack"?)), started producing "joy". Joy was marketed as an antidepressant to help people deal with their grief, but simply made them forget the tragedy. The government's actual goal was to make people forget, so they would listen to them once more.
Then again, i may be way off.

I mean, not all the Germans were fighting with the Germans(if that makes sense). In fact, there were others too, like Czechs, Austrians and more who were forced into the Nazi military. Maybe even some French. I always hated how people just assume that all Germans were Nazis, when in reality, it wasn't just Germans the Allies fought. But anyways, it makes a lot of sense. Maybe the Nazis did take over Great Britain, which forced America and Canada to invade, pushing out the Nazis. But I don't think Americans/Canadians would be THAT dumb to just start bombing at random, even if it involved killing kids. I think, the Germans realized that the Allies wouldn't stop even if they had a bunch of British kids all over(which doesn't really make sense because that's a lot of kids to spread out and hide, even in Nazi Germany occupied lands). Maybe the Nazis decided, "Hey we can't return these little fucks, so let's kill them." Remember, the Nazis didn't care about any civilian life. In fact, 1.1 million children were killed in the Holocaust. Just saying. I'm adding onto your theory.

Ok, so spoilers for the rest of the game.
What happened is that the Germans had occupied Great Britain and had something called the Authority Project where they took all kids 13 and younger. Everyone had to do this, so people either killed their kids to save them, or tried to hide them from the Germans. The people were traumatized by this act and began to take Joy to forget about it. In fact, they think the war is still going on possibly. When the people began to rebuild, they did most of what you see now. Arthur meets up with the Constable who helped hide Arthur and basically, Arthur breaks down when he remembers what he did. There's several stories, each one doing something different. But Arthur is possibly the saddest because now he's searching for Percy, his older brother. So yeah, that's everything we know until(hopefully) a We Happy Few 2 comes out where other parts of the world(like France maybe) are also taking Joy and maybe we'll find Percy(who was 14 and is now 31).

*ALERT* Pausing is glitched to not allow you to play again HOWEVER If you don't want to wait choose another spot in the video Obviously like a second ahead and it'll change to a play button repeat to pause as well. I'm using my phone of course. A quicker way than scrubbing the timeline is just tapping twice on the left of the video to go back ten seconds. If you do want to actually pause you'll have to move the timeline a little on the bar since now It's only a play button but this inconvenience isn't that bad to fight on mobile.

So to put it simply jack (the guy you see in the joy promotional videos) is Margaret's father and Ollie was her neighbour. Jack didn't want to send Margaret to Germany so he hid her but Ollie found out and snitched to the police. The loss of Margaret sent jack insane and because Ollie was on joy at the time he didn't properly remember the event causing him to imagine that Margaret was his daughter and that he saved her from the police

Something i forgot to mention was that you can find everything you need in or near the first village, Fine Linen, and the jubilator activator can be bought for a total of 62 coins. There are motilene dispensers scattered around the place. One powercell is in a trash bin next to a motilene dispenser.
