That's because Carolina brought back a loaded roster of former McDonald's All Americans who all had respectable NBA careers. That won't happen again any time soon.
I feel like the video would be easier to follow if you included highlights from the games. Still a good video from a guy who loves college football stats
The most disappointing preseason #1s in this time span had to have been the 2001 Florida Gators who lost to Tennessee at home as nearly three touchdown favorites only two games away from playing in the Rose Bowl for the national championship and the 2007 USC Trojans who lost as 40 something point favorites to Stanford and would have been solidly favored over either LSU or Ohio State in the national championship game. Those two teams were loaded. The biggest fraud was the Matt Barkley "unfinished business" USC team.
@@RadicallyOptimistic They lost that many games because they were nowhere near as good as the media wanted them to be. The two teams I mentioned, in addition to the Georgia team with Matthew Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, and AJ Green were objectively great.
The 08 blackout for Bama wasn’t the first blackout ever. We had previously done it against Auburn in 07 Season and Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl 07/08 Season. Bama was the 3rd blackout. After Bama destroyed us we didn’t wear them again till the 2020 season Haha

The '08 Bama game wasn't the first Blackout Game in Sanford Stadium. That was the year before in 2007, when they played Auburn. Also Tebow wasn't the reigning Heisman winner in '09. He won in '07, Sam Bradford won in '08.

Small correction.. Noles didn't just rest many starters. Maybe 6 starters played in that game. Travis leg was broken, Rodamaker left when FSU got stiffed from their playoff bid. So freshman 3rd string QB played. Coleman, Lewis, Benson and Douglas all sat. Jaheim Bell was the only season starter other than.. I guess you could say Toafili was a semi-starter. Morlock too I guess. Then on Defense.. DeLoach, Bethune, Dent, Verse, Fiske, Green and Jones all sat. Farmer, Lundy Payton played I think.. Lovette played too I think. Basically everything that made Florida State go did not play vs UGA.
I’m so tired of this “Ohio State beat Miami on a controversial call” nonsense. That game should have never went to OT in the first place Ohio State had the ball up 17-14 and controversially the refs didn’t call the defensive holding and ruled Chris Gamble out of bounds when he was in bounds. The refs get either of those calls right Ohio State runs out the clock and Miami loses in regulation so miss me with that Miami got screwed BS
How? Not only was it PI they missed a obviously PI on Miami earlier in the game that would've gave osu a first and more than likely the drive to win the game with no OT
Why do I have to be on the thumbnail 😂
Yooooooooo
Crazy

What happened bro go to the NFL

This isn’t college basketball but 2008-2009 North Carolina are the last preseason #1 to win the NCAA Tournament.
03-04 UCONN and 06-07 Florida are the only other 2 since 2000 to do it too.
Unc almost did it again in 2015-2016 but a buzzer beater by Nova ruined that.
That's because Carolina brought back a loaded roster of former McDonald's All Americans who all had respectable NBA careers. That won't happen again any time soon.
Something about UNC huh, also the first Preseason #1 to miss the NCAA tournament in the 68 team format
@@tylerjarman2121them and Kentucky 2013-2014 are the closest to winning it after 08-09.
As a Bama student and a Kanye fan, when the fsmhp1 beat dropped right when you were talking about us beating the curse in 2017 I got chills
11:52 I was so confused until I realized it was just a slip of the tongue. 🤣 I was like “When was Arkansas State ever that good”
That 2016-2019 stretch was like the college football version of cavs vs golden state very fun to watch
What was fun about Cavs vs warriors every year? Unless you were a fan of the warriors how was that enjoyable
Cavs vs golden state was only good the first like 2 years. After they got kd that shit was boring
Jalen Hurts and Henry were never on the same team
video idea: every p4 teams best and worst season since 2000. you can break it up into conferences that way you’re not recording for forever lmao
So it be P5 since pac-12 still kinda exist
@ true, wazzu and oregon st could be added to the big 10 vid because there’s a ton of old pac 12 teams in there
2008 was not our first ever blackout game, it was our third. We’d already blacked out Auburn and Hawaii in 2007
Thank you
Bro Channel desperately needs to blow up 🔥

It sucks because it actually would’ve been easier to, but ©️ was breathing down my back at every step of the way

That 2017 Alabama team was freaking stacked
2011 Sooners lost to Texas tech in Norman, not Lubbock. First home loss for Ou since 2005 week 1 vs TCU

2012 USC was way more disappointing they lost 6 games and gave up 62 to Oregon at home
@@RadicallyOptimistic They lost that many games because they were nowhere near as good as the media wanted them to be. The two teams I mentioned, in addition to the Georgia team with Matthew Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, and AJ Green were objectively great.
USC and Oregon were probably the two best teams in 2007. Both had QB injuries
@@RadicallyOptimistic I’ll give you Oregon, but 07 USC was an overrated underachiever
As a Bama fan, we were LIVID that USC were over us to start the season. Especially given that team ended up winning ANOTHER natty.

Georgia should have made the playoff last year
I’m a Georgia fan so there might be some bias here but I agree
Adrian Peterson wasnt on the 03 OU team he came the year after

Derrick Henry went to the NFL after the 2015 season.

Horribly written, horribly edited, and awful commentary. Fascinating how this has gotten so many views.
Imagine losing an insane Qw to a celebration like what was the celebration😂
There shouldn’t be any rankings until the cfb rankings.
ah yes #9 virginia tech with the florida state logo
Tebow wasn't the reigning Heisman winner in 2009. He won in 2007 and Sam Bradford won in 2008.
No no …lsu doesn’t happen to play in the “other” Death Valley ….we play in Death Valley….they play at Clemson
Oh how sweet it would've been for my 2001 Hurricanes to crush those toothless Gators for the title
Adrian Peterson didn’t arrive to OU until 2004
Still think the 2015 Ohio State teams wins back to back championships if they get into the playoffs
I love people who say the Miami loss in 2002 was controversial. It was the most obvious PI I have ever seen
Ignored Henry ruggs😂😂
