Finally made this tonight & it was amazing but I made a "clean the fridge" & use what you've got version. I used both cherry tomatoes & baby heirloom tomatoes which gave a really beautiful color blend & flavor. I also added 6 cloves of fresh garlic before I cooked it, didn't chop them just peeled them & tossed them with the tomatoes & olive oil. Since I didn't have fresh basil on hand I decided to add some herbs & seasonings prior to putting it I the oven. I only added a pinch of salt to the tomatoes & garlic since the feta has plenty but to everything I added pepper, garlic powder & herbs de Provence. When using dried herbs I find it beneficial to wake them up, so I put roughly a heaping tsp of the herbs de Provence in my hand & gave it a good rub between my palms before sprinkling over the tomatoes & feta. I also used cows milk feta because I find it more mild in flavor than goat/sheep's milk feta plus it was on sale. In my cupboard I had fettuccine noodles so that's what I used. Also in my cupboard I've got a big container of California style garlic salt which was gifted to me. I prefer garlic powder because I use very minimal salt when cooking but I find the California garlic salt perfect to add to pasta water. The dehydrated garlic plumps back up so when you strain your pasta it's covered in little bits of garlic & parsley adding just a touch of lovely mild flavor. After I'd put the noodles in a bowl I added just a splash of olive oil & a tiny bit more of the herbs de Provence & stirred it all together to prevent sticking. After pulling the pan of tomatoes & feta out of the oven I added in about 6 cups of baby spinach as I was stirring everything together making sure to burst every tomato & smash those cloves of garlic so they could really get mixed around evenly. I then added the fettuccine noodles & abt 1/2 cup of pasta water. This was really lovely & I had to tell my 9 year old son repeatedly to slow down because he was eating it so feverishly. He's not picky but he's very particular about pasta as he didn't actually start enjoying it until he was about 5 or 6. I was very happy that he loved this as much as I did & we'll definitely be bringing it to family gatherings in the future.
@@Feelgoodfoodie I'm really glad you sparked a light with this recipe because as you said it's so versatile & pretty cost effective as well. I'm glad you said something about the crumbles. I made this last night (for the second time now) and sure enough, the store was out of blocks of feta. I bought the crumbles instead and they worked just fine. Such and easy and tasty recipe - it's no wonder it now has stores in the U.S. out of feta. This was so easy and so delicious! I put whole garlic cloves along with the tomatoes and feta to make it infuse the oil instead of fresh garlic after. Yummy! Many thanks!🎉

This stuff is awesome! I tried you're version 3 today. One thing I added at the end which you might want to try out (totally optional). Pitted black olives. Gives it some Greek flavor and goes really well with the feta and cherry tomatoes.

I make this but I add garlic and chive cream cheese and cooked chicken to it. Sometimes I also add fresh baby spinach. It's very filling and simply delicious.
I really like to replace the basil with rosemary. I put some fresh rosemary branch in the olive oil with the cherry tomato and it really help to infuse the sauce with the herb flavor!
You can use mascarpone, burrata, or Philadelphia cream cheese if feta is unavailable. For extra cheese kick, pecorino Romano or Parmesan reggiano add interest.
I use chilli olive oil and chilli flakes. Immense. Vine cherry tomatoes seem to give the best flavour too. This dish really is minimum effort, maximum results.

I will definitely make this feta pasta recipe too on my UA-cam Channel.thank you for sharing this video.
So excited for you to try it! You're so welcome!
It looks absolutely delicious, I can't wait to make it!! I might also add some kalamata olives just to change it up a little.
I really like to replace the basil with rosemary. I put some fresh rosemary branch in the olive oil with the cherry tomato and it really help to infuse the sauce with the herb flavor!
That sounds delicious! There are so many great ways to personalize this recipe!
Yumm!! I made the same recipe on my channel 😊 I added Italian sausage to mine and it was so good 😚
That sounds like such a great addition!
You can use mascarpone, burrata, or Philadelphia cream cheese if feta is unavailable. For extra cheese kick, pecorino Romano or Parmesan reggiano add interest.
We love it it’s a regular at our house!!!! 😊
Makin this TONIGHT!!
Hope you enjoyed!
@@Feelgoodfoodie My family killed it. Tastes even better the next day!!
I use chilli olive oil and chilli flakes. Immense. Vine cherry tomatoes seem to give the best flavour too. This dish really is minimum effort, maximum results.
Finally somebody that added the pasta water
Yes! Whenever I cook pasta, I like to save 1/2 a cup of pasta water just in case the pasta dish comes out dry.
I am finally going to make this today...u r so fun to watch....thanks!
Definitely worth the hype. I'm trying roasted rep peppers instead of tomatoes and goat cheese instead of feta. Hope it comes out OK 🫰
