Baked Feta Cheese Pasta | Tik Tok Recipe

- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Today we're making the Tik Tok Baked Feta Pasta. I wanted to see just how good this recipe is. This dish started in Finland and it's allegedly the reason grocery stores in Finland ran out of feta cheese.
Ingredients:
1) 2 pints (~900g) cherry tomatoes
2) 6 tbsp olive oil
3) 8-10 cloves garlic
4) 1/2 tbsp black pepper, 1/2 tbsp salt, 1/2 tbsp oregano
5) 8oz (~227g) feta cheese)
6) ~150g pasta
7) (optional) 1/2 tbsp chilli flakes, basil, parsley
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven 400F (204C)
2) Place cherry tomatoes and chopped garlic in a baking tray
3) Add olive oil, black peper, salt, oregano, (optional chili flakes) and mix
4) Add Feta cheese in the center and add a little more olive oil and seasoning on top
5) Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, then broil for 5 minutes for a total of 30 minutes in the oven
6) While cheese/tomato is in the oven cook your pasta.
7) Take baking tray out of the oven and mash tomato and feta cheese
8) Mix in your pasta. (optional: add some fresh herbs before serving)
As always, please enjoy :^)

Hope you guys enjoyed the video. What else would you like to see me make on this channel?
Please, please please please wait for the water to boil before you add pasta and salt. Please 🙏❤️ (and don't overcook) (and be sure to have the condiment ready when the pasta is done, don't let it sit there while preparing the sauce/condiments.) thank you ❤️😋
@@CeciliaGullace So multiple people have brought this up now. I always make sure the water is boiling for fresh pasta but have found no difference for dry pasta if I let the water come to a boil. Has anyone actually tried making dry pasta with boiling water vs letting water come to a boil and noticed a difference?
@@MulberryStreet every pot, every flame and every time you fill up the pot with water is a different temperature. If you wait for the water to get to a boil and then add salt and pasta, you will have the same result every time you make it. If you put the pasta in the water before it boils, you don't know how many minutes it will need to get to a boil depending on the initial temperature of the water that is different every time, and that equals to a very very high possibility of overcooking your pasta. You probably know that even one minute can make a huge difference in the result of a delicious recipe. Remember that the 1-2 minutes after you drain or mix the pasta and the condiment, it keeps cooking, that's why you have to drain the pasta a couple minutes before it's done, and that's why you absolutely have to have the condiment ready before the pasta, you can't let it sit drained. Nonetheless, just for the sake of the experiment, i will try your way. Just think about that waiting for the water to boil it's such an easy step that does not waste your time, and you tummy will thank you veeeeeeery much❤️
@@CeciliaGullace Wow thank you for the detailed response! To be honest I never put that much thought into making pasta and just assumed everyone had their own way so I didn't put a lot of thoughts into it while creating this vid. Thank you so much for the information!
Make anything you like. Just make more videos😊
I like this guy. No talking, no intro. Just straight to it. Really enjoyed your video!
Thank you!! 😊
I was going to say the same!
Facts !!!
Cringe
I understand..... Sometimes The people talk too much!!!!
Finally someone who actually cooks with a realistic amount of garlic. All of it.
Lmao🤣🤣
Literally. I don’t see the point in using one ahh I just Chuck them all in. This one is probably the best one I’ve seen of someone cooking it
@@skyebrailsford9795 I have an issue with a lot of recipes asking for 3-4 cloves of garlic and some karen in the comments is like “THATS TOO MUCH”. It just isn’t enough at all lol
@@m0ldy_cupcake sometimes I cook for my family and like when I’m making a spaghetti bolognaise I put a full bulb in but honestly if I could get away with it i could easily put like 5 bulbs in hahaha
Garlic is a must have so delicious
The low music in the background and the sound of crushing and dicing is so soothing
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
it makes me sleepy and hungry at the same time
@@MulberryStreet it is. You could do asmr
it is over the top and so annoying.
Love the simplicity, no talking, & soft music, I don't care what you make lol I will continue to watch 💖🤗
Glad you liked it! Thank you so much for the support!
So this is what everyone is talking about. I must've been living under a rock.
Lol kept seeing it everywhere so I had to give it a try
And a trend I definitely want to try
i’ve tried it before and it was great just make sure u don’t add too much feta bc it will make is very rich and i prefer light dishes but i mean it’s ur choice also GARLIC is everything sis go ahead and add as much as u desire 💅🏽😔
@@shrekboiisamasterpiece681 i
I suggested not chopping the garlic up! Just peel it and toss it in! It turns out so much better 😍
I rarely comment on videos but this was a real masterpiece to watch. I hate when there is too much talking and bad angles in cooking videos . This was straight to the point and on top of that it almost felt like i was watching an asmr with all those crisp cutting noises lol. Good job and definitely subbed
lol thank you!
I tried this recipe, and it was phenomenal. Having a Mediterranean food store close to me that sells fresh Feta cheese makes it even better. Thank you for making this beautiful video
