We LOVED New Mexico! We were only there for about a week, but we're so glad our travels brought us through, and we do hope to go back and spend more time there again. Such a beautiful state.
I had a unique perspective. I worked in the oil field, first on rigs, then running heavy equipment building roads and rig locations. Meaning I got to go and spend days to weeks in one spot that 99% 0f the people never see, on reservations and in the mountains. At the time is was just hard labor, but we also had hours to days of just sitting and waiting for a well to do something or on tools. We were free to walk the land, look for pottery or arrowheads. I do wish I had a drone tho. LOL
It really is! I think I mentioned in the description that we hadn't planned on making any videos in NM, but after getting there realized we couldn't pass it up.
I haven’t been home (NM) in 5 years and watching this video made me cry. I miss the wide endless skies, mountains first thing in the morning, and watching rainstorms approaching from miles away. NM never leaves your veins.
Thanks for commenting...yours is the first comment in awhile, and usually when someone comments I end up watching the video again, so this was a fun one to come back to and watch. Brought back good memories of being on the road. I really like the music as well! This particular artist, SeaStockAudio, I used songs from in several different projects because I liked their music so much.
Thanks! I often incorporate speed effects into my videos, but this was the first time that they seemed to actually have a bit of a timelapse effect. So in that regard it was sort of unintentional, but once I saw what it looked like I was happy with it.
This video is nothing short of breathtaking. And I love how you include your wife and little girl. It really adds a personal element to it. All of the videos of yours that I have watched so far are wonderful but this one is my fav, I grew up in Albuquerque. Thank you for these :D Maybe soon you can do one of our turquoise and emerald waters and Everglades here in Florida!
Thank you! It's funny how I decided to include shots of us...at first I was editing the video without us, but it seemed so dry and impersonal, despite the beauty of the landscapes. Then I tried dropping in just two or three clips of us and it changed the piece significantly. Now I wish we had gotten more footage of 'behind the scenes'. I'd love to make a video of the Everglades! We were actually in Florida a month ago at Disney World, but our trip was too short to try to film a drone video. Hopefully we'll make it back there this summer on our roadtrip back east.
Thanks! I've been making videos since I was 11, so even though I've only been droning for a year and a half, many aspects of shooing video, such as composition, have carried over.
Great job. I wold like to visit New Mexico myself, and see some of the sites. In future videos could you add a name of the Mountains, Canyons or Rivers you are flying over. Thanks.
Thanks! More and better videos coming! We just upgraded to the Inspire 1 Raw...just starting to test it out, can't wait to see what we're able to do with it.
Hi, My name is Vitor Lindo and I am a wedding photographer based out of Savannah, GA. I am reaching out to you because I am going to be shooting a wedding in Santa Fe, NM on August 18th and was wondering if you second shoot for other people? If so, would you be available Saturday, August 18th? I need some aerial photographs and videos of the wedding with a drone. If you are not available or don't typically second shoot for other people, would you happen to know anyone that does? Thank you so much for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon!
I'm sorry I didn't see this comment when you posted it. Now the wedding is only a little over a week away. I don't actually live in New Mexico, we were there on an RVing trip around the country. So if you were looking for someone local, I couldn't help. Also, even if you were up for flying me to second-shoot for you, while I don't technically have 8/18 booked for anything, I've got a lot of editing that I'm working on currently, so I'm not really looking to put more on my plate. I hope you're able to find someone! Good luck with the wedding.
Thanks, +Drone Maniac! Happy to have you be part of the community! Question: since your name is "Drone Maniac" you obviously are interested in drones: I'm working on tutorials this year...are there any particular tutorials you'd be interested in seeing?
I'm definitely not the right person to do a tutorial on Resolve, as I've never used it before. That's actually on my list of programs to learn, so in the coming months I'll be watching a bunch of other creator's tutorials on how to use it. :-) But, I do have some experience with transitions and title work, so I'll add that to my list of videos to start developing. Thank you for the suggestions!
That's really breathtaking . Awesomeness !! Can you pleas share the locations where you filmed ? For someone like me who is not as familiar with NM it would greatly help
Thank you so much for this...I'm recently retired and live in Las Cruces, NM and looking forward to shooting the area...can you tell me where you are at 00:01:18? Thanks again!
Great video again. Good production and good choice of music. You got a thumbs up from me :) Why can't you also make a 'behind the scenes' film on your next project? Wants to see more of how you are making the films..... greetings from Norway (Kevin)
I will make one soon. We're going back on the road in about two months to film some more, so hopefully we can get enough behind the scenes footage to actually put a BTS video together.
Hi Alan, thanks for the interest! I charge a licensing fee for use of my footage. Making videos and filming stock footage is how I make a living, so licensing for a fee is necessary. Let me know if you’re interested in licensing.
I disagree. I really don't like the look of 60fps. I shot this at 30fps, but wanted it to look as film-like as possible, so intentionally edited in a 24fps timeline. Thanks for watching though! We'll probably just have to agree to disagree. :-)
Hi! This is Anne Gaba of GMA Network Philippines. I just want to ask if you can lend us this video of New Mexico, USA. We would like to use this as support file for our segment. This will air locally and internationally with one possible replay. It may also used on all our social media platforms. We will wait for your soonest response. Thank you!
+Altair Evercroft it's been so long since I've watched Breaking Bad that I didn't get the reference at first...so I looked up Los Pollos Hermanos to see what you were talking about, then it clicked. Unfortunately we didn't actually even go to Albuquerque on this trip, so I guess we'll have to catch that next time.
Gotta be honest, great footage but the processing is really poorly done, the clips are so short I can't even see what is going on. Need to let them last longer please! Thanks.
I spent a third of a lifetime in New Mexico. The truth is, you could spend your whole life there and not see it all. My heart is still there.

