    Holy smokes! The future of fishing is here!
    We just received one of the very first shipments of the brand new Daiwa BG MQ 2500 spinning reel and it's incredible.
    The monocoque body (that's what MQ stands for) opens up a whole new world of powerful, saltwater-protected, light, compact reels.
    It's big news in the fishing industry and I know you're going to love this unboxing and review video.
    It's truly the first time I've gotten to check out this reel for myself and I'm so pumped!
    So check this out to see the pros, cons, and specs of this reel, as well as what makes it so special and why I believe this is the future of fishing reels.
    Have any questions about this new Daiwa BG MQ?
    Let me know down in the comments!

    I REALLY like the new tech and features of this reel; considering a 4000 for Jetty fishing with an 8 ft MH rod. Even thou this reel series does NOT use MagSeal, it still requires a SPECIAL TOOL that's NOT available; so how are we able to clean this reel ?

    I hear by tackle advisors and others the seal under the handle where it meets the body isn’t good and allows water to get in. Even on the saltist mq and certate it’s the same.

      I have tried the new 2020 Saragosas, 6000, 8000 and 10 000. Was very disappointed. The 6000 was ok, the 8000 still have the annoying wobble in the rotor and the 10 000 still have horrible line lay. After fishing BG 5000 for 4 years with no problem I bought a 6000, 8000 and 10 000 BG MQ's and couldn't be happier...

    are all daiwa reels made in china?

  • @C5drummer
    @C5drummer 3 роки тому

    Hmmm, on my breakdown to add a little grease to the bearings on my new Diawa BG MQ 6000, I knew I had to box it up and immediately send it back STAT. No joke. The handle's seal is this flimsy rubber piece that won't keep anything out, I found that the rashguard's seal (the new rashguard is pretty nice, BTW...it's metal, not plastic) doesn't even go all the way around! So odd, and I doubt it seals very well. Furthermore, for the price, the huge gear is cheap ZINC? Really? Then the kicker...my Line Roller on the bail didn't feel smooth, so off comes the screw and what did I find? The line roller doesn't have ANY seals, nor ball bearings! At this price point? UGH, back in the box and back it went! It will likely be a great real for a season, but long-term? Nope! :)

    • @Im-mv6bf
      @Im-mv6bf 3 роки тому +1

      You just got a defective reel. And for the line roller, you don't need a ball bearing... bushing are plenty enough as proven on the normal bg.

      @@Gio-nl7eg Think you've been listening to Tackle advisors too much🥴, the BGMQ is 10 times nicer to use and FAR more refined and powerful than the normal BG, it's not even remotely close...
      Tackle advisors has some seriously hot takes some times, for instance, the guy thinks the Slammer 3 is smoother than the Saragosa😂, that the Back bay is some miracle $200 reel (even though it's literally just a normal BG with a tougher gear material), that the Ballistic LT feels like a Saltiga, and so on, do I really need to say any more?😂 Go actually try a BGMQ side by side with a Penn spinfisher yourself and see what's what, you'll never want to touch the Spinfisher again.