Glad you liked it!
I’m on the Mediterranean diet & so jealous of that store you’re near to get the feta‼️Guess I’ll try Trader Joe’s💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
How this guy replys to almost everyone is just amazing.... never seen someone who is so concerned about their viewers 👍👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
♥️
Definitely trying this recipe tomorrow. Beautiful filming, sound effects, everything. I haven’t seen any cooking channels yet that make videos straight to the point and to my liking like this one. You’re accounts gonna grow really big in a short amount of time!
Thank you for the kind words 😊
What sound effects
Was it good?
@@inyabloodclatt7242 honestly its not that great, feta cheese is kinda sour, at least the one we have. It's not terrible, its edible but nothing special, it literally tastes like feta and tomatoes. And Im Greek, so I shouldnt say it, but im undecover so its fine...
Ever since this recipe came out, Trader Joe's has been out of their delicious Greek feta! Very soothing video...refreshing without chatter or loud music!
Haha several people have said the same thing in the comments as well 😂😂
That’s funny because I have been to a dozen stores and Trader Joe’s is the only place I found it they had tons they even had a tik tok pasta display where all the ingredients were at
Lmao that's how you do business
I recentlyran into this recipe ibeen looking for feta cheese for about a month or more finally ran into it in costco!!!
I am Greek and never thought to cook feta cheese this way.
I have all the ingredients and will definitely try it.
Thank you
Finally a recipe which doesn't want me to drown everything on oil!
Oh my god thank you for not having a long ass intro, some people just talk too much.
As a Greek you have made me very proud. New sub here. I will watch anything you make. Your choice of cinematogrophy is exquisite and soothing to the soul.
Thank you 🥺
I just tried this for the first time tonight. Omg 😱 why haven’t I been doing this for *years?!?*
I’ve made it today.. only I’ve put mozzarella and cheddar instead of feta cheese... it was AMAZING, so tasteful and so quickly 😋😋😋😍😍 Will be repeated definitely...
I've never tried it with mozzarella but it sounds delicious. I actually like mozzarella more than feta 😅
@@MulberryStreet Then you should definitely give it a try, it melts equally well.. I have added grated cheddar for salinity.. I was wondering what extra vegetables could be added? 🤔
@@Oneinabillionbb Sounds good by itself already. Maybe onions?
@@MulberryStreet I thought of baby spinach maybe... I really enjoy cooking and love experimenting 😍😋
thanks for the mozzarella/cheddar idea, my husband hates feta, that sound equally good
Try tearing your basil so the oils aren't wasted in your cutting board and on your knife. Great video!
So soothing to just watch cooking with no loud intro or over explaining. ❤️❤️
I want to try this over grilled chicken instead of pasta!!!
or put garlic grilled chicken ontop of the pasta yum
It's the first thing I thought when I heard about this recipe: it would be so much better with chicken instead of pasta!
Exactly what I thought. I'm celiac.
This was so calming and relaxing to watch. I appreciate videos such as this that gets straight to the point, without the excessive talking. I will definitely try this. Great job!
Just finished making and serving it to the family. It is delicious and everyone says thank you for the recipe!
I made this just now with Brie onions and tomatoes. It was yummy. Great recipe. Thank you
This video was very soothing to watch. I felt like I was watching The Cooking channel or the food network. New sub here
Glad you liked it ☺️
It’s like a crazy food ASMR. Not the gross ones with mouth sounds. This was perfect! Glad I’m not the only one.
I just made this and put my own little spin on it. The entire family devoured it! 🤩
if you don't mind me asking, what was your spin? I'm curious!
This whole video from the visuals, the music choice & the way the sound of what you were doing was over the music was perfect. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing & very soothing to the soul. God Bless you
Thank you!
I made this after watching this video month's ago. It's now a weekly go for dinner as it's so quick and easy to make. Passed on to my DIL and she's now hooked on it.😊
I love feta. This is heaven. This video made my day.
Out of the oven, the cheese actually looked way to perfect to destoy it...
The music its so calming ...i am even falling asleep
This is a delicious and easy pasta. I recommend adding a bit of pasta water to the tomato/feta mixture to make it a little more "saucy." Yummmm.
This was the most relaxing video ever! Looked amazing! Thank you!
thank you for the kind words!
So greatful that you translated the protions into grams aswell, super helpful and tasty! Thank you so much!
When I bake mine, I add the sweetest tomatoes I can find, olive oil, ricotta cheese, oregano, basil, chives, chia seeds, reconstituted lemon juice, salt, black pepper, sometimes powdered garlic and I always use WHOLE WHEAT pasta.
Really enjoy the fact that your knife of choice is a cleaver.
Omg! No talking and chill music. I’m here for it!!!
thank you!
I honestly enjoy cooking videos that are in silence just don’t talk show me what you are doing .... loved it
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I made this last night and added chicken and red pepper flakes, it was good and spicy just the way I liked it 😊
Your actually so underrated, keep up the good work!