God, New Mexico is beautiful.

I moved away to north Carolina. An man was that a mistake
I live in New Mexico and these views keep me here. I love my drone and gh5
Thanks

I'm binge watching all your videos right now, they are so good.
Thanks - we love our state and you did a beautiful job of capturing why many of us moved here, love it here and call it home! Stunning!
We'd love to come back...it is such a beautiful state. I'm glad we were able to capture and represent it well.
Blue Mantle Films - by all means, come again! We love sharing! And at the risk of being too repetitive: beautiful job!
Passing through New Mexico and Arizona is just so nice.
Thank you for your awesome video. It's been many years since lived in New Mexico and I miss it every day. I never felt more alive.
Omg so beautiful. I'm going there for spring break
I'm from Taos and I really loved these drone shots
You did an awesome job
Everything I love about New Mexico!
We weren't there as long as we would have liked, but it was beautiful...it made our job easy. :-)
There’s nothing to do there
Miss new Mexico, Albuquerque I lived there for 15 yrs. Now I accepted a job offer in park city utah. Living in utah since October last year.
I wish to thank you for sharing this awesome drone video with me .
Great video. I love flying my drone in New Mexico. Big, blue skies.
Beautiful. I love where I live. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of the world.

This is why i invested in a drone. I love this video and want to do this with my drone.
Great film , wish it was longer.

You do a killer job framing your shots! Looks great!

You didn’t go to the Canadian Escarpment or Capolin mountain volcano??
Really great video!
Thanks! More and better videos coming! We just upgraded to the Inspire 1 Raw...just starting to test it out, can't wait to see what we're able to do with it.

Yes maybe a di Vince resolve 14 tutorial. Transitions and title work would be nice.

Also is 00:02:11 the road from Alamogordo to Cloudcroft?
1:18 is Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.
G Randy Brown 2:11 (I think) was on the low road to Taos, but I don’t remember where on the road.
@@BlueMantleFilms Thanks again!

New mexico is a pretty chill state since its not one of the popular states
home!!
Really amazing! but try 60 frames next time, it would be much better.

+Anne Bernadette Thank you for reaching out. Please send me an email at matt (at) bluemantlemedia (dot) com, so we can discuss.
+Anne Bernadette Did you send an email? I haven't seen anything, just want to make sure I didn't miss it.
Don't forget to eat at Los Pollos Hermanos!

what the name and where is the bridge you were on at 1:30 ?
That's the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, about ten miles northwest of Taos.
It is the Rio Grande gorge bridge.
Black Mesa
Gotta be honest, great footage but the processing is really poorly done, the clips are so short I can't even see what is going on. Need to let them last longer please! Thanks.
Your opinion of course. I liked the video and I thought it was well done.
