heres what makes no sense to me in dragonball
vegeta when mad surpassed goku in battle of gods who was a super saiyan 3 while vegeta was a super saiyan 2
but against seeing his own son die he didnt even do nothing to cell
the ssj2 transformation can be triggered by emotion as we saw with both gohan and kabba

Lore wise it’s probably Vegeta’s warrior mindset forcibly clamping down on his rage. He’s used to seeing people die, even people he somewhat likes. The fact that he flipped out at all proves he’s starting to crack and be more human.
Out of universe it’s Gohan’s arc and so he’s doomed to be about as useful as Yamcha.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing a season of Dragon Ball with this art style, provided that the quality is at least always AROUND what it is here.
For example, 1:38, just look at that. I am not even a big fan of the cell arc nor Gohan but that looks so freaking cool.