I made this tonight with the addition of fennel seed, parmesan, shallots and white wine.
I find it turns out way better when you don’t cut up the garlic and you just toss it in to roast with the tomatoes and feta! It turns to a paste when you smash it all together 😍🤤🤤
Actually I agree with this lol
This was a pleasure to watch. Relaxing instrumental in the background, sophisticated, and clear directions accompanying the visual feast. I almost licked the screen :)
It was a joy after Instagram-ish video’s and the endless line-up of the same two songs. My earballs can’t take it anymore. Thank you.

Thanks for watching!
As a Greek, I APPROVE! It is perfectly delicious.
I loved the beautiful music and also the silence!
I'm a new sub!
Thanks!
Everyone in my area must be trying this recipe. It took a long time and several stores, to find "block feta".
I'm looking forward to trying this 🙂
Hope you like it! Several people have said that their grocery store ran out as well 😂
"Laughs in Greek"
Try this recipe with:
-Kathoura cheese (soft high protein white cheese from Ikaria island - taste of mild feta & mozzarella)
-Spearmint leaves instead of basil
-Papardelle pasta
A mind blowing light & fresh version.
Now you got 933 Subs,
Love everything what you do
Rose🌹
Thank you!
Wait, he had 933 subs a week ago?!
This looks delicious. However, adding more salt to feta cheese, which is already salty enough, may not be the healthiest option. Having added salt to the cherry tomatoes and having boiled the pasta in salty water should be enough. In Greece, we sometimes refrain from adding salt to the classic Greek salad if the feta cheese is quite salty.
I have been making this for quite a while lol all the sudden its in fashion apprently haha. I add sundries tomato, black olives red capsi and a onion with the cherry tomato and feta its my Anti Pesto Pasta!
yum! sounds delicious!
Hello! So do you bake/broil the sun dried tomatoes and the red capsi?
@@jj-vf7wm hello JJ! Well I cook pasta then add just store brought sundried tomatoes I add the oil from that too, black olives then chop up the capsi fresh not baked it gets baked in the oven enough but you could pre bake capsi if you want, chopped onion and extra cherry tomatoes add the feta give a good mix and add what seasoning or fresh herbs you like then bake, its one of the most simplest dishes but so delicious! Add some parmesan when you serve it if you like also nice with green salad I quite often serve it with spinach rocket red onion cucumber cherry tomatoes and I put in a pan walnuts with a bit of brown sugar once caramelized add red wine vinegar then I add them to the salad with more feta and parmesan and I'm in heaven haha seriously one of my fav meals..
@@pennybourke1111 Oh wow, that does sound delicious! I’ll give it a go. I have sundried tomatoes but they aren’t packaged with oil like some are in the jars. The ones I have come in a sealed bag with no oil. Do you think I can use that too?
@@jj-vf7wm I would just add some Olive oil extra you need it so the capsi onion dont burn out and the feta gets roasted but they should be fine to use still I would think.
Super relaxing and I'm not usually an ASMR people. Something about the sounds of that cheese wrapper tho.
Lmao thanks!
this is so peaceful

