Savings and investing should be first. In the USA you can have that automatically taken out of your check and goes directly into those accounts. The rest of your money is then budgeted for bills etc. Do not touch your investments.
Just because you can pay for something, doesn't mean you can afford it. Wow! This hit home hard! Thanks for the invaluable information.
