I’m so freaking excited! The auto feeder is amazing and I love that I can do horses with seasons now!
I wish they had an autofeeder for pigs once you get a ton of pigs you have to put in a ton of money or a ton of harvest yields to keep them fed
Can you Pressure Wash to clean your Horse/Cows?
Looks good, but they still haven't added collision to the animals, they still walk through each other, and walk through your tractor, so as a "simulator" it isn't much of one if your livestock can walk through walls lol.
This game was NEVER a simulator. Its a game and a rehashed game at that.

@@gagericker3224 first of all, I farmed for decades long before this game ever existed, and second, I probably retired from the farm before you were born lol. I may be old, but I do know a tad about a farm, and my cows never walked through each other lol. 🐄
What this game is missing is a comprehensive breeding system for plants and animals.
It would get me hooked trying to breed the right kind of crop or animal
Or try to breed a chicken with a goat, yay it’s a Choat 😂
Selective cattle breeding with AI would be awesome. Set them up for AI, breed them, get calves. Also using a chute and coral system to vaccinate or work cows. I know that's probably way too much though. I love how horses you can use as vehicle. Makes it nice to ride through cattle pens. I wish also we could make cattle pastures with fence tool like we have in the Sandhills.

My first observation from this is that horses won't be as lucrative. They seem to have a base price of 500, not 5000 as before. Unless there is a massive increase over time, then it would appear that they would not reach a value of 50000. Time, and playing will tell I guess.
I'm assuming you can't raise a potentially valued race horse?

The Silage change is a realistic change I don't know anyone who feeds cattle silage only. I grew up on a farm and we always mixed never just straight silage.
seriously?? silage is the main thing to feed cows on any farm if u dont have a mixer

We feeding cows with Grass silage bale per day And hay bale per two days, i Hope i can in fs22 Feed with silage bales...
@@triglav987 I'm telling you right now for the purposes of dairy farming straight silage affects milk quality.
I've been playing this for a week now and it's amazing. I've got a wheat farm selling wheat as harvested and around 70% is brought to the mill and then sold. I do use the autoloader mod for this.
I've only barely scratched the surface of the game. I was scrolling through the animal menu's earlier so now i want to try that. This video helped alot, thank you!
Playing on elm creek btw, my farm makes around 15-35k per month depending on contracts and when i sell products it goes up to 50-70k. Becoming proffitable was a challenge as a completely new player. Loads of fun though!

So can you create cow pastures with the fencing construction? Like can you create feedlot/pasture combos like a lot of American farms are setup as for beef cattle? Have a well-water trough? That seems like a simple way to have a beef cow operation.
No the pastures are determined by the footprint of the placeable not the fences, so we will need to wait for map modders to create bigger and more integrated shapes into maps
@@TheFarmSimGuy then what is the point of the fencing? Literally just decoration? It’s FARM simulator, not landscaping simulator. Have a purpose to what is in the game. Come on, Giants. This feels like they are going to release lipstick updates to games like EA does.
@@jordanroberts1519 Probably soo you can make a legit farm with fences and everything, some people like to actually make it look like a farm without mods and everything, what's the problem lol
Maybe with luck the new fences are a step towards being able to build custom pastures. I'm sure modders will make it happen.
Am I right in saying the breed of animals and buildings vary from map to map, I noticed Angus cows wasn’t available on this map.
My only feedback for giants is when the animals lay down …. Stay down a little while they seem to be up and down like yo yos. Great animation though

I defenitly will be buying some animals and just watch them for a while. With regards to visuals and game mechanics, the animals might have gotten the biggest upgrade. Just look how they move. Look how the udders behave. Amazing!

Are you kidding me? I still have absolutely no idea what cows are for! I've only seen a robot feeder!?? What are they for? Milk? Beef? Bro help us out , I've only ever farmed fields!
Both milk and beef depending on which breed you buy. Feed them and over time their price will go up then sell them 👍
Thanks mate, not a bad cover. Though I came here to find out where to give the cows straw as I couldn’t find the trigger point, and you didn’t cover that. Turns out you can only use a forage wagon and not bales or bucket loads. And unload it inside, next to the feed troughs. Also the chooks don’t need roosters to reproduce

How are Pigs easier to keep than horses, if you need a mix of 4 things as opposed to two ??

Biggest complaint for me is not being able to feed using bales
Yeah I'm hoping that's a bug and they'll fix it in a patch!
@@TheFarmSimGuy just adding the ability to break open bales would help, but as it is they can't even be stored. Might as well leave everything loose and not ever bale.

you can rename the horses in the animal menu you missed that when you scrolled down to the horses right at the bottom it said space bar

Bit of a Bummer that Silage has been removed as an option to feed to cows, I tend to buy bullocks In 19 And tmr Was pointless, So I will have to wait and see

Yes that is the same as FS19

When you say "covered a field in tarmac," are you talking about paint? Asphalt?

