These beautiful vintage Gibson's were built to be seen and heard, not hoarded away by collectors. So glad that you live by that sentiment with these great educational vids. From one Gibson fan to another, thanks for sharing. So many old Gibson's I would not have the chance to see and hear were it not for you. Thanks again.
Steve Earle Doesn't Get Enough Credit. One Of The Absolute Best Song Writers....Ever!! I Found It Interesting That Steve Has A Wish List, J-55 and so on........ makes me feel better about mine. LOL For A 1935 That Gibson Is In Really Nice Shape. Thank you Steve!
I really like the sound of that guitar with your fingerstyle Steve. Darnright magical. Thank you for sharing with us. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
I’m amp obsessed myself, and I would definitely be curious to his amps. However, I don’t really think Steve has an amp collection that is anywhere near the size of his guitar collection.
Enjoying the videos. One model that is underappreciated is the Guild M-20. Mine is a 1968. Small body with 14 frets. One piece of solid Honduras mahogany. Made in Hoboken, NJ. Incredibly responsive. And affordable for mugs like me. Peace.
I’m a nerd too! I had Tony Klassen build me a 13 fret maple Nick. I got in to late in the game. Between charlatans and thieves. It can be hard to come up with aces. Nice touch on the Nick tonight. Perfect. Somethings are still great.
In the future the 'Earle' Gibson will be the 1985 J200 Celebrity that you played in 1991. It was just before you...well...I suspect you might have sold it. Gilmour loved them and you really made yours sound wonderful.
Thank you so much for this series of fascinating videos. I've only seen you live once, at Dobbins AFB, Marietta, GA. Long time ago, but you might remember it because you said that you'd always wanted to play "Johnny Come Lately" on an air force base. And you then did. :)
Funny I was thinking that you had were getting better and handling the technology and switching between cameras but then the camera ran on. Thank you for the nerdy goodness, I love the videos and guitar envy it gives me. Cheers
Isn't there something in the Bible about not covetting thy idol's axe? I'm not a Gibson flat top fan, but that one is cool. I'm now imagining Steve singing Tiptoe Through the Tulips as penance. (And it's sounding just fine in my over active imagination).
I love to hear you ‘go nerd’ on your guitars. Your collection is wild!! What kind of thumb pick are you using? I can’t find one I like. They’re all too long or too tight for me. I end up filing the length down and heating them up to remold the fit.
Careful after recording Steve because your audio keeps running on videos for a bit. Don’t want to take a phone call and inadvertently release private info onto the internet or something. That guitar really sounds amazing with that song
Really wonderful to have all your guitars presented to share with us. And we get a song with them a big plus. Thank you. Completely off topic but I have to ask. I own a pair of John Lennon glasses frames. A fan of round lenses. If I may ask, where do you purchase your glasses frames? The lenses appear to be larger than mine. Your frames look awesome and is more what I'm looking for.
Yep, great show, amazing guitars, finished by wonderful songs. As others have commented - you have left the sound recording going after turning off the video in a couple of your sessions. You should probably sort that out before you post something embarrassing! Ask anyone under 20, they will fix it in a jiffy! Also, as you probably know, the answer to “how many guitars should I own?” is always “as many as I have ........ plus one more!” Looking forward to more episodes, all the best.
Do you know what happened to any of Justin's old guitars? Would love to see you do a video on some of his guitars. His Harmony h165 that was rebuilt by scot Baxendale looks nice He also played a Recording king tRPH-07 in most of the videos from his 2019 tour
I think you might have accidentally left the camera going 😂. You can trim it and then re upload if you want because at the end there is just black screen and silence.

Legend. Thanks for the years. Been a fan since Guitar Town.
Thanks Steve, lifelong fan here and I just hope you see this. THANK YOU. Condolences
Good to see this guitar and hear its story. Good choice for this song and the song is one of my favorites. Thank you.
[It is a blessing to have this legend out here, producing these educational videos mixed with beautiful music. Thanks, Maestro!]
Thank you. Glorious love song. And your left leg makes me so happy in all of the Guitar Town videos.
I really like the sound of that guitar with your fingerstyle Steve. Darnright magical. Thank you for sharing with us. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on this one Steve!
She’s beautiful! And what a perfect tune to present her to us with...thanks so much for all you do! Peace
What a pretty sound this Guitar makes. A song he wrote for Allison. Glad he still performs it. It has such a pretty melody 💜 Oh and Nerds Unite!!
Not too shabby sounding fantastic Steve!
Beautiful guitar, beautiful song. Thank you!
An amazing Collection ! Keep them coming. You know we want to see not just you're electrics one day but the amps too! plz !!! RIP JTE
I’m amp obsessed myself, and I would definitely be curious to his amps. However, I don’t really think Steve has an amp collection that is anywhere near the size of his guitar collection.

Great song. Guitar is in good hands.

Nice touch on the Nick tonight. Perfect. Somethings are still great.
Tony’s the man
Thank you...
When you are back traveling and are coming through Wyoming, look me up and I’ll take you fly fishing on the North Platte. Best therapy I know of!
Thanks for doing these videos , I really learn alot from them . Also becoming a fan of your music 👍
Amazing information, thank you!!
Steve Earle is an American national treasure and needs to be preserved in carbonite for future generations.
Great song, great guitar.
Love ya brother. thanks for the music
Great song!

Tip Toe Through the Tulips and Sparkle and Shine. ...Now there is a set of whimsical tunes. Charmed in Indiana.
Awesome series mate
Ooh!! Love it!!
Funny I was thinking that you had were getting better and handling the technology and switching between cameras but then the camera ran on. Thank you for the nerdy goodness, I love the videos and guitar envy it gives me.

I have a Gibson L-130, kind of a Nick Lucas with jumbo depth.

Another great learning piece from u. U forgot to turn ur recording off......hope u found what u lost Steve.
THIS EPISODE WAS CUT SHORT. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 11 MINUTES & 41 SECONDS. WHAT HAPPENED! IT WAS JUST OVER 7 MINUTES.
You better stay away from copper head road, 🎶🎶🎶
Steve do you have a Gibson j185? I just sold one,, wounder what your impression of them are, you never see many folks playing them.
Yep, great show, amazing guitars, finished by wonderful songs. As others have commented - you have left the sound recording going after turning off the video in a couple of your sessions. This is a great sounding Gibson I think it’s in competition with your Burl Ives Martin 00-28 12 fret
I meant a 00-21 12 fret
Why isn't anyone playing tribute to Justin Townes Earle???
I heard that Steve and the Dukes are coming out with a album in January of Justin's songs. Proceeds to go to his daughter.
Given a choice do you prefer 12 frets or 14 frets and Gibson or Martin?
Do you know what happened to any of Justin's old guitars?
Would love to see you do a video on some of his guitars.

I think you might have accidentally left the camera going 😂. You can trim it and then re upload if you want because at the end there is just black screen and silence.
Good job he's got someone like you around who's so knowledgeable. Maybe you can tell him if he sang it correctly or not.
That's a pretty sleek capo.
Wondering what kind it is.
Gregory Dean Looks like a Shubb capo to me. My favorite.
so how much?
Lol cut the recording device off
If Steve's a nerd, I'm the king of China
I have a killer Dylan ‘46 J-50 with script logo. If you are interested let me know
