Atlantis Rising
The girl gazes upon the striking pillars and
pilloried towers and skyscrapers of
the hexagonal and hexagrammic architectural layout
of Atlantis on Atlantea, and the girl is dressed
in a set of obsidian-silk rain coats, shortened
nyx and raven hair, a set of leather gloves,
sheer silation covers for her lithe limbs, and a
pair of rain boots, again, dark.
She gazes upon Dark Atlantis City,
as the rain thrashes and lashes about,
and she gazes upon the twilight
zones and the distant starscrapers of silicorbinium
and carbonisilicium mal-metal and nu-metal
and the living organic machines that
are part of the city's beating heart,
and she gazes from the Atlantis
Central Spire...and in this version of
Atlantis, that is, of the spin-off Television
Programme, Star Gate: Atlantis, this Atlantis is
not simply five kilometers in breadth...this version is
five hundred kilometers in width and length, and thus,
we have an entire subcontinent sized
starship as massive city on Lantea
in the Pegasus Galaxy...and this version
is created by the artfulness of mankind,
the Beyond aliens of Earth,
and the Free Peoples of the Galaxy
after the Gou'ld invasion has been stemmed
and the Wraith invasion has been
paused and ceased, due to the ingenuity of
humanity to overcome any barrier...
And so, the girl rhythmically sings and
muses on these thoughts, as she
gazes, glaces, glistens, glimtrings,
gladdens upon the raiment of
Dark Atlantis City, where the billion
population of humanity now live
to colonize new worlds and
provide new progenity and posterity
for the future of mankind and
womankind alike...and after all,
she is as of them...born in the year
twenty two eighty six, and now,
ten years old,
she has been living on Dark
Atlantis City all her life...and perhaps, one
day, she will see the City lift
with its star propulsion Zero
Point Modules (there is a requirement for
Dark Atlantis City to have thirty-three
ZPMs at any one time in operation, so
the ability to build such devices became
paramount after the year twenty one hundred
thirty three, thanks to
the innovation of the Pegasus Galaxy,
and the Nebulion Galaxy (where the Or'ii
originated and after their defeat,
the peoples of the Nebulion
joined with Terran humanity to
device such readily available
ZPMs).
And thus, the girl,
Alision Vangriniace
gazes and gristles
upon the thistles and the rain
and the thunder of Lantea
and the amazing sight of the
corporate districts and
power buildings of
Dark Atlantis City.
