I am so sorry but your daughter stole the show! What a sweet bright young lady....I can tell you are doing a fantastic job raising her.
Awe, your daughter was so cute at the end! Thanks for sharing!
Yes to your daughter!!! The joy and pride in your eyes, great to see!
I've been using the LCO method for 3 yrs now because it works best for me as well. Love the video!
Thank you! That method is like gold to natural hair!!
OMG she is too adorable!!! I had to watch this twice because I was stopping the video taking notation to some major key elements that I was missing in my regiment. Thank you dearly for filling in the blanks because I was going bonkers. Never to old to learn. Have a blessed day :)
That's great! I hope everything works out! ❤️
So lovely using your beautiful daughter in the video. Representing natural beauty at any age.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the tips. The spray bottle with oil and water mixed in will really save me time and keep my hair moisturized hopefully. And your daughter really sold me at the end. She is so adorable!
Awww the little girl just totally made my day!! I went natural about two months ago and im soo struggling with dry hair right now. Im gonna try these techniques thanks so much for making this video!
My daughter's hair is so dry this video helped me a lot!!! Thank you so much!
Aww your daughter so cute! Thanks for sharing how you keep your hair hydrate.
Oh this little girl just stole my heart!
It's a microfiber towel. You don't have to purchase them from Deva Curl for $20+. You can get those towels from the auto store much cheaper. They do the same thing.
Or Dollar Tree
Evette LaCour-Nixon I actually bought 2 small turbins from Bed, Bath and Bodyworks. Walmart has them too.
Samantha Ivy A few years back I found one at the Dollar General that I really liked. I don't shop at Walmart...won't go there to save my life, lol. Was the one you bought from Bed Bath & Beyond reasonably priced?
Evette LaCour-Nixon I think it was less than $8.00. It was one of the smaller ones. It was one of the boxes that had 2 turbins inside of it. I wish I could find a large one at Dollar General. Why don't you shop at Walmart? Just curious...
+Samantha Ivy...I don't shop at Walmart 'cause the only one we have here is clear across town where the traffic is always heavy!! Nothing against them though.
Thank you. I'm gonna try these tips!! Your daughter is a doll!!!
Your daughter is such a cutie pie!!! Thanks for all the hair tips!!
Awww....your daughter was so cute in the end! Thanks for the helpful tips!

Hi Shawntaye you have beautiful curly hair !....and your daughter is so cute!....My name is Shawntaye also....I agree with deep conditioning your hair once a week...you gave some great tips
Shawnta thank you for your hair video. I had locks for approximately 7 years and prior to that I was a perm queen. I took my locs out one-by-one and of course I lost a lot of dead hair and needed my ends cut. The locs were also very harsh on my cheekbones, the dead hair. April 2016 will be approximately two years loc free. My hair grew a lot, but now my hair seems to be growing very slow and my edges are soooo then, I can't wear my hair in any up-do styles. I tried the things I said I would never do... a sew-in hair style for several months; I bought a wig, but I really am not kind of person who likes that stuff, I prefer real and natural. I feel a little stuck because I wear my hair now pulled back in a ponytail with, of course, a lot of gel, but I want my hair to grow all over, especially my edges. I use to grow my hair easily with a perm back in the day. But now things seem so slow, my hair seems thinner. Anyway....your video is first encouraging, informative and educational. I prefer and love long hair. I thought I'd share. I will try to put in action the things you shared in your video.
Good luck!! If you need any more help with edges I have a video on my channel called "how I grew out thin edges" I struggled with really thin edges when first going natural but found lots of tricks and told them all in that video
Thanks so much you were very informative, with visual information and advice and yes little one I liked your mommy's video! :) Great Job girls!
Your daughter is beautiful!!!! She's a star in the making! Thank you for your video! My daughter and I are starting our natural journey! (this is my son's page)

Hey Shawnta, Steam helped me. I have a hand-held steamer on those days I need moisture ( wetting my hair with water results in dry hair . SMH I don't understand). I also deep consider with an overhead steamer. It help my hair improve a lot. And your baby is so cute!

