@@CeciliaGullace So multiple people have brought this up now. I always make sure the water is boiling for fresh pasta but have found no difference for dry pasta if I let the water come to a boil. Has anyone actually tried making dry pasta with boiling water vs letting water come to a boil and noticed a difference?
@@MulberryStreet every pot, every flame and every time you fill up the pot with water is a different temperature. If you wait for the water to get to a boil and then add salt and pasta, you will have the same result every time you make it. If you put the pasta in the water before it boils, you don't know how many minutes it will need to get to a boil depending on the initial temperature of the water that is different every time, and that equals to a very very high possibility of overcooking your pasta. You probably know that even one minute can make a huge difference in the result of a delicious recipe. Remember that the 1-2 minutes after you drain or mix the pasta and the condiment, it keeps cooking, that's why you have to drain the pasta a couple minutes before it's done, and that's why you absolutely have to have the condiment ready before the pasta, you can't let it sit drained. Nonetheless, just for the sake of the experiment, i will try your way. Just think about that waiting for the water to boil it's such an easy step that does not waste your time, and you tummy will thank you veeeeeeery much❤️
