Very helpful video. I’ll be doing international -> international transfer with Avianca via BOG in a few months and was getting mixed info on the need to enter the country. Glad to see this is not required other than a security check.🎉🎉
Glad this was helpful. We had similar questions before this trip and couldn’t find a clear video explanation on how our layover in Bogota would work. We now have another layover in Bogota coming up on our way to Lima Peru this fall. Safe travels
Aliya, the trooper🫡💪🏽😂. Super fun video and nice airport! I wasn’t expecting Bogotas airport to be that nice haha😅. As always, hope you’re all well and take care😁
I know we were looking for a video to prep for our layover in Bogota Colombia so when we couldn't find any that helped us, we decided to make a video about our experience 😀
Yes, according to a quick search “Yes, foreign citizens need a transit visa to travel through Colombia if they aren't from a country on the visa-free list”. Depending on your nationality, you should do appropriate search on legit government site before traveling there
We didn’t need a transit visa to go via Bogota but we never left the airport. Just needed to go through security but no immigration when we switched airplanes. Hope this helps
@@KhizEesahow long did it take to get thru security? I got a 1hr 15min layover around 8:30pm there in the evening in a few months and was curious if I'll be able to make it thru to get on my connecting flight!
I been at this airport several times . It is a Beautiful airport, probably the best in Latin America and better than most of the airports in USA
Yes, we wished we had more time there. Thanks for watching and your comment