lOVE THE VIDEO, LOTS OF GOOD INFO AND YOUR DAUGHTER IS BEAUTIFUL
I just started to transition to natural in May 2015 and I've decided not to cut my hair. It's hard for me because my hair has a lot of processed parts to it, it reaches my shoulders and I don't know what to do with it. Love your video.
Thank you for the info I'm just starting my natural journey and it's a little frustrating, but I'm going to stick with it I'm not a quitter
It's so great that you have that mindset! Keep going!
My fav is the end, when your daughter comes on :)
okay because that little cutie said so....she's adorable. great video
Lavona Edwards thanks!!
Thank you so much for the tips. very helpful video. Your daughter cannot wait to have her own tutorial chanel lol!😍
Great vid! Your daughter is a doll!
Very informative! Great job. I am on the right track. I just need to be consistent!!!
DIY...1st...half banana, one avacoda, 1 cup of raw honey, 1 cup of goya coconut milk, or choose your own brand, 3 tablespoons of olive oil ...mix with blender...or whisk till smooth. Put all over hair...put plastic cap on..sit under dryer for 45 mins... rinse...sulfate free shampoo. Rinse. Use your leave in conditioner, next use your leave in cream that has shea butter in it and oils, next choose an oil. I use jamaican castor oil mix with jojobo oil that will seal in the moisture...Everyday or everyother day spray hair with water and add a leave in cream that has shea butter mixed with oils...you can do this after work and let hair dry a little than do the 2 twist in big or small size...put satin cap on when headed to bed...Will soon be getting my on channel...trust me girls...you ain't seen nothing yet! I'm going to tell you the dos and donts..and all about products that are good and bad!..Believe me some alcohol in products are fine to use...you have the good and bad alcohols just like there are good and bad carbs...So so many ways to keep hair mosturize...
Thank you so much for the tips. Your daughter is gorgeous btw.
Thanks ❤️

Your daughter is a real cutie. She's got your lovely eyes too. Well, thanks for the tips. I'm trying to do something different to get my hair to grow past my shoulders. It's seems like nothing is working. But I still have to keeping trying.
+michellecalling thanks so much! and have you watched my "how i grew my long hair video" its got some useful info in that video on hair growth! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/0QPxiMR8Tc4/v-deo.html good luck
+Shawntas Way (Shawnta'sWay) I looked at your tips again & I pre-pooed for the first time this morning. After massaging the coconut oil thru my hair and scalp & putting a plastic bag over it for 15 min. my hair felt really soft. I wasn't prepooing before. Also, I'm going to really focus on my ends & keep it really moist in order to keep it from breaking off there into little hairballs. I really hate that! It drives me crazy about the breakage. So I've heard a lot of good things about Monoi oil; so I'm going to give it a go. Right now, I'm putting my hair in medium sized twists and place it in a protective style for the next few days. Thanks Shawtas Way for your suggestions. It really got me thinking more about what I'm not doing for my hair. God bless.

