You know how at the top of the instructions they show V (simple chopsticks) & A (double crochet)? Do you mean to have enough yarn we need to use V only?
The video should no longer be private
The "V" explains how to add a stitch in your row and the "A" shows you how to subtract or combine a stitch in a row. Don't confuse the double crochet term in this instruction, with the true meaning of a double crochet stitch that exists in the crochet world. This is why the instructions in these kits are not the best.

I got the elephant, and ended up throwing out the instructions. I looked at it 2 or 3 times to try to figure it out, but it was too confusing for me.

The x is a single crochet. I have videos how to make single crochet. Look into my list of videos. Good luck 😉

You should not be starting with this, learn how to crochet a sphere first, then you will understand better.

Hey thanks for doing this! Tomorrow I'll download it properly so I can watch it when I make it. I am a beginner, but I'm stubborn and hopefully this video will help lol. I think its so funny that they don't give you enough yarn and he ends up with a white arm lol
The reason I ran out of yarn is because I was doing double crochet, if you do single crochet, you should not be running out of yarn. I am currently testing my theory, working on the giraffe, look for my new video tomorrow, about why I ran out of yarn.
This looks very much like the free pattern from lilleliis, not sure who was inspired by who but I'd say lilleliis version looks a lot better. Did it for my nephew 4 years ago and it's still one of his favourite toys.

The X = single crochet, the V = increase, the A = decrease. You have to keep in mind that this is to be crochet like a sphere or same as amigurumi pattern.

Do you know what size hook they provide in the kit, I have this kit just not a fan of the plastic hook
I believe the hook size is a 2.75mm.