Really cool! And did I see that correctly? There is no more cleanliness stat for most animals, so you don't have to clean up along the food trough every couple of minutes? That is great! I think the horses still have the stat, but they have to be brushed clean if I remember correctly. And it seems you can only get manure and slurry from the larger buildings, the cow pasture only seemed to provide milk. Though maybe if you add straw to the pasture. I love manure spreading, so I'd definitely want a source for that on my farm.
I can't see manure in animal tab and i don't understand, it looks there is no manure from cows, pigs and other.
@@RisaKudela2 Usually you get manure by giving the animals straw. I am not sure if you can only give them straw in the buildings, or if the simple pastures can also generate manure by adding straw to them.
@@sarahohara5806 but there isn't mention about manure in tab about animals :/ and in my opinion you can only give straw to barn not pasture
@@RisaKudela2 I don't know, I can access the game tomorrow afternoon for the first time. I'll have to see if pastures can generate manure or if that is exclusive to the barn. Would be cool if the pasture allowed it as well. But I can totally see them limiting that to the barn.
The animals look a lot better pigs getting out is normal but they should have minerals in for there ration and you did not try bails in the cow shed or have it got to be loose great to see the animals at last nice work FSG 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pigs getting out is not normal, they also run straight through walls and they run in slow motion.
Ok how do I set up the manure and milk systems for the Elengrat map?
where do you put straw down for bedding? is that by the feeder robot aswell? ♡ for cows
No you would have to do that with a straw chopper
@@TheFarmSimGuy never played a farm sim. so you just shoot in straw into their pen and it will just build the beds by itself?

few questions. where do you put the straw down for the cows?
There should be a trigger in the same place you feed them, use a bale chopper or loose straw in a trailer rather than full bales 👍
You can rename the horses have to go to the animal menu! 😀
They should make it where you actually get out tractor hook up hoses lines etc more realistic
There is a mod called manual attach for that, I'm sure it will come for FS22 soon

You didn't talk about the production side of animals. It's not the same stone cows don't ever give you milk. How do horses become worth more money? Great video about caring for them, but I feel like nothing about how to make money from them.
Because it was about the animals, I'll be doing a video on production at some point. Horses work the same as in FS19 for money.
Can't wait, if you want to build your own farm, can you delete the pre built farm you start with on new farm mode?
Just start in farm manager or start from scratch

No you just need to dump all the bits into the shed next tothe robot, it'll do the mixing itself
Do you need to wait for the milk cows to get babies to produce milk like in seasons 19?
Good question, you can now buy cows at different ages, the older cows can produce milk sooner than the young ones

To a bit different in FS19 to 22 you need to go into your owned equipment in the shop and sell it there

there is a season pass available. Will get you all dlc's for the next year. And there is a collectors edition, with some extra goodies.
Do the cows graze? (Do the eat the grass?) Oreo you have to cut it and feed it to them?
They will eat a tiny amount if you have a small number of them, but you do need to probably feed them as well, they won;t produce much milk just eating grass

Can you make sorghum silage to feed the cows?
No sorghum in FS22 is a crop like wheat or barley so it’s combined, you can’t turn it into silage (you can if real life, but not in game)
How do you put straw bedding in the robot barn? I bought the straw shredder and was prompted with no trigger.

Great vid btw just something to say I’m on Xbox series s and when I place any animal enclosure and say that was cows i buy the max amount of cows for the that enclosure and it can only see like 6-10 of that animal and that happened every time with every animal even if I just buy a few :( I was just wondering if u could help me out!??
Yes it’s designed like that if there were the maximum amount of cows showing it would slow your machine down, it’s to keep performance as high as possible

Yeah I ran it with a tiny amount in just for the purpose of the video I’ll do some more testing on it

You can use a strawchopper, but it doesn't appear that bales are accepted
Yo my man. I did feed my cows grass but the health of the cows and productivity doesn’t go up…. Nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
To increase productivity you would probably need to feed them TMR

You can move them, load them up to a trailer and move them to another paddock

I hate that we don't see the food from the robot where the cows are or where the horses are, are the devs that lazy?
The amount shouldn't even matter, the mix should be seen on the ground according to the amount left.
Also the pigs running around passing through buildings, there's no hitbox at all for the animals.
Hopefully they fix that.
quick question what is the largest amount of cows that can be on a farm ?
The largest amount of cows per barn is 80 but you can place more that one 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy ouch on fs17 i had a 10k cow farm and a 500k pig farm on console was epic but the animals not a challenge now .... :-(

Will the f9 (or f11 cant remember which one) mod be available in fs22? Also is crop destruction a setting in base game?
I'm sure the modders are working on it already, and yes crop destruction is a setting that can be turned on and off
why doesn’t the side panel from logitech work with the PS4/5? Is it going to work in the future or have I wasted a lot of money?