Watching you pouring cold water over pasta and putting a lid on was rather painful 😳
Also seeing him salting the feta.

It's gross
I made basically the same version but I also added parsley and olives
Want to try this so bad I have all the ingredients must cooking tomorrow
Loved the way you filmed this, so relaxing and enjoyable to watch and that recipe!!
I`ve never seen pasta being cooked like that. First boil water, no? I use herbed goat cheese. I`m not a feta cheese person.
Yes!! You should put pasta in boiling water😅
Yeah, that part discredited the entire video for me. Wtf was that?
I cook pasta like that because putting pasta in boiling water scares me incase it splashes me
😂 I guess goat cheese is that much better than sheep cheese 😂
It doesn't matter if the water cold or boiled in the end pasta will be cooked.
Everything about this is simply wonderful. The music is an added bonus. Thank you ☺️
thank you! glad you liked it!
You cooking pasta in cold water? I’ve never seen it before 😳
Me neither. It usually makes it sticky and chewy.
Do you guys not taste your food while you cook?
@@MulberryStreet what do you mean? Of course we taste the food 😂 How is it related to cooking pasta method? We just add pasta to boiling water. 🤗
Have to make these for kiddos
Yes!
Such a calm video. Thank you! I am doing this now and cant wait to try😋 only instead of pasta I am doing cauliflower rice :)
ah another pasta with tomato skins, thanks!
its just like a therapy u see it u love it u adore it every sec gives the feel of serendipity
This Greek is wondering why anyone would put salt on feta cheese?
Sorry this is the recipe I've been seeing 😅
Feta cheese sold in other countries tends to be less salty than the one we have in Greece

First time have seen, that pasta is placed in cold water.
Parents taught me that. Stops the cooking process
I do that all the time... 😅 Is that bad?

Beautiful video. Ended straight in my cooking playlist

nobody: me rn 🤤
Looks fabulous! I love feta cheese, garlic, and tomatoes.
maybe you could cook it in the oven topped with cheddar after?
That's a good idea! If anyone has tried this let us know how it is.
@@MulberryStreet I didn't like it was to sour. Maybe better with mozzarella.
Hey no prob. Several ppl have suggested that. If you make it let us know how it turns out!
@@Fatima-fq9gr I'd think alot of the "sour" taste comes from the acidity of the tomatoes. I don't think it would work with mozz, you would just end up with blobs of cheese. Feta sorta melts into creamy nothing which is why it works
Please, please please please wait for the water to boil before you add pasta and salt. Please 🙏❤️ (and don't overcook) (and be sure to have the condiment ready when the pasta is done, don't let it sit there while preparing the sauce/condiments.) thank you ❤️😋
Aside from that, loved the video💖
Could I use regular size tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes??
All the recipes calls for cherry tomato but I don't see why regular tomatoes wouldn't work. Try it out and let us know!