Thanks girl! I'm glad it helped 😊
Great video, definitely can apply some of what you say to my natural waves journey!
+rasthagreat Thanks!
Hey I just started my natural journey, I wanted to know how often I should shampoo, deep condition, and co wash my hair? I go to the gym like 4-5 times a week as well. Thank you
Destane Karim I know this comment is a little old but I would say shampoo every 2 weeks (no more than every week) , you can deep condition weekly or every 2 weeks , & you can cowash everyday if you would like (I would since you go to the gym)
That was a great video. Your daughter is so beautiful and smart. Thanks
My daughter has severe dry scalp and hair and I just cannot keep it moisturized. I am going to try your DIY Hair Growth Oil maybe it will help.
Girl, I just bleached my curls after I have fully recovered from heat damage after a year and I regret it! I didn't lose my curls but they are a lot drier now! Thanks for the tips beautiful, never going to mess with my curls again. Xoxoxoxo great video girl. Also, do you have any reviews on the mix chicks leave in conditioner? I bought it today and going to mix with coconut oil as well!
I also threw out my hot tools and am dying my hair back to my deep brown. Have to nurse my poor curls back to health! :p
Thanks for the tips! Very thorough and easy to follow. You've got a new subscriber :)
Yay! Thank you!!!
Doing LCO instead of LOC is perfect i always say "cream before oil for perfect coils, oil before cream for frizz supreme"
just saw you for tha 1st time & you are sooooo adorable. LOVE tha hair and your regimen. thanks 4 Tha videos!!!
+Niki love :)
we do the same exact things. I use water as my leave in for my LCO.
Your baby is SO CUTE!!! God Bless!!
Your little girl is sooo gorgeous 😍
Awesome video! Thank you, for sharing your hair growth tips. Most appreciated. Also, I have found a wonderful product called, "Alter Ego." found on Amazon, these are Italian products which have been instrumental in stopping my hair from breaking and restoring moisture check it out. (Plastic bag for approx. 4 hours) then rinse. I also shampoo with WEN products, too! Air-drying is great too!
Your hair is perfect *-*
LMBO...your little one is so funny and adorable! Nice video, and although most of the products you've suggested are expensive, I understand that's the downside to "natural" products, but "oh well" guess l gotta sacrifice to get healthy hair like yours, thanks for the tips tho!
Thanks so much!
Love this videos Sis. Thanks for the information 😘
Your hair is literally perfect!
Awww your daughter is adorable! Thank you for these tips! I just subscribed to your channel :D

you more than welcome I learn a lot from you
i have natural curly hair but i just use olive Gel and scrunch it up onto my hair ... it works and it keeps it curly
Please do a video on your homemade deep condition
I love your hair tips! And your daughter is preciosa!!
Do you use sulfate shampoo and conditioner I bought those, but my hair did not like so use regular shampoos and my spray bottles always break so I continually soak will try again. Need a new spray bottle. I am about to do the rosemary leave in for my daily leave in spray to moisturize Your girl is so cute she is a doll
your daughter is so funny and cute! beautiful I like both of y'alls hair
I really enjoy your video's they are very educational.
Great vid and your daughter is adorable!
Aw thank you glad you enjoyed !
lol ur daughter is to cute you can tell she loves her hair she wanted to steal your UA-cam channel lol
she's so cute!!
everyone praises coconut oil but my hair is protein sensitive so I can't use it..
Same, it dries my hair out bad.
Ik I'm late but try mineral or sunflower oil
IKR! It makes my hair so dry and frizzy
I feel like ppl are either using too much of it or they're not using it properly. I mean I know not every product is gonna work the same for everyone but coconut oil does not contain protein. I believe the coconut meat do but that's totally different than the oil that's made by them boiling the coconut meat 🤔 I may be wrong. Watched the process weeks ago but the oil itself does not have protein in it. In that case wouldn't the nutritional info state the grams of it? or do >1g?
Same ! I started using sunflower penetrating oil
Your hair is gorgeous! I have high porosity hair and it is always so dry I've been using an oil mix of castor oil olive oil and peppermint oil on my scalp but I think it's too thick to seal my hair with. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do or use?
+Simone Goring Watson as far as oil goes? if so yes! i have a DIY hair growth oil that i use heres the video: ua-cam.com/video/RZhhdwgejxQ/v-deo.html
You daughter is too cute and smart. She was a plus!
Thank you!!
So cute at the end!
Thank you!!
Love your tips. Thank you so much. It was great.
I going to try the LOC method tonight to see if that helps me.
I hope it worked out well for you! Thanks!
Great video! Your daughter looks like your twin in a small version. 😀
Thank you! 😊
how would you suggest putting your hair while sleeping? because buns make my hair go really weird and nothing helps me after that except washing it. and i dont want to be washing it everyday
Thank you for sharing! At what point do you co-wash?
