This dude is too honest and intellectually deep for Pitchfork which seems to me often does seek the acceptance of mass tastes or industry giants and sacred cows in order to stay profitable or even to make more money. But lets not even suggest the idea of him going to Rolling Stone which lately is just plain idiotic and demagogic as their 500 best albums ever list showed. Even Fantano´s review of this same album to me seemed rather shallow when compared to this review which went as deep and global as showing us how this kind of corporate musical bullshit shows defects of capitalism itself as a socio-economic system in the way it squanders talent and resources for the whims of a few super rich idiots. His mention of the Jeff Bezos stupid antics trying to go to space was really interesting. It even got me thinking that society should perhaps think of a system of resource or profit redistribution for artists who actually do care to make good art or music and do actually deliver that and so we could take some of what jerks like Drake are able to count on and actually give to those real artists in order for them to deliver us more masterpieces to beautify our lives as well as for them to actually be able to earn a decent living and be more financially secure.
The whole double review idea was very creative. Even though I highly prefer Donda over CLB (probably cause of my bias as a fan) I thought this was a great way to compare them form your point of view.
After watching the DONDA review...I must admit you made me scared, but you did made me realize the shocking parallels between the two albums.
And honestly, it was kind of a smart move that you did. Atleast, you saved some time and breath.
Especially when he’s going to have to cover all the songs again on Billboard Breakdown anyway

Listening to Mark talk about these albums by Drake and Kanye is more interesting than both the actual albums. Both Donda and CLB are just background noise. I'm done with Drake whinging about women (he is one of those "nice guys" IMO) and the whole stupid carry on around Kanye.

Honestly, DONDA has a bit more effort put in more than CLB
I didn’t enjoy CLB all that much, but imo Donda has a wider range of sounds, better features, and much more effort put into it overall. I see a lot of the parallels between both but I think they’re different in many ways.

I figured out what was going on pretty quickly in the first video, but I stayed on through just to enjoy the sass and was in the end surprised that you brought it around again to a duplicate end script. Great job!

Based review, Mark (for both albums, although I did liked CLB less than Donda, neither is amazing album tho, CLB is a 2/10, outside of features here and there there isn't a song I really liked), can't wait for inevitable album bomb and inevitably long BB episode, which I'm fine with, I like long videos

Okay, wow. WOW. I watched the Donda review first, and while watching it I was wondering why you kept using pronouns instead of saying Kanye's name before the static came in. And oh my God, it is crazy how one script can fit for two albums so seamlessly. I'm also not into either Kanye or Drake, I can't stand either of them as people, but I find the feud interesting because, you're right, Kanye and Drake really ARE two sides of the same coin, even with their different musical styles. So I'm just munching my popcorn as the craziness goes down without even giving either album the time of day. I'll be waiting to tune into Spotify if Pusha T puts out a surprise album to cockblock Drake on the Billboard Charts at least a little. I know it won't happen, but I'm still wishing it since Pusha is the only rapper involved in that beef that I respect.

@@Artizm_Music On the other hand, the artist involved with Certified Lover Boy is infamous for being incredibly lazy with his art, to the point of having others do it for him, and then sell it off for millions upon millions of dollars to the point of almost being a billionaire himself. That's what we got with Certified Lover Boy: a scamming artist that got his shit sold to Drake for millions for a shitty album cover. At least the blackness in Donda can have a standard sense of what Kanye West feels without his mother in his life anymore.

i have hated drake specifically for girls want girls for over two years and now that kendrick has put that little troll in his place i may be able to die happy
6/10 but it's obvious that drake is done trying and after like 5 real albums but tons of eps, mixtapes and other projects constantly coming out I'm fine with that. drake has made his mark and said everything he could. I will still listen to a good drake song if it comes out but he doesn't have much to add anymore, he can retire now or release more phone in stuff. He's done enough, I'm not expecting anything else.
I actually loved pipe down and think its one of the best songs but only because of the beat behind it and Drake’s decent singing that actually makes the song more better. I’d replace that for Way 2 sexy in terms of worst songs cuz i can’t fkn stand that song despite the music video kinda showing a different context

One of the worst drake album covers I seen what kind of album cover is that it took drake like three years and then drake had to make that terrible album cover that is terrible.
*Damien Hurst made that album cover. He's also an awful artist, to the point of scamming for millions of bucks to almost become a billionaire himself.

As a Drake fan, even though I don't care much for this album (unless I'm curious to hear it), I still like listening to him regardless of what people like Spectrum Pulse and ARTV say.

You know, at least the album cover relates to the album itself in one thing: the fact that it's cheap and lazily produced. (In case you don't get it, the album cover was "created" by infamous artist Damien Hurst. Hurst is someone that's infamous for doing rather basic shit for art and having it sell for millions upon millions of dollars, to the point of almost being a billionaire himself for his shit! Basically, Hurst scammed Drake's rich, stupid ass with that album cover of his. At least with Donda's completely black album cover, you can act like it's reflecting how Kanye West feels without his mother being around in his life anymore.)

The thing is, this would work, but you didn't review anything here, because if you actually tried to do that this could not work at all, since the albums are so extremely different under almost every point.
Plus there are clear errors since CLB has a lot more disses and diss tracks than Donda but you wrote as if they were both full of them.
You just talked about stuff that is around the albums, how rich they are and about how great they used to be for 3/4 of the "review", this could work with so many albums, not only this two.
Well I guess at the start you said that you didn't want to do the review and, well, you didn't.
