So much effort to have a picture of a polar bear. In the other hand the pictures of mother bear and her cubs are wonderfull and well worth the effort. Great video Roei, Thanks.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to tune in for more videos from all over the world! Share this video with friend who love polar bears ❤️ What animal would you like to see in my next videos?
This was an excellent and informative video. I have great interest in photographing polar bears. I'm a photojournalist look for a different kind of adventure.
Very insightful..very nicely produced, the energy level and the content just keep you glued.. Q: How do you expose for White Polar Bear against White Background? How do you determine its not over/under 1/3 f stop and just right? Do u also get highlights blown? How do you view histograms in field - is it easy to see the screen?
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I use the right metering, meaning I expose for the 0. the fact that the camera has 14.5 stops of dynamic range allows me to get full range in the photo
Great video, any recommendations for lenses 600mm 800mm white balance and focus setting and drive type? I am contemplating taking a Svalbard tour next April, in your opinion in Svalbard what is the best time of year to see polar bears with snow? As I am planning to use my life savings to get there.
Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out. sure. WB isn't that important, since we're shooting RAW. focus is always on continuous and always shoot in continues mode. Svalbard is one of the most amazing places for that, but unfortunately tourism will become much more limited and restricted in years to come. April is the best time to reach there by snowmobiles, and I'm also guiding summer trips in private that I charter. you're welcome to get in touch info@galitz.com
Great video! Subscribed to see more in the future! I would love to go see polar bears with you but I’m too inexperienced. Maybe one day but for now I’ll leave it to you!
Inkognito thanks 🙏🏻 I’m glad you liked it. I’ll upload more videos soon. And you don’t have to be experienced to join me, I’m teaching everything along the way
Great video! Thank you! I am a great fan.. been following you for a long time on Facebook and Instagram. Just love your work. And I do love Polar Bears! Been in Svalbard and Churchill and would love to go back again. I'm a friend of Franco Cappellari and you both sent me a video from Siena saying hello! Hope that you are staying safe in this difficult time.
Hey Cinzia, thanks! that's great to hear 🙏 Franco is a wonderful friend and that's a nice closure. I'm also happy to learn you had a good experience with Polar Bears, if you would like to join me in one of my next visits there - let me know 😉
I love all the animals, with the exception of snakes (terrified by them). But I'm mostly fascinated by all cats (from biggest to smallest) and foxes: red foxes, arctic foxes and, above all, fennec foxes. Love these little guys!
Cougars are my favorite animal that I would photograph. Iam a Wildlife photographer I saw a glimpse of one when I was a kid with my family many many years ago up in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia USA. at shanendoah National Park.
well, to be honest - if you're into photography, it really doesn't matter talking about settings and exposure, since the greatly vary when taking images in the field. If you would like some tips and pointers on that, first of all - you can ask more nicely 😉 but, I can tell you that usually because of the snow - there's a lot of light. I shoot most of the time at ISO 100, and set the aperture to between F/9 and F/13, keeping the shutter speed at a minimum of 1/500, depending on the action and movement (sometimes, reaching 1/8000) and of course - aiming for more mm of the lens. I keep the exposure at "0". I hope this does help you understand better.
Would you like to join me in Svalbard and photograph amazing wildlife?

Polar bears
cool, that's my favorite as well. I'll do another couple of polar bear videos, including behind the scenes stories on some of the unique images
No real info on how to photograph! Like settings, exposure etc. Disappointing. Def not the right title for this vid.

and no bait involved lol you hypocrite
I'm not sure I understood your comment and if you're being sarcastic... indeed, there's no bait involved.
